Just wondering if baking powder can be used. And any tips for making it so so so much soft. Like very soft.

I have not used baking powder for puff puff before but I think it's worth a try.

For extra soft, make the batter watery than normal and stir till it's stretchy. It has to eaten when it's hot, otherwise it cakes up.

I gave it a try personally,

this really works o guys.

If you are a guy and are worried that Barbers have shaved your hair inside, then give it a try!

Some remedies I came across only makes hair full in the places where you already have hair, but this one makes hair starts growing on your hair edges, especially those sides the barbers have finished off.

It works!

Wow! Thank you for the feedback.
It sure made my day.

It is with joy in my heart and a gladdened spirit,I wish to inform esteemed family section members that I am now a father of a bouncing boy given birth to buy my wife in the early hours of this morning smiley

We had tried for so long to have a baby, there were doubts creeping in from friends and family alike but our faith in God never wavered. It wasn't easy.My wife was having birth complications as the doctor said her pelvic region wasn't opening up enough to birth a child and that the baby was rightly positioned.Fear gripped me cheesy but I had to be a man and offer encouragement to my wife because she was already asking me if she dies while giving birth, will I marry another wife? cheesy cheesy Those complications took a lot of strength from her and finance from me and she spent some days in the hospital before she finally gave birth in the wee hours of this morning to the glory of God.Mother and baby in good health.

Thank you lord for your mercies.

Congratulations to you sir!

Thanks dear for this suggestion.

The chicken was cooked (not fried) in the boiling spice mix and i observed Ugu seem to have been added. But i will try out your suggestion.

Thanks

You can boil if it's hard chicken, with soft chicken it cooks faster so no need to boil before hand. Try little Utazi in place of Ugu and observe the difference.

Though if you like more vegetables you can add Ugu and a little Utazi.

Very educative.
Please i would like you to share the recipe for Point and Kill vegetable chicken. It is not peppersoup and not really a sauce.

It is one delicacy i wish to know how to cook using local spices and selecting the right vegetables.
@pocohontas

Wow, point and kill vegetable chicken. I could already imagine it now.

Ok, first it has to be freshly killed chicken preferably soft chicken.

Season and marinate in the fridge for about an hour.
In your pot add in little palm oil as you want it local.

Add in fresh pepper, onions, crayfish, ehuru all ground together and fry for about 5 minutes.

Add in the well marinated soft chicken, fry on both sides for 10 minutes each.

To finish up add in ugba (ukpaka) and utazi leaves.
Taste for seasoning and salt and know if you need to adjust any.

Your point and kill chicken vegetable with local spices is ready.
Serve and enjoy.

@pocahontas, please any more insights?

Nice to have you back gloryhomemaker. My rice would begin to burn immediately I turn it. My neighbor said my pot is too light. How true is that??

A light pot could also contribute. Another way around it is to add everything you want into the pot with the right quantity of water to cook it till its soft. Stir and cover the pot, cook on medium heat and don't stir again till the water is dried. Then you stir and take off the heat. The burning will be minimized.

Hey, welcum back. Our stargirl
Pls wat is shombo and iru?

Shombo is that long pepper, its not as peppery. It adds colour to food too.

Iru is a Yoruba version of Igbo Dawawa. It's in seeds and good for local delicacies.

Thank you as always.

ÀesoeMe! Let me see if I can create chance to grind it.

On a more curious note, should the cloves be kept in a dark place for the 7 days or where there's light.

What's actually the science behind it

I keep the cloves in my kitchen cabinet. Never heard of the dark or light analogy.

This cook with me video is a step by step guide on how to cook Nigeria local rice also known as concoction rice or native rice.

The ingredients for this local African delicacy is always minimal but when well prepared the taste is amazing that you will keep asking for more.

This version of Sapa concoction rice is worth a try and enjoying!

Ingredients:
Rice
Palm oil
Iru
Shombo
Pepper
Onions
Crayfish
Fish (optional)
Scent leaf
Seasoning
Salt

Thanks.

I've watched the video. So easy to understand.

Hope I'm not asking too much, please know men don't have long hair like women. Anything liquid apllied to a man's hair usually drip off because the hair isn't thick enough to hold liquid. This is why men mostly use hair cream.

Please can hair cream be made out of this? If you can make a video about it, I'll really appreciate

I understand very well.
For men I advise you grind cloves into powder. Sieve out the bigger particles and mix the thinner particles to your hair cream, and apply on your hair daily.

Thanks.

Please can I use ginger powder

And clove powder?

I yes, how do I go about it.

I would prefer you use fresh ginger and cloves and blend it yourself to be sure of the products.

All the details are in the video.

Please what else or how else can I blend them?

No electric blender

You can pound it in a clean morta. Add water and sieve it out.
Food / Re: How To Make Black Soup, A Healthy Nigerian Soup (Photos, Video) by gloryhomemaker(f): 5:54pm On Aug 12, 2023
GreatKingg:
what if I can't get banga extract, any other alternatives?

Also, what if I can't get fresh uziza leaves but just the dried one?

Lastly, what if I can't get scent leaf?

It's basically done with banga extract from the original owners of the soup for that distinct banga flavour in the soup. I believe you can alternate with palm oil if you can't get fresh banga or the canned ones. The canned one has lots of sand so be careful if you will use them.

Fresh vegetables would be the best but again you make use of what you've got.
I hope this helps.
