BishopA71: Good Day All,
I recently lost my job and I have been considering stating this Uber/Bolt/Indrive/Rida business with my Corolla. I need some information. What do I need to register? Is the business still profitable? Any tips? Any groups I can join? I will appreciate any form of assistance pls. Thanks. As the owner-driver, it's more profitable, speaking from experience. Moreover, you have the better tool (1.8L tool), you're 100% good to go. Much respect, boss. |

pope191: Your money didn’t increase once your car picked. Whatever you were picked for will be there till it is cleared. I have already done my road worthiness. Went for inspection and was told to come back. Did that twice and got tired of going. The mad queue and everything. In ignorance we learnt. Now I know you can go to anywhere to inspect and it doesn’t have to be the particular center. That was how they give me that. How they book me for insurance is what I don’t know till that. I can fight it, but once you do and it doesn’t favour one, then the money can’t be reduced. Right now I can pay 20/30 out of the 40k and clear it. I’ll clear it sha. Boss, you mean person fit go do the inspection anywhere aside the centre on the paper? My person wey do my own go put Aguda Surulere branch, and me I hate going that area for any reason? Though I get till next month to do my RW inspection but shey I fit do am for another centre? Much respect, sir. |

U wey like to go Surulere, and yaba VIO always changing positions in that area. I hate begging or putting myself in a situation that someone will take advantage of me. na now I dey avoid VIO and Road safety because of Lasdri, Hackney permit and faded plate number. Normally, I don't fear them because I know everything is intact. Abeg, wetin dey push some drivers go dey do Hackney permit? I don't have it, and will never do it. Anytime I'm stopped, they ask if I be Uber driver and my response still remains NO. Btw, na where una dey jam VIO? I hardly see these people on the road. Na FRSC dey always stop me and I no dey waste time with them. Much respect, boss. |

I had fuel in the tank already, but I made a full tank purchase @24k at MRS station, alapere branch. That kind travel to&fro requires a full tank, boss. I even bought extra 10k fuel @750 per litre when I got to Osun, cos I cruised around small. Full tank in your big daddy would take you to & fro. Much respect, boss. |

pope191: Barely any life in Lagos. I’ve lived in Imo, Anambra and Delta. Job opportunity is one of the major problem in these areas. If you find something worth while doing, you’ll have some sense of sanity in life. Leave home 15 mins from where you’re going and you will still be on time. Close from work at 5 and by 5:30pm you’re already at your relaxing mood. Anxiety is far from you, access to fresh leaves and fruits.
Lagos is obviously the hub to make money and madness at the same time. No doubt, that man scattered Lagos, Fashola tried to make it comforter for occupants to some level, but Lagos boys no gree. The uncle there is kick and start. I doubt if he even have any idea of his. If housing and road network can be solved, Lagos will be a convenient place. Won’t tell no lie, the subsidy really ease traffic from Lagos road. Boss, wallahi. I hated Lagos the moment I stepped my foot on the soil of that Osun state. I've carried many riders who were just some visitors in the state from eastern part of the country and they always condemned Lagos in the area of sanity, traffic and organization. Apart form the business aspect, Lagos is a total crap and overhyped. If one wants to enjoy his/her old age, they should just relocate to the village and enjoy the rest of their lives. Fashola's effort was frutile because Lagos people were, and are not law abiding. Lagos is stressful, abeg. My target now is one of the eastern parts of the country. I need to visit one. Much respect, baba. |

I went to Osun state on Friday for an event, just got back home now. Omoh, we dey suffer for this our Lagos. Throughout my stay and cruise around in that state, there was nothing like hold up/gridlock, no agbero or owomida at every bus stop and garage. No stress. You can park anywhere and no stupid person go come harrass you. I parked at the hotel I was lodged and went out for local cruising, it was a total different experience. Keke napep and Okada can go anywhere without any single owomida, ticketing or marker guys. The only thing you see on the road na police who are peaceful. No touting. Just go about your cruise. Omoh, it felt like I was not in this country, cos I no believe say I can park my car anywhere without disturbance. Their Keke and Okada only take one ticket for the day and go anywhere you want to go. Omoh, Lagos na total crap. The old and ancient houses in Osun are very attractive to me oooh, cos everything was just peaceful and calm. Peaceful atmosphere. E come dey be like say make I migrate go Osun state. Same thing when I went to Oyo town. The peace you will enjoy in these villages can never be gotten in Lagos State. Lagos is overhyped joor. The only thing that I rate in Lagos is the business aspect. Lagos is overcrowded. No natures (trees and forests). No environmental calmness. Not organized. Just some overrated state we live in. Chai! I don miss this Osun state already. Much respect, bosses.

Barbiturate: Had a terrible experience today. Picked this idiot guy from university road to "Lord Jesus estate around chevron....11200. My first trip this morning, on indrive. When I got to the gate of his street, the flood was so much(picture attached) his house was just 2 houses away from the beginning of the gate. Pleaded with him that I can't enter cos the flood is kinda deep and my car is low. He insisted I must enter. The guys at the gate told me not to try to enter. They said all the cars parked outside the gate belongs to occupants of the estate. They park outside and use rain boot to enter. There was a guy giving out rain boots for 1k. This idiot said if he will give the guy the 1k for the boot, then he would deduct it from the 11200. I refused and told him he would give me my complete money.
We dragged it for almost 20 mins. He started calling his people. So I felt threatened. I decided to call the police via the app. Immediately he had me reporting to the police, his friend abi brother that drove out from the estate with a high jeep, started saying; "the person you dey call police for, him papa na oga nla of police.....na you dem go lock for cell"
After much dragging, the guys at the gate started telling him to pay me my complete money and forget.....that he's bigger than this. He eventually transferred my complete money, after wasting my time for 30 mins + Though, the estate street has a good flooring from the beginning to the end of the street, I think lack of free drainage is their challenge there. But you see these people we call riders ehn, some of them are inconsiderate and wicked. You see how your street is flooded and instead of you to use your senses and be considerate, wickedness won't allow you. Wetin dey come talk be say, shebi dem dey pay for the ride. Wicked lots. Sorry jare, baba. Much respect, sir. |

Pearl1910: Why u dey allow Civic boys whyne u. Everybody knows Civic 05 and Big for nothing are not in the same level. Big for nothing still big pass the senior brother of 05 Civic. That's why I decided to be 'civic' with them. Much respect, boss. |
