To me, a guy should pay for the first date regardless who asked who out. During the course of dating, a lady can help pick up the tab every once in a while - or atleast help with the tip. |

babe1:@babe1 It is possible to miss something about your ex-lover. For instance, if you are a guy and you had a carribean girlfriend who used to cook your favourite curry shrimp, but you had to leave her because she is physically abusive (and you don't want to hit a woman); you have a new girlfriend now that you are happy with, but does not make the curry shrimp like your ex (or can't cook period). >>You miss your ex because of the spicy curry shrimp she used to make, but at the sametime, don't want to be with her<< Get my point ![]() |
@Radiant I know it'll be difficult to trust a man again, but you have to have faith. Mr right will come your way and exceed your expectations. |
@Odeku Ooooooo K, they are routing for IBB for their selfish reasons. Thanks for pointing this out. At first, I thought may be I was losing my mind, wondering why on God's earth anyone will support IBB. Glad to see I'm very sane afterall. IBB will never rule Nigeria again. We have regressed enough - It's now time to progress. |
Nsha Allah, IBB will never rule Nigeria again |
@Ndipe Excellent point on the value of interning in America. I always advise people to go that route before they graduate and stop chasing after short term money from so so jobs. |
@Hugboi I disagree with you. All nigerian men are not corrupt minded. |

Coolsimon has not posted anything since the beginning of the thread. I'm not sure he really needs a sugar mummy afterall. |
Todd, please elaborate further. There are lots of reasons why Benin is not like Nigeria, but you have to be more specific with your question to get a precise response. |
Initially its the physical attraction - I like women with nice eyes. Beyond attraction, her intelligence and character. I also love women that are understanding. |
@Maat Women other than Nigerian are not dirty women and just because you saw a nigerian man with a "dirty" american woman does not mean that all american women are dirty. I am sorry to say this, but you are being narrow minded. If this is how you feel about women that are not Nigerian, GOOD LUCK TO YOU. I am leaving this thread to find something more productive to do. again, GOOD LUCK TO YOU |
Matt What does dating nasty women have to do with what we are talking about? Your response really puzzles me. Or are you misinterpreting what I wrote? You said there are beautiful men going after nasty women - Where is this coming from? I am really puzzled @zebudaya, do you know what he is talking about? Because I really don't. |
Graduates of private universities will have the same chances as their public counterparts. From reports I am hearing, many private schools are better equipped than public schools, so I feel the products of the private schools should be of high quality. |
@Maat The reason (for instance) a Nigerian can be attracted to any woman could be her physical appearance. I am a Nigerian man and I find the ff ladies (for instance) attractive: Eva Longoria (Latino) Patra (Jamaican) Denise Richards (white) Genevieve Nnaji (nigerian) Sanaa Lathan (black american) So you see, a nigerian man can find a woman attractive regardless of her nationality (not all men of course) |
Nigerian men are attracted to caribbean women for the same reason any man is attracted to a woman. We don't necessarily single out caribbean women. A Nigerian man can be attracted to a woman of any nationality. |
What is it about IBB that people keep clamoring over him? His record is there for everyone to see. Some people have posted that someone of his stature is needed to rule Nigeria, because he is an ex-general. I do not believe this for a minute. Shagari ruled Nigeria and never served in the military. His government was toppled not because he was weak, but because of the power hungry generals in the barracks. If IBB is elected, he will put people in positions as an appreciation of a favor. He will not put able minded technocrats there. Besides, IBB is yet to account for the Billions of dollars during the 1991 Gulf War Oil windfall, yet people are saying we should vote for him. Who said Duke is not experienced enough to be president? He definately is. The only thing is the soldiers have to learn how to respect civilian authority. If they do, then we will reach political maturity in Nigeria. |
I agree with those that stated that it really doesn't matter where the candidate comes from, but the person's ability to deliver. Unfortunately, Nigeria is so divided among ethnic lines (this is not my opinion) that the political class use this zoning issue to make their argument. Having said this, I think either the South South or South East should produce the next president. |
If Northerners and Southerners have shots at the presidency, then I don't think any tribe in Nigeria can be ruled out from the top position. I believe at some point someone from the South South will rule Nigeria, just as the S. West and S. East have. |
Thanks. No, i didn't take them personally. |
@alpacaem Very rightly said. I definately agree with you. But before we go on forgiving, we must make sure that the cause of the problem is looked into and addressed. Sometimes, a second offence can be so bad that you can't recover from it. For instance, men that end up crippling/disabling their wives after beating them repeatedly. |

@hola Thanks so much for sharing your knowldge. It is highly appreciated |
Congratulations! |
Alright Christel, I see you are really upset now. I just noticed that you posted quite a few topics in the Romance section, so I jokingly asked if you were trying to set a record. But you are right, i do enjoy your company (just kidding). |
