Politics › 2023 Presidential Election: Oshiomhole Stop Ahmed Tinubu And Ganduje's Ticket by Gjrich(op): 8:54am On Mar 21, 2020
The Abuja Federal High Court's judgement suspending Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress(APC) has put to an end what would have snowballed into Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Abdullahi Ganduje's ticket for the 2023 Presidential Election.

APC insider disclosed that the party and it's structures were heading towards Moslem -Moslem's ticket of Ahmed Tinubu and Abdullahi Ganduje before the shocker from the court last Wednesday.

We gathered that the high and mighty were behind the judgement which removed the former Edo governor from his plum job.

"Oshiomhole was deceived to think that the case before him was no case. He was even fooled to be in the court. This was part of destroying him by those who have used him and dumped him", the source revealed.

However, Ganduje, who is maintaining the same political structures with Ahmed Tinubu was said to have risen up to the occasion as he pulled a call through to Oshiomhole to forget the Court's judgement as he promised to upturn it.

We gathered that Ganduje lived up to expectation as the Federal High Court sitting in his territory of Kano overturned the judgement.

But, the judgement in Kano instead of turning into celebration further sparked agitation for Oshiomhole to step down.

Meanwhile, we gathered that one individual who is continuously fingered in the APC's brouhaha is the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, who wanted Christian-Moslem's ticket if power must shift to South in 2023.

The source revealed that El-Rufai was ready to pick the ticket as the running mate of the would be candidate from the South.

Politics › Coronavirus Pandemic: Muhammadu Buhari Missing In Action--ezekwesili by Gjrich(op): 8:29am On Mar 21, 2020
Nigeria’s former minister of education, Oby Ezekwesili, has said President Muhammadu Buhari is missing in action as Coronavirus pandemic spreads across the country.

She made this known in a statement on Friday.

Through her spokesperson, Ozioma Ubabukoh, Mrs Ezekwesisli said rather than the president to explain to the public his administration’s strategies to contain coronavirus, the “president is missing in action.”

“Fellow Citizens, it is grossly irresponsible of Nigeria President, General Muhammadu Buhari, to hide away from addressing and assuring his citizens at a time like this when leaders of other nations are doing much more.”

She ordered the leadership of the National Assembly to summon Mr Buhari.

“NASS must quickly avert any repeat of President Buhari’s lax counter-terrorism war that has cost the country too many lives. A contagion from deadly #CoronaVirus must be avoided immediately. NOW! Nigeria simply cannot afford the implications of an exponential increase in the number of citizens infected by #CoronaVirus. It is insensitive of the President to be mute at a time like this.

“That @followlasg published that it is already contact-tracing 1,300 Nigerians in one way or the other linked to confirm cases of the disease should worry us.

“Let President Buhari come out of his self-isolation and lead his country and people to win these wars. The economic impact of the health crisis will be severe on our majority’s extremely poor of more than 93 million. President Buhari must be reminded that leadership is not about personal comfort”, she wrote.

Politics › If Herdsman Had Known That Deltans Were Tough People They Wouldn't Have Attack by Gjrich(op): 8:18am On Mar 21, 2020
Herdsmen who attacked Deltans must be regretting it by now. They will be saying in their hearts 'what we did in Benue, Enugu, Plateau states and many other places and walk away that is what we did here and this people want to kill us all'. But this is just the beginning. Before Delta state was named big heart it was not an irony. This attack in Delta state will mark the end of herdsmen attacks in any other parts of the country because right now, many hands are on deck and trust Deltans, they will not rest until they win. That is our fighting spirit. We nor dey carry last, ask anybody, they will tell you. I just pity the beggars that were bundled out of the state. Deltans themselves were able to arrest a number of herdsmen involved in the killings although the police came to take them away. Right now, they are complaining that they have not heard about the trial of the herdsmen arrested. Didn't the police take the criminals to court as the law demands? Because the government is always telling us to be peaceful and abide by the law.

Deltan women have protested, urhrobo progressive union have issued warnings, Delta state council of traditional rulers and royal fathers have held security meetings on the issue of herdsmen. Some Deltans have taken the government to court. Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the president, Muhammadu Buhari and the state commissioner for police have all been taken to court. Deltan youths are being coordinated by Mr Ogaga to send out many herdsmen as soon as possible and many communities have been liberated. Deltans have also blasted their militants for laziness and their refusal to fight. Herdsmen are now feeling the heat.

Culture › Why Lagos Does Not Belong To Yorubas - Oba Rilwan Akiolu by Gjrich(op): 9:46pm On Mar 18, 2020
The Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, has claimed that Lagos State is not part of Yoruba land.

Akiolu’s statement is coming barely a week after he publicly humiliated the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi at an event.

In a statement from Akiolu’s palace, the monarch traced the historical background of the state and why it should not be regarded as part of Yoruba land.

The statement reads: “Coming from the palace, with what I was told by my late paternal grandmother who is a descendant of Oba Ovonramwen Nogbaisi and also reading from factual Historical books, let me share this Knowledge with you all on Eko/Lagos.

“Modern day Lagos was founded by Prince Ado, the son of the Oba of Benin, Prince Ado was the first Oba of Lagos, the son of the Bini King, Prince Ado, named the town Eko until the Portuguese explorer Ruy de Segueira changed the Maritime town to Lagos, which at that time from 1942 was Portuguese expedition center down the African Coast.

“It was a major centre of the slave trade until 1851. Lagos was annexed by Britain via the Lagos treaty of cession in 1861, ending the consular period and starting the British Colonial Period. The remainder of modern day Nigeria was seized in 1886 when the Colony and Protectorate of Nigeria was established in 1914 Lagos was declared its capital due to the struggle of the Bini King.

“Lagos experienced growth prior to the British Colonial rule and even more rapid growth during the Colonial rule throughout the 1960s, 70s, continued through the 80s and 90s till date. Thanks to the Awori’s, Bini’s, Yoruba’s, migrants across the nation and world at large, as no particular group of people can take the glory alone.

“Lagos is made up of Lagoons and creeks. The Lagos lagoon, Lagos Harbour, five cowne creeks, Ebute-Metta creeks, Porto-Novo creeks, New canal, Badagry creeks, Kuramo waters and Light house creeks.

“The Awori’s and Bini’s are known to be the first settlers of the Eko land. The Awori’s are speakers of a distinct dialect close to that of the Yoruba language with a rich Bini mixture. Traditionally, Awori’s were found in Ile-Ife, they were known to be the Bini’s who followed their self-exiled Prince, the first son of the Ogiso (now called Oba) of Benin Kingdom, whose step-mother was after his head.

“The exiled Benin Prince Izoduwa known to the Yorubas as Ooduwa (Oduduwa) was made ruler of the Ife people due to his powers and followers from the Great Benin-Kingdom.

“Izoduwa (Ooduwa) was made the first King of Ile-Ife in 1230 AD. His followers from his father’s Kingdom in Benin are the today’s Awori people who settled in Eko now called Lagos.

“In the 1300, the King of Benin-Empire heard from one of his traders who was a settler in Eko on how the Bini’s were treated by the Awori’s who lived in their area. Upon hearing this, the King of Benin commanded the assembling of a war expedition, led by his son, Prince Ado, which headed the settlement of the Awori’s and demanded explanation.

“On arriving Eko, Prince Ado and his Army were more than received. The Aworis asked the Bini Prince to stay and become their leader. Ado agreed on the condition that they surrender their sovereignty to the Oba of Benin, to which the people agreed. Hearing this, the King of Benin gave his permission for Prince Ado and the expedition to remain in Eko.

“The Oba of Benin sent some of his chiefs including the Eletu, Odibo, Obanikoro and others to assist his son, Oba Ado in the running of Eko.

“From the crowing of Prince Ado as the first Oba of Lagos (then called Eko), Lagos served as a major center for slave trade from which the Aworis, the Oba of Benin and his son the Oba of Lagos and all the children/descendants who took over as his successors for over four centuries supported the trade.

“The Oba of Benin was the head of the Benin Empire which are the present day Western, Southern and Eastern modern day Nigeria. The King never obliged anyone to speak the Bini language as he believed everyone was entitled

We Don't Have A President, No Need Asking For Presidential Address, Aisha Yesufu Replies Senate.

The co-coordinator of Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG), Aisha Yesufu has called on Nigerians to forget the issue of a presidential address over the coronavirus issue.

She said there was no need to call for presidential address on the matter because “we do not have a President.”

The Nigerian Senate had earlier on Wednesday called on President Muhammadu Buhari to address citizens of his administration’s efforts to address the pandemic.

The Senate made the call after five more patients with Coronavirus were confirmed in the country, making the total of people suffering from the disease in Nigeria eight.

But in a tweet on her Twitter handle-@AishaYesufu, the BBOG co-coordinator wrote:

“Dear Nigerians, we do not have a President. No need of wasting energy asking for a presidential address.

“Accepting that fact is part of solution. What then can we do to curb this virus going forward?

“What can we do in our capacity as individuals, institutions and organisations?”

Viktom:
See photo of Adam Oshiomole in 1998 at funtua textile , Nigerian politics is sweet oo!!

Facebook user shared before photos in the early 1998 of Adam Oshiomole, he really look bad that time compare to today, money is good oo!!

Who is Adam Oshiomole?

Adams Oshiomhole is a former two-term Governor of Edo State in Nigeria. He served under the umbrella of the All Progressive Congress (APC) having taken office with the defunct Action Congress (AC) in 2007. Before stepping into politics, Oshiomole was the leader/president of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) where he gained huge popularity.

Biography

Oshiomhole was born Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole on April 4, 1952, in Itamoh, a small community near Auchi in Edo State. He grew up in a Muslim family but has since converted to Christianity, thanks to his late wife Clara.

After his secondary education, Oshiomhole’s career kicked off, as he got a job with the Arewa Textiles Company where he was elected Union Secretary. From his desk at the design section of the industry, a young Oshiomhole observed huge cases of criminality perpetrated by the management. Workers were paid very poorly, the disciplinary regime was brutal, authoritarian and unsparing, leaving no room for a fair hearing.

Also, union leaders at the time were very ineffective, weak and timid. This gave rise to his unquenchable desire for good leadership as the workers did not get value for their membership of the union. In the year 1971, a spontaneous uprising earned him an opportunity to prove himself as a union leader, and in 1975, he became a full-time trade union organizer.

To further his education, Adams Oshiomhole traveled to the United Kingdom where he majored in economics and industrial relations at Ruskin College, Oxford. At the end of the demanding and rigorous multi-disciplinary programme at Ruskin College, Adams emerged as the Best Foreign Student. Higher education equipped him with enhanced theoretical and intellectual acumen.

He went on to attend the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, kuru, and the Kennedy School of Government of the Howard University.

In 1982, he was appointed the General Secretary/Chief Executive of the National Union of Textile and Garment Workers of Nigeria. It was obvious that a genius was on board. The capacities that he brought on board, gave the union a remarkable facelift. Under his leadership, the union was well managed and eventually acquired investments in real estate and generated a cash reserve that is more than what many state governments can boast of.

It was only a matter of time before he became a major player in the politics of the NLC. He was first elected deputy president of the NLC in 1988. In 1995, the NLC was dissolved by the then military government but was revived back after democracy was restored in 1999. This time around, Adams Oshiomhole became president of the newly revived NLC on January 28, 1999. He is known for his very many significant contributions as the Labour leader. He negotiated a 25% wage increase for public sector workers in the early administration of the then President of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo.

He most famously led a nationwide strike against high oil prices in Nigeria. He had fought for the reversal of pump price increases introduced by President Obasanjo leading to strikes and demonstrations against the increases. He was persecuted for his relentless moves against the then government concerning the fuel crisis. It had been alleged in October 2009 that the Labour leader was forcefully abducted by State Security Services during a protest, but the Nigerian government had said he submitted to voluntary custody.

Adams Oshiomhole is known for his outstanding role in bringing about a culture of radical and critical citizenship, where leaders can be questioned by their followers. This led to him being driven into politics as he contested for Edo State Governor in 2007. He contested for the gubernatorial elections but was said to have lost the election initially to the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate, Oserheimen Osunbor. Oshiomhole and his party, AC, however, did not subscribe to the election results on the grounds that it was rigged.

On 20 March 2008, an Edo State election tribunal nullified the election of Oserheimen Osunbor and declared Oshiomhole the winner. This led to his assumption as the governor On 11th November 2008, when a federal Appeal Court sitting in Benin City upheld the ruling of the state’s elections petitions tribunal. He won a second term in 2012.

In 2018, he emerged as the National Chairman of APC after an affirmative vote by the party’s delegates from the 36 states of the Federation. Since then, Adams has been at the helm of affairs of the party’s activities.

Romance › Don't Do These 5 Things For A Woman, No Matter How Much You Love Her by Gjrich(op): 8:42am On Mar 09, 2020
Dear men, no matter how much you love a woman, there are things you should never ever do all in the name of pleasing her.

As a man, you have the responsibility to make your woman happy but there should be a limit. You have an ego to defend as a man and you should not let a woman ruin it or take advantage of you simply because you love her.

Never do these five things to please a woman:

1. Don't Pay her school fees

Unless she is your wife, never pay for a woman’s education. It is okay to help her and support her when she is in school but paying everything for her is a big NO. If you feel compelled to do it however, do not assume that she will forever be indebted to you. People change and she might as well choose to love someone else even after all your effort.

2. Don't Commit a crime for her

If you cannot sustain her flashy lifestyle, do not steal or do something stupid just to please her. If she loves you for real, she will understand when you are broke and will not pressure you to sort out her financial matters.

3. Don't Compromise your needs for her

Unless it’s really necessary, you should be a little bit selfish with yourself. You cannot afford to go hungry so that you can send her money to buy food. You can maybe share the little you have but never sacrifice all you got just to make her happy.

4. Don't Forget your dreams

Before you met her, remember you had your own dreams and aspirations. Do not stop chasing them just because she does not like what you do. If you wanted go study abroad, the last thing you want to do is change your mind because she is not comfortable with it. If she cannot wait, let her be but never stop pursuing your dreams to please a woman.

5. Don't Disrespect your family

Women can be so manipulative especially when they know you love them for sure and you can do anything to have them stay. Some will try to show you how bad your family members are and draw you further from them. If she ever leaves you, the only people you will have behind you is your family. So, never cut your family ties to make her happy.

Politics › APC Crisis: Chief Victor Giadom Says He Has Taken Over From Oshiomhole by Gjrich(op): 7:49am On Mar 09, 2020
Chief Victor Giadom, the acting deputy national secretary of the APC insists that the party’s national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, remains suspended.

The acting deputy national secretary says he has taken over the running of the party from the national chairman following a court order which restrained Oshiomhole from parading himself as the chairman.

Giadom explains that as the acting national secretary of the APC, he has the constitutional power to steer the activities of the party.

Chief Victor Giadom, the acting deputy national secretary of the APC has insisted that the party’s national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, remains suspended following a court order which restrained him from parading himself as the chairman.

Giadom in a statement in Abuja on Sunday, March 8, said he had taken over the running of the party from the national chairman, The Nation reports.

He said the national executive council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, will go ahead as planned. Those aiming for presidential seat in 2023 are after me - Oshiomhole cries out.

Giadom urged party members to ignore a notice by some party chieftains which declared the March 17 emergency NEC meeting illegal. He said as the acting national secretary of the APC, he had the constitutional power to steer activities of the party since he was the most senior party official in charge.

Meanwhile, it appears President Muhammadu Buhari has taken a decision to step in and find a lasting solution to the crisis rocking the APC. The crisis is threatening Adams Oshiomhole's position as national chairman of the ruling party.

He was restrained by a court order during the week to stop parading himself as APC chairman. A reliable source who spoke to The Nation said Buhari, the leader of the party, has raised a three-man team to liaise with those who are aggrieved with the national chairman of the APC, Oshiomhole.

There are indications also that the president might ask the National Caucus of the party to lend a helping hand in resolving the crisis.

According to the source, who spoke in confidence, Buhari and his kitchen cabinet are not pleased that his administration is being distracted by the crisis over the fate of the embattled APC national chairman.

The anonymous source expressed optimism that the leaders of the party will be able to reach a compromise that will see the end of the crisis before the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) capitalizes on it.

In another news report, the end of the road may be near for Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as governors on the platform of the APC have asked the National Executive Council (NEC) of the party to immediately replace him to fill the vacuum created by his suspension.

The governors through the Director-General of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Salihu Lukman, on Friday, March 6 asked Oshiomhole to quit.

Islam › Three Things In The Holy Quran Muslims Scholars Don't Want You To Talk About by Gjrich(op): 9:49pm On Mar 08, 2020
The question of which is superior between the holy Quran and the holy Bible has continued to be a topic of global debate between Muslims and Christian faithfuls alike. While many Christians have stressed that the holy Bible is superior and contains the true massage of redemption and eternal security, Muslim scholars on the other hand have continued to hold unto the opposite.

However, an unbiased comparative study of these two sacred books has pointed out some key areas where the Holy Quran showed it's dependency on the holy Bible. Many Muslims don't like talking about of this, while some Muslim scholars have also tried to give a different interpretation other than what is literally believed to be meaning of those suras.

For the sake of public enlightenment and personal evaluation I have listed below three of such suras where the holy Bible and it's doctrines was referenced by the holy Quran.

1. In the holy Quran, Allah referred Muhammad to the holy Bible for more clarifications.

"So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters." (QS. Yunus 10: 94)

2. The holy Quran referred to Jesus as the "word" from Allah

"[And mention] when the angels said, O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah]." (QS. Aal-i-Imraan 3: 45)

3. The holy Quran established Jesus as the true Messiah, the Savior

"The Messiah, son of Mary, was not but a messenger; [other] messengers have passed on before him. And his mother was a supporter of truth. They both used to eat food. Look how We make clear to them the signs; then look how they are deluded." (QS. Al-Maaida 5: 75)

As the debate between the holy Bible and the holy Quran continues, Islam and Christianity have also continued to experience ups and downs in other areas. This have seen some Muslims crossing over to Christianity, with some Christians also crossing over to Islam, while quite some others have partially held unto both religions, branding themselves as Chrislams.

Politics › 2023: See The Noble Man That Is Likely To Succeed Buhari, Not Tinubu by Gjrich(op): 6:53pm On Mar 08, 2020
As the race for 2023 heats up, the question in everyone minds is who will president Buhari hand pick in the fold of the APC or any lucky one to succeed him?

Following the trend of Nigeria politics, be it Governor or President, the incumbent has always be the one that decides who succeed him. I don't see President buhari tolling a deferent path.

Ample reasons will be given to him not to anoint and support Bola Tinubu by those that has his ears, especially those that is been referred to as the cabal and close associates of Mr. President. There are many that view Tinubu as corrupt.

I see president Buhari throwing is weight behind PST. Tunde Bakare of the Latter rain church.

He was once President Buhari running mate under the umbrella of the CPC. I have seen and heard this man speak about the problem bewildering this nation, I must confessed he has the passion to move this nation from its present state.

Recently he paid a visit to Mr. President, speaking to journalist after the visit, he said he told Mr. President that he should begin the search for who will succeed him comes 2023 now.

I have heard him speak about his desire to govern this nation with so much passion and enthusiasm.

The cabal will frustrate every move of Tinubu and Osinbajo to succeed Buhari comes 2023.

But if Buhari will have his way, following the trend of past leaders, I see him going for PST Tunde Bakare. He is corrupt free and untainted in all ramification.

Don't be surprise when you see the pendulum swinging to the direction of this Noble man as the race for 2023 heats up.

I see president Buhari shocking the corridors of power by his eventual choice.

What do you think?

Let's hear your opinion

Crime › The Youngest Black Boy Sentence To Death In Electric Chair In 20th Century by Gjrich(op): 10:52pm On Mar 07, 2020
George Stinney Jr of African descent was the youngest person to be sentenced to death in the 20th century in the United States.

He was only 14 years old when he was executed in an electric chair.

During his trial, even on the day of his execution, he always carried a bible in his hands, claiming to be innocent.

He was accused of killing two white girls, 11-Year-old Betty, and Mary of 7, the bodies were found near the house where the teenager resided with his parents.

At that time, all members of the jury were white. The trial lasted only 2 hours, and the sentence was dictated 10 minutes later.

The Boy's parents were threatened, and prevented from being present in the courtroom, and subsequently expelled from that city.

Before the execution, George spent 81 days in prison without being able to see his parents.

He was held in solitary, 80 miles from his city. He was heard alone without the presence of his parents or a lawyer.

He was electrocuted with 5,380 volts in his head, imagine all that voltage in a teenager's head.

70 years later, his innocence was finally proven by a judge in South Carolina. The boy was innocent, someone set it up to blame him for being black.

May his innocent soul rest in peace.

Politics › Re: BREAKING : Dubai’s Ruler, Sheikh Mohammed, Abducted And Imprisoned Daughters by Gjrich(m): 11:06am On Mar 06, 2020
dopboy98:
LONDON—Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the ruler of Dubai, ordered his henchmen to abduct two of his daughters and force them into captivity after they tried to flee from his controlling grasp, according to a British court.

One of the women was subjected to inhumane treatment amounting to torture in the view of a British High Court judge, whose findings about the 70-year-old leader were unsealed in London on Thursday.

Sir Andrew McFarlane, the most senior family judge in England, published his findings as part of a case that was brought to protect two of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s younger children, who currently live in the U.K. Their mother is the daughter of Jordan's late King Hussein. The Dubai ruler failed in a bid at the Supreme Court to have the judgment kept secret.
The judge found that Sheikha Latifa was imprisoned after trying to escape Dubai in 2002 and 2018. In her most recent bid for freedom, she made it as far as the coast of India before special forces snatched her and her Finnish friend Tiina Jauhiainen.

In a carefully orchestrated plot, the pair had fled to the coast of the United Arab Emirates in disguise, boarded a dingy, ridden jet skis and then made it to a rendezvous with a yacht that took them out of the UAE’s territorial waters.

“The last time [I saw Latifa], she was kicking and screaming and she was dragged off the boat. Her pleas for asylum were ignored,” Jauhiainen told Reuters.

The British judge found in favour of Jauhiainen’s account of the abduction.
McFarlane said that Latifa was held in captivity “on the instructions of her father” for more than three years after her first escape attempt. He said her claims of serious physical abuse, amounting to torture, were credible. At the time of her apprehension, she said she would only be released if “I’m dead, or I'm in a very, very, very bad situation.”

“She was pleading for the soldiers to kill her rather than face the prospect of going back to her family in Dubai,” the judge said. “I conclude, on the balance of probability, that Latifa's account of her motives for wishing to leave Dubai represents the truth. She was plainly desperate to extricate herself from her family and prepared to undertake a dangerous mission in order to do so.”

The judge said Sheikha Shamsa had also fled from her overbearing father when they were staying on a property in South-East England in 2000. Agents of Sheikh Mohammed allegedly captured her outside Cambridge, injected her with a sedative and took her back to Dubai, where the judge said she “has been deprived of her liberty for much if not all of the past two decades.”

Cambridgeshire police tried to travel to Dubai to investigate the abduction at the time, but they were denied permission to enter the rich Arab emirate. Charles Geekie, a lawyer for the sheikh’s former wife, said the British government had intervened in the case.

The judge, who said the sheikh “continues to maintain a regime whereby both these two young women are deprived of their liberty,” also found that the ruler of Dubai conducted a “campaign of fear and intimidation” against his sixth wife, Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein.

Princess Haya, half sister of Jordan's King Abdullah, fled her husband at the start of 2019. She said she had been subjected to a “campaign of fear and intimidation” ever since and applied for a British court to protect their children from the kind of abuse to which Sheikh Mohammed had subjected his older children.

Geekie told the court that anonymous notes had been left in Princess Haya’s bedroom. One of them said: “We will take your son—your daughter is ours—your life is over."

On another occasion, a UAE helicopter pilot landed in the princess’s garden and told her he was there to take one passenger to Awir, which is the site of a prison in the desert.

Her former husband also condemned her in a poem posted on Instagram entitled: “You Lived and You Died.”

The judge concluded that he agreed with Geekie’s claim that these recent threats fit into a pattern of behavior that stretched back to the first abduction of one of his children in 2000. “[There are] a number of common themes, at the core of which is the use of the state and its apparatus to threaten, intimidate, mistreat and oppress with a total disregard for the rule of law.”

The case began after Princess Haya asked for her children with Sheikh Mohammed—Jalila, 12, and Zayed, 8—to become wards of the court and protected from being taken back to Dubai.

Princess Haya alleged that her husband had arranged for Jalila, who was 11 at the time, to be married to Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. The judge said he had not seen enough evidence to prove that that arrangement had been made.

The princess said she had been “terrified” of her ex-husband, who divorced her without her knowledge in February last year on the 20th anniversary of the death of her father, King Hussein of Jordan.

The judge said it was “clear the date will have been chosen... to maximize insult and upset to her.”

After the findings were made public, Sheikh Mohammed, who had refused to attend the hearings, said: “This case concerns highly personal and private matters relating to our children… As a head of government, I was not able to participate in the court's fact-finding process. This has resulted in the release of a 'fact-finding' judgment which inevitably only tells one side of the story.”
