TundeChris: Visa Alert!!! Visa Alert!!!
I give glory to God for this. It has been a long wait. I felt my application was not too strong, but God came through. Been refused once about 13 years ago but there was no mail from them concerning it (Also traveled a couple of times after that without any type of extensions). So to help someone else as it's the culture here;
DOCS UPLOADED
Passport Photopage (And actual passport during biometrics, of course) Statement of Account (I did 29 days). BSc Certificate Transcript WAEC (Photocopy, meaning I had only a black and white copy). CV (Complete resume since I left Uni almost a decade ago). Reference Letter from my company. * I forgot to submit my CAS, but it's advisable to submit your CAS because its an academic sponsor evidence. Some say the CAS number suffices - indeed it does, but it's better to have more pieces of evidence than less, I guess.
TIMELINE Visa Application – Nov 19th (Priority)
Biometrics – Nov 23rd
Application moved to VAC – Nov 30th
Collection Mail – Dec 03
Passport received – Dec 03
I thank God for this, I also thank @scobyy2007. He encouraged me to go ahead and apply in spite of some of the fears I had. God bless you all here, and may we all have more to celebrate. Wish you all the best. Congrats |

Abeeolah: Thank you so much for your responding. All though they said they are working on I should get a response in days, I applied for Masters of Public health. Please I wouldn’t mind your email address, if I have any more questions I would just mail you directly. Thank you. Please when did you submit your application. Hi, I also applied to Oxford Brookes for the same course, although I wouldn't be going to the school anymore. I just got a conditional offer from them yesterday. They probably just started giving out admissions in that particular course. |

Peculiar123456: Please going by the response u got from petdaugther's dependent application, do I really need to provide a sponsorship letter or is it a matter of choice? And as regards the proof of employment, was it UKVI that requested for it or they just did that in addition to the supporting documents. Hi, I'm also just hearing about the sponsorship letter that's why I asked to confirm. I guess its down to personal choice especially if the main applicant is sponsoring him/herself. Also I believe if you have long study gap say above 5 years you should include valid proof of what you have been doing since then. Hence the submission of detailed CV, employment records, relevant certifications and the likes. HTH. |

Babygal4eva: I've lost my vaccination card once so far and my health center did another one for me in the spot(they were reluctant and wanted to reject doing another one but I pleaded with them. Everything is stored in their DB so it's just a matter of reissuing it. What's the point of a barcode then if it can't be reissued that's just silly. Grease some palms and you'll get it reissued. I've even lost the new one a second time and will laslas still go and ask for another one. Ok thanks so much. |

TheLasyBuddha: I have a degree in social work and I hope to work in the health and social care profession. Do you think I could get this? Although, I could register to practice as a social worker but I was told it's easy to get a job in adult social care faster than social work.
Enlighten me. Hi, if you can, watch intentional favour on YouTube. She is a masters student in social work in the UK. You should be able to pick up some pointers from her videos. Cheers. |

Hello House, please I would like to know if its possible to take the first dose of covid 19 vaccine in Nigeria and take the second dose in the UK? Will I need the vaccination card from Nigeria as a proof? What if the card is missing will I have to take the vaccine all over again? I lost my covid19 vaccination card and I was told by the phc here in Lagos that I should provide police report and affidavit. I was also told that its NOT GUARANTEED that I would be issued another card because of the barcode. I just want to know if I can come and continue with the vaccination when I arrive in the UK. P.S the date of my vaccination is today and I discovered it was missing yesterday.
Thanks everyone. Sorry for the long post. |

From day 1, I had followed this thread and gathered information where necessary. And every step of the way, I knew what to do. I will advise people, no matter how hard it is to keep up with this thread, try to. You will learn a great deal. We all can make excuses of not having time. I can argue that I'm the busiest person in the world. But if I have to wake in the night to learn something from this thread by reading every comment, I will. I actually did and I can almost answer most questions here from the answers I got here myself.
Let me encourage you to read. Read page 1 and go back to posts from October 1. By the time you get to October 20, you will almost understand most of the processes involved in this endeavor. If it's important, you will create time. And please it's easy to make mistakes with the visa application. Vet the details like 20 times before you proceed to ihs page. My 5 cents.
I pray to God to ease our affairs and may our desires come through. Congratulations |

God has said that the rest of the year is the best of the year for me! It has been a tumultuous journey but I dare say that God has been ever faithful. I bless Him for giving me the strength and the will to hold on, take crazy steps of faith, and now and I’m here. Phil. 1:6 & Eph. 3:20 & daily thanksgiving has been my routine since Oct 1st.

I will never forget when I received the last refusal on the 10th of August. I was devastated, depressed, and pressed down. It seemed over for me at the time but God said He was just getting started with me. A number of friends I’d made during my biometrics in July at the time traveled to the UK and this made me sadder because I felt left behind. Few of them stood with me and kept monitoring my progress, just to ensure that I didn’t give up and I am glad I didn’t. I dare say that GOD CAME THROUGH FOR ME!
University of Strathclyde, Glasgow here I come in Jesus name (Amen)!!! Wow..I remember your story. Congratulations! God will perfect what concerns you in Jesus name amen. |

UWE Bristol January 2022
N.B: I have a study gap of 10 years, so I submitted a detailed CV and my personal company registration certificate.
I had a visa refusal in 2008. The reason was that one of the doc the agent used for me was fake. which ultimately carries a 10 year ban. I wasn't sure if I was effectively on a ten year ban or not but had to wait for more than 10 years b4 applying to UK again.
Doc Submitted: Academic: (O'level Cert., BSc Cert., Transcript, UWE CAS) Family: (Marriage Cert., Children Birth Cert. & Family Pictures). POF: ( 2 Banks savings account & 1 MFB certificate of Investment). OThers : (TB test Result, Previous visas, CV, CAC).
Still looking forward to my dependants pick up mails. They submitted a week after me due to non availability of appointment date. I wish everyone best of luck... Congratulations to you and your family. |
