Yes, dem don resume that VGC road.
They're done with the other side of the road if you're coming from Ajah bridge (they are still working on the finishing).
Now, they've switched to the road if you're coming from ikota going to Ajah. Na the reason be that.

That Allen traffic lights. The light was blinking when I tried driving through. I was in between when it turned red. I mean, I have already passed but there was traffic just immediately after the traffic lights so I got stuck there when those animals came knocking on my window to wind down.

I told them that I've already passed now but they insisted that I should wind down. I just waited for the traffic in front to clear before I dawned the consequence and drove on top of the spike and went my way.

I would have only spent 4k to fix both tyres but for the fact that I had only one spare tyre.
You were just unlucky. It could be any vehicle.
However, those hungry and illiterate people calling themselves Lastma, na tiny chance dem dey always look for, even as per say dem see wetin happen.

When u see Rider was in a hurry and Lastma in the same story, u need not be told that the Driver was pushed into that fire.
From his narration, it looks different from what you said.
Everybody knows that Allen Junction traffic lights.
If a driver succumbs to passenger's haste and go violate traffic rules and eventually gets caught, he should just own up to it.
Him don learn him lesson be that.

All Uber prices are fixed. That's how I picked a rider on Uber at Ikeja and less than 10 minutes into the trip, Lastma bursted my two tyre with their spike.

I got to a place and stopped and the rider asked me to end the trip that they are in a hurry. I ended the trip and Uber asked the rider to pay 6800 for a trip that lasted 14 minutes, 3.8km. The trip was from Ikeja to VI and I ended it right there at Ikeja and Uber is asking the rider to pay the same amount they would have used to get to VI.

The rider just transferred 2k to me, booked another ride this time on Bolt and left. I made the rider to understand that the fixed price could work against the driver in a situation where there is serious traffic.

I reported to Uber and got my money back.
@the bold; you fit tell us what led to that?

Baba, how was the road from Ib to Oyo?
3hrs + few minutes trip.
Road was smooth all the way down to Ibadan, no traffic whatsoever.
But from IB to Oyo town, damn, if one is not careful, person fit lose his tyres. Annoying potholes everywhere. Some of the potholes fit swallow your car. Your brake has to be sharp mehn! Swerving to dodge potholes left and right. Some of the potholes can't be dodged, you will have to drive through them carefully.
Truck drivers were driving crazy.
And other drivers were driving crazy. On that road, accident can easily occur.
They are doing the lane from Ibadan to Oyo (going), so, it's the lane for people coming from Oyo that you will merge ontop and continue your journey from IB to Oyo. There's a link in the middle of the journey that you will leave the one-way and merge back to the proper lane going to Oyo.
Come see dungeons (aka potholes) everywhere. sad
Got stopped by FRSC, they checked everything and was intact. Didn't spend up to 3 minutes with them.
I had a bit of experience with those Micra ants. grin, Keke napep riders still dey learn work where these ones dey, and they are old men ooh. grin
After every-every of the party, we left there at 4:30pm and got to ketu @7:53pm when I checked my time. No traffic drive, except small go-slow at mowe.
Bought 20k fuel.
I don't think I can drive Ibadan to Oyo at night. To me, it's not safe. Might not be so with people who frequent the road.
Sorry, I didn't share yesterday. You can pick one now (dodo ikire). cheesy

Much respect, boss.

If y'all remember, I was making the point that it was just a matter of time, they can't withstand Uber/Bolt/indrive.
Where lagride now?
Some people were seeing lagride then as a threat to UBI (Uber, Bolt, Indrive), I was seeing them as a joker.
Where dem dey now? How many of their vehicles you dey see on road daily now?

Update .. ONE WAY ALERT on AKIOGUN ROAD

Skipped my mind for a while now.

Akiogun Road ( the road that lines the Maroko police station) is no longer a two way drive.

Please,if you are coming from Bosun Adekoya to link Akiogun Road, you must take your right and go and make a U turn in front of Banex plaza to turn unto the other side of Akiogun Road to continue your journey.

Please be guided.
This one don tey nahh.

It's a day's journey so not that bad though..20k fuel go run am and I don't expect you finish am.... Honestly, I don dey pity rider small small, my regular rider pay 15k to and fro (mainland-V.i) everyday, sometimes I wonder how dey cope..That's like 300k monthly excluding weekend parol for TP alone..And this is similar to many other regular rider...How much do they really earn? You'll be surprise that many do not even have 500k in their account! Nig (not this govt alone) dey deal with all of us.
Some would say they should be taking public transport to reduce transportation cost.
The people that might not see this as a problem are runs girls (who are majorly the ones moving mostly), and self-made individuals.
Salary earners go feel am for body at the end of the month, except the ones who do runs.
It is well.

I won’t outrightly tag it as being wicked. Oil business is not just a regular market, but each to himself. I may buy from NNPc at 568 and sell to another person 588 because I don’t want to go thro the stress of trucking. That person too will add is own. Las las after landing the buyer will add his profit. Price depends on source.

That rate is poor bro. That's about 6.5 hours cumulative journey not adding the waiting time and your gross is 60k not net.

60k is very small baba, except you billed them on a paddy paddy level. I hope the road from ib to oyo is good?
Safe journey! Buy waara oyo on your way back make boys see something hold body.
Yeah, these people are my mum's market partners, and I sabi dem well.
Na my mumsy self brought the deal to me.
I'm being taken as part of them as party guests, so the whole thing looks like we're all going for the event.
Shey you get?
That's why we resorted to that amount.
My concern na the road from IB to Oyo (as konko noted), but they say it isn't that bad.
Na the road be the adventure I don't know yet, but we go run am sha. (15k fuel go run am).
