@scobby2007,
Congratulations on your wife’s visa. Please do you know how feasible it is commuting from Bristol to London for work daily? Any pointers to affordable and safe areas for accommodation? Also did Uwe give your wife any discount on the school fees?
@Justwise et al, kindly contribute as well.
Thanks for your response. |

hosey: For Sheffield Hallam, all Nigerians automatically get 2000 pounds vice chancellor scholarship. You can further get Transform scholarship which halfs your tuition fee if you had 2.1 or first class but it is not automatic. WAEC is accepted. Hello Hosey, do you know of any uni in London that gives scholarship to Nigerian students? |

[quote author=mimilyrics post=93459678]1. If you can justify your need for a 2nd masters, you're good. But it normally shouldn't be an issue since your previous study wasn't in the UK and if you're able to link it to the ability to move up to management positions in STEM, it sort of ties in with your professional aims which also ties in with the reason for choosing your course.
2. If the loan meets all the T4 requirements, you stand a high chance of getting your visa. I know that Prodigy has been used successfully in the past so it shouldn't be a problem but ensure to check if prodigy is available for your school though. Note that you might be asked questions around your current earnings vis-a-vis the loan repayment during your interview.
3. This largely depends on your skills, how well you sell yourself to employers and how early you start your search.
4. True. Except as a doctor or dentist in training. [/quote
Hi Mimilyrics, what visa would a dentist in training apply for? If the person originally came in as a Tier 4 dependent.

LagosismyHome: The IHS fee is sufficient to cover everything for student or dependents .............However if the student decided to add stuff like private room after delivery then that will be billed separately as it for everybody . And Yes the student should make sure she utilizes the NHS sufficiently to the max , afterall she has paid IHS fee Lol...thanks a lot. |

Skymoore1004: No employer will give you COS when you still have 2 years valid visa. That’s a waste of their money, except the visa is limited to 20 hours like study visa.
Being realistic sef you will need that 2 years because getting a job is not as easy as it use to be if you’re not in the health field. CONVID19 don already cause high level of unemployment & company close downs. Job market is going to be very competitive & Las las they will always take their people over you & every business now is trying to save money than spend on sponsorship requirements. Ok. Seems clearer now. Thanks. |

Peave82: When you get a job during the post study at the expiration your next application will be a Tier 2 visa type. you need to confirm from your workplace if they have a sponsorship licence and are willing to sponsor you as not all businesses are eligible.Im not sure links are allowed on this forum ild have sent you a gov.uk page to read up. To answer directly NO your visa does not change immediately. Wow! But those who got jobs with sponsorship after studies(before psw) changed from tier 4to tier 2 immediately. So why can’t psw change to tier 2 before its expiration? |

Skymoore1004: No your employer will sponsor you first by giving you a COS, then you will apply for tier 2 Ok, so I get tier 2 regardless even if I haven’t used up the 2years psw? |
Travel › Re: How Did You Obtain Your Permanent Residency In Your Current Country? by Gloriouscrown: 10:48am On Apr 22, 2020 |
Peave82: -First off all when you start your masters try to take on roles such as student union, class rep etc as being a known face you are more likely to get your lecturers as references. -Attend campus career days as these are where companies come to university to talk about themselves and jobs they offer. There is also a career adviser on every campus and you can book an appointment with them.
-There are also student jobs paid jobs but your hours are restricted by law as you need to study and also voluntary/unpaid jobs with charities, these count as work experience so when the companies come you are more likely to land a position as you’re cv would be “interesting”.
-Some companies have license to sponsor your visa and others cannot so research these companies that come to your campus. -Remember after school you don’t qualify for an Iltr till 5 years so your next visa would be post study. (light thrown enough for you?.)....Hope this helps. Hello, what if someone gets a job during the two years psw, would the visa change to tier 2 immediately? |

STENON: not advisable except you have older siblings and housemaid here.
Btw... why do you both want to study full time at a time ? I will advice the wife to study full time so as to care for the toddler while the husband apply as tier 4 dependant to be able to work full time and if possible night shift for him to be able to take care of the toddler while the wife is away to school or work during the day Thanks for your response. |
