Canadian schools even univeristy only focus on your cover letter and qualification documents. Most Canadian school also requires WES as means of verification which most College in Canada don't. [s] They believe the task is left for IRCC because its a shared document which they believe you must apply with at their consulate.
If IRCC want to do there job as per background check, all federal and state uni in Nigeria that is most popular, like Unilag, Uniben, Uniport, UniMed, UniAbJ, and likes gets verified through their tertiary system robot verification.
It works with the knowledge of the school authorities and auditorium.
Why do you think schools in Canada when filling their portal and you are asked your university abroad your school will pop up automatically. And if your school is not in the system it will ask you to select (OTHER). These folks are wizards . [/s]

But I have students whom I have brought in and helped settle with monthly bills hovering below 1500.

6. Health insurance $1400 every year.
7. Haircut $32/month
8. Miscellaneous = $100-$200 /month.

Tuition is by far my biggest expense, followed by rent then groceries.
As per income I earn roughly $2000 per month.
I hope this helps prepare you for the journey ahead.

1. Rent at 865 monthly is too high. You can find shared apartment for $600 all inclusive. This will also depend on the location.
2. Most schools have transportation included in the school fees
3. There is freedom mobile phone bill at $20 per month. That’s what I do for all the new people who arrive at my place
4. You are right on groceries
6. Some schools add health insurance in the fees but you can wave it off and get your money back.
7. Get a clipper for $20 and barb yourself.

If you are deferring from January to April, you do not need to inform IRCC

It's a hard task for a sibling to sponsor another, what is your sibling responsibility on her side. Its better to have the funds transferred to your account and write a letter of explanation the purpose of the funding. If it's lending, or gift. If lending how do you wish to pay back in that case you have to present your pay-slip and salary account for citing. on the other hand if its gift, you need to get affidavit of gift deed, affidavit of sponsorship from your sibling and also your sibling place of work, account and introduction letter from sibling company.

Best to not make sporadic transfers. I’ve sponsored 4 siblings already without issues.

There’s nothing wrong with a sibling sponsor if you can prove source of funds and relationship.

Black market rate is always higher than official rate. So using black market rate to calculate POF is actually a plus and not “shooting yourself in the foot”

You cant use black market rate for an application. You would be shooting yourself in the foot

Hi guys,

I feel so helpless right now. I applied for Study Visa using an agent. I did my biometrics March 17, 2023 and till this very moment I do not know the status of my application. Agent said application is under processing, meanwhile I requested for IRCC login credentials which he refused to give me, so I gave him instructions to login and send me the screenshot of the dashboard and he said there was an upgrade on the portal that he could not login, immediately I called 2 of of my friends to login into their portal to verify his statement. They both provided me with the screenshots of their dashboard. Now agent is saying that he’s going to provide screenshots in 4 days time. Something did not add up and leaves me wondering the type of application he did maybe he applied via mail, obviously not online application.

I have the UCI number, I don’t know if it is possible for me to check the status of my application using the UCI number and if it is possible for me to create a different portal and start afresh?

You'd have to carry your cross as we mostly promote DIY here.

Should you choose to apply again, make sure the information such as job, salary, activities, age, marital status etc. on the first application align with the new application else you would be joking with misrepresentation and a possible ban.

Study visa will not require return tickets.

For the child on VV, don’t buy the ticket until the morning of departure. I used a $CAD credit card.

I bought it this morning because all airlines allow you to cancel any flight you buy within 24 hours of purchase.

As soon as they let them through, I cancelled it.

In my case the VV was 1 year old, so I bought an adult ticket and added her as infant.

I suggest you buy a refundable ticket for the return leg. And it is only applicable to the VV holder.

People that travelled with kids on visit visa. Did you need to purchase a round trip ticket for the kids?

Please house this is urgent, i am having some issues paying my tuition fee. So I transferred the naira equivalent to a friend in Canada. But the guy is some how confuse on how to complete the payment.
He said if he pays through 'bill payment option' that his details will be what will show on the payment receipt but not my detail, and he doesn't want that to happen cos this might be a problem between me and the school knowing fully well that my name or details are not in the payment receipt.
Please what's the best way for him to transfer the money to the school, without causing any issues

Bill payment will show your information if he puts in your student number as the account number. He should proceed with the payment

I’ve never notarized anything. Not even during the student application.

A visa that will be denied will not be overturned because a document was notarized.

On the other hand, I think it may be affective if a non family member/non relative is acting as sponsor.

PPR just dropped for my brother and 2 kids. Wife arrived July for study that started August.

Nothing extraordinary with the application.

POF was $20k Canadian bank draft issued a day before application was submitted. Nothing was notarized.

Application submitted August 16th. Biometrics Sept 1.
