Married Men And Marital Issues Are like 5&6.

Every day, one Married Man will bring his Marital Issue to Nairaland. I just tire. When you were marrying and making babies, did u tell ushuh

Everybody has their own issues to deal with but we are matured not to come here and burden others. Since you all "Married Men" want to be bringing your issues here, here is mine below.

Well my own issue is that rain keeps falling in Lagos and it creates flood on my street making it difficult to go to work. Sometimes I can't even leave my house due to water everywhere. I just tired. As I speak, rain is failing. I wish I knew how to swim? But to swim in a mud dirty waterhuh Hell NO!!!

2) I did Modification of Name on my NIN in the 28th of October yet till now 16th of November, it's still the same old stories of "come back next week". I am tired. I have lost a lot of opportunities due to this unnecessary delay.

3) My father died when I was 13 yrs old. Let me end that there before I begin to shed tears while remembering how hard life has been.

4) I finished school, graduated with a Second Class Lower (2.2) but guess what, I couldn't secure a job.
Now I'm planning on going back to school and starting afresh in a whole different field. Imagine the Emotional Traumahuh
And nobody should start me with "Go for Masters now". Thunder fire Masters.

5) An doing business. I sell things online but it's not moving like it should. It's just God that is helping me.

Should I continuehuh
Sometimes it's good to let out the anger inside you instead of holding it all by yourself, it's better to talk about your problem and ask people for advice than resorting to domestic violence.

So your comment is childish to me

It is now a habit to say "rising tensions" between China and US in any news.
These two biggest world economies have become rivals, China is still a regional power trying to expand its influence in Indo-Pacific region and beyond, America clearly doesn't want that to happen.

The upsurge in Crime and criminality in Nigeria today is really worrisome, who do we blame for this ugly situation?

I know so many Nigerians are facing existential crisis now, trying to subsist, but engaging in criminality is not an excuse.

President Joe Biden met virtually with Chinese President Xi Jinping Monday night, in a conversation that the White House said did not result in any breakthroughs in the U.S.-China relationship but took a step towards managing a relationship that has been increasingly defined by hostility.

In a statement following the meeting, the White House said that Biden raised concerns over Beijing's crackdown on Hong Kong's democracy movement, China's abuse of Muslim Uyghurs in Xinjiang, as well as human rights more broadly.

The two leaders also discussed Taiwan at length. The White House said that Biden underscored the U.S. commitment to the "one China" policy but was direct about his concerns that Beijing's actions towards the self-ruling democracy were increasingly at odds with the status quo.

According to Chinese state media, Xi warned Biden that the U.S. was "playing with fire" on Taiwan and that while Beijing sought peaceful "reunification" with the island, it was prepared to take "resolute measures" against Taiwan independence.

In a call with reporters, a senior administration official described the meeting as "respectful," "straight-forward" and "open."

"The meeting itself was really about the two leaders discussing ways to manage the competition between the United States and China responsibly and ways to establish guardrails for that competition," the official said. "That was a theme throughout the conversation."

The Global Times, a state-backed Chinese tabloid, said the meeting "injected certainty" into the U.S.-China relationship and showed that while the two countries cannot avoid competition, there are also many areas for cooperation.

Biden had spoken with Xi over the phone twice since taking office, but Monday marked the first time the two leaders met in a more formal setting. The White House had hoped to hold the meeting in person, but Xi has not left China since January 2020, when the coronavirus first began to spread.

"Meeting virtually is not quite the same as meeting in person, but it certainly was very different than just a phone call," the senior Biden administration official said. "The two leaders really did have a substantial back and forth and an ability to interact with one another."

The U.S.-China relationship has grown increasingly tense over the past several years. The two countries launched into a trade war under the Trump administration and Biden took a tough stance on China during his campaign for president, calling Xi a "thug." The Chinese leader has repeatedly celebrated what he argues is America's waning power, saying "the East is rising and the West is declining."

Biden and Xi, who spoke to each other Monday through interpreters, shared conciliatory words as they sat down for their three-and-a-half-hour video conference.

Biden, Xi find no breakthroughs at lengthy virtual summit
"It seems to me our responsibility as leaders of China and the United States is to ensure that the competition between our countries does not veer into conflict, whether intended or unintended," Biden said in opening remarks, seated at a table in the Roosevelt Room.

Xi called Biden an "old friend" — the two leaders traveled together when they were both vice presidents of their respective nations — and said their countries need to "increase communication and cooperation."

"China and the United States should respect each other, coexist in peace and pursue win-win cooperation," Xi said from a room in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

Biden administration officials had downplayed expectations ahead of the meeting, telling reporters that the meeting was intended to open communication channels between the two leaders rather than produce any deliverables or specific outcomes.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said earlier Monday that Biden felt he was walking into the meeting from a "position of strength" following his trip abroad last month to the Group of 20 summit in Rome and the U.N. climate conference in Scotland — neither of which Xi attended in person. Psaki said that the passage of the infrastructure bill, which Biden signed into law Monday afternoon, also strengthened the president's position.

"This infrastructure bill is essential and important for many reasons, but one of which is: For the first time in 20 years, we will be investing more in infrastructure than China," Psaki said.

In the call with reporters, the senior administration official said Biden pressed Xi to follow through on the "phase one" trade deal that China struck with the Trump administration. Biden also brought up the coronavirus pandemic and communicated the "important role that transparency plays" in addressing global health, the official said.

Xinhua, China's state-run news agency, said Xi told Biden that economic and trade relations between the U.S. and China were "mutually beneficial in nature" and should not be politicized. He said the U.S. "should stop abusing or overstretching the concept of national security to suppress Chinese businesses," in an apparent reference to restrictions imposed by the U.S. government on Chinese technology companies like Huawei.

The relationship between Beijing and Washington had a difficult start under the Biden administration after top diplomats from the U.S. and China had a public blowup in front of reporters during a meeting in Alaska in March. Secretary of State Antony Blinken criticized Beijing over its increasing authoritarianism, while Chinese Communist Party foreign affairs chief Yang Jiechi accused Washington of hypocrisy on human rights.

Blinken and Yang both participated in Monday's meeting. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, national security adviser Jake Sullivan, as well as national security aides Kurt Campbell, Laura Rosenberger and Jon Czin also joined the meeting.

China is scheduled to host the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing in February. Rumors had been circulating that Xi would use Monday's meeting to invite Biden to attend the Games, but a senior administration official said the Olympics did not come up.

A statement by the University’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kunle Akogun, disclosed that the verdict was handed down by the Student Disciplinary Committee where Salaudeen was arraigned on Monday, adding that “he has 48 days to appeal against the verdict to the Vice-Chancellor in case he feels dissatisfied with the decision”.

“Salaudeen has since been handed over to the police for further necessary action,”, Akogun added.

A letter written to Salaudeen by the University Registrar reads, “You will recall that you appeared before the Student Disciplinary Committee (SDC) to defend yourself in respect of an allegation of misconduct leveled against you.

“After due consideration of all evidences before it, the Committee was convinced beyond any reasonable doubt that the allegation of misconduct has been established against you. It has accordingly recommended to the Vice-Chancellor, who in exercise of the power conferred on him, has directed that you Salaudeen, Waliu Aanuoluwa be expelled from the University.

“Accordingly, you are hereby expelled from the University with immediate effect.

Me and my kid bro wen we were living with my grandma in the village due to my parents steady fighing issue. We where playing in the bush wen we went to fetch firewood. He was bitten by a snake a puff adder. I was 11 and he was like 6years at that time. I remember him telling me he was bitten by a scorpion and i told him it was a chookoo chookoo he step on. We where playing but his mood and body changed he became instant quiet. I thought he doesnt want to play the fact he did not cry still shocked me till this day i would have known something terrible happend to him. I was still playing he lie down one place sweating i still ignore him playing around did not know he was dying. Wen i saw a big firewood i told him to bring cutlass let me cut it. He did not answer why lying down. I had to shout but he still did not anwer.i had to get close i notice his leg was swolen and kind of dark. I knew something was wrong instead of me to carry him and go home for help i left him there ran home nobody was there went to my neibor dey followed me. Wen we got there he was dead. I had to touch him to know if he was alright. He quickly carried my broda and ran out of the bush told me to come with him. Then i saw the monster snake that bit my brother in a dry grass staring at me. I couldnt do anything cos i though it was a scorpoin or a chooko chooko was just confuse. Had to run after the man. He took him to a herbalist and dey told us it was a snake. I did not cry was thinking he would wake up that was the last i saw him. The neibor took him to his place and ask me to stay outside he would wake up. I was just lost in the world my only bro i play with forgeting our family issue. Wen my grandma came home. I heard her shouting crying. I knew is over. Since den i am not close to my other siblings i feel playing with them would result to bad thing and i was so careless not to help my brother.. And till this day i hate my parents and myself the more. He was the only true love i have cos we where both close. Very generous. Wis i have to turn back the time. I would have kill that moster if i heard know it was it that bite my brother. Dead to all snake and to all parents ruining there children future cos u cant keep shit together by simple understanding.
this is heartbreaking experience, may his gentle soul continue to rest in peace
