ELECTRICITY BILLING ADVICE TO ALL NIGERIANS

It is no longer news that electricity tariff has been increased from #66 to #225 per kilowatt.

This simply means that, if you enjoy 24hrs power uninterrupted, you will have to pay 24×225=5400 per day.
In a month, it is #162,000 and #1,944,000 per annum.

Let's assume you enjoy light at 5hrs per day on average, that will be 5×225=1,125
Monthly, you pay #33,750
And annually, you pay 405,000.

Now note that a kilowatt of electricity is equivalent to 1,000watts.
That is the strength of an iron and less than the strength of an electric cooker.

Indeed it is a trying time for us and our faith in Christ.

My special advice:
1) if you can afford it, install solar device.
2) if you can't, manage your electricity by:
a) buying inverter electronics (they consume less electricity)
b) replace all bulbs in your house with low energy saving bulbs (especially the led type)
c) never leave lights in rooms where they're not in use. Off all lights when not in use. Develope that culture.

d) ensure you turn off all other gadgets when you're pumping water, ironing cloths and or cooking with the electric stove or even ovens.

e) get rechargeable lanterns to support when it's not too necessary to use electricity.

As we navigate this trying time, let us keep praying and coming closer to our Lord.
Our only consolation can only be found in him.

No.

Your first opinion is very valid.
However, I do not agree with you on the 2nd and 3rd points.
The sabotage against the goats by the north, specifically, have existed because those in power have never done the right things.

These guys they use to brood insecurity are so naive that they can't produce their own technology.
Obi knows how to make it incondusive for them.

As for those playing anti-Igbo, by the time they have compared their lives now that Obi is in power with when they had their brothers, they'd be forced to tell themselves the truth.
Even if Obi had won, he'd still face those challenges.
And that's where regional govts come to play.

With regionalised govt, and running a bi-cameral legislator system, alot would have changed.

Three Reasons Why I Will Advise Peter Obi Not To Run In 2027

I have known Peter Obi a long time, his village is just a stone's throw from mine. As a successful international businessman and billionaire, he returned from the UK in 2002 to aspire to be Governor of Anambra, which he did after a lengthy legal battle. 2. Even if Peter Obi manages to navigate the treacherous waters of Nigerian politics and wins, his troubles will just be starting. Obi does not know the Nigeria he wants to be President of, he does not know that 'one Nigeria' does not exist, and that some people will always see him as nothing more than an Igbo man and Christian. Those people are going to going to use propaganda, deciet, lies, insecurity etc to sabotage his regime from day one. No matter how well intentioned Obi might be, every move he makes will be turned into an ethnic, religious or ideological issue. Those who cannot bear an Igbo man being President will come after his regime like a hurricane. The result is that Obi will spend 4 years there fighting, if he is not thrown out before then, and achieve nothing.

3. Obi once said that Nigeria is like a car with a knocked engine, he was right. No matter how good a driver may be, he won't get far in a car with a knocked engine. Has Obi ever heard of a 'good Nigerian President'? No such thing has ever existed, or will ever exist. The driver is only as good as the engine of the car. No Nigerian President can do well. We are too divided along ethnic, religious and ideological lines to build a progressive nation. Everyone only talks about who will be the driver, few care about the engine, yet expect the car to take them to heaven. Who is fooling who? My advice to Obi is to forget this cursed office of President and focus on his philanthropy. Obi will touch more lives and help more people this way. Until a time when people start taking the engine far more seriously than they take who will be the driver, the office of President will destroy whoever goes in there, and Obi should stay away from it.

And I wish to talk about electricity safety.

Let's talk about Distribution boards:

I have noticed that most users are willing to buy original, but, most electricians lack the knowledge on how to find out original DBs (Distribution boards). I am here to guide you.

Some say as long as it is white stabluc, it is original.
Sometimes, for the fear of losing the job, they write cheaper articles so the client can consider their own quotations and thereby hiring them.

The main function of a Distribution boards is to:

A) Allow changes of flow
B) Complete or break a circuit
C) Make the bulb glow easily
D) Prevent electric shocks.

However, alot of these DBs in the mkt lack these qualities.
While some of these functions are not easily detectable, others, you need to fix the board and use it for awhile to be able to verify those other functions.

Also, I noticed that those that do handwork usually look for materials that will be easy for them to apply and not necessarily considering durability and beauty.
Any DB who's switch or stabluc cannot trip off at any shock is not a good one.

When buying, apart from looking out for those that has the ability to break or trip, also check the guage of the panel. The panel is what absorbs the current and allow it pass.
If the panel is light guage, less than 2mm, it may not be able to stand the pressure if the house is loaded, after some time or years.
Also, the guage MUST BE COPPER, not copper colour.
Also, you will need to look out for DBs with trippable fuses. Unfortunately I tried to upload some pictures,but it's not uploading.

Finally, it must not be one that's generally known. Most DBs that are generally known are unnecessarily expensive.
But, if you can afford it, pls buy them.
Good articles are not cheap.
Cheap articles are not cheap.

My friend took my car, 2004 Toyota Camry to Enugu and it did overheat to the extent that the engine knocked.
