But remember the Lord your God for it is He that gives you power to get wealth and have faith to sustain the mountain top so you don't slide down in no time. i asked some church members this question; How can a christian be strong in the Lord?
Wearing the whole armour of God is not easy, how can we become a better christian?
Some christians will pray and there will be an instant answer, while some will have to struggle for some time before receiving the answer, some will not even pray and the answer will come, it is also a fact that some will not even receive an answer, so i believe everything depends on our relationship with God, but the truth is that these powerful christians must have paid a great price to get to this level, my question is, what have they done?

There are so many christians in Nigeria, but if you look at the Religion section, you will discover that we don't have a large percentage of christians making reasonable contributions again, what they do is to read and go away. Why? It is not all about tolerance, it is about looking at those things that can affect christians positively. Good things that can edify, great topics that can make Nigerian christians better.
Yes, we should tolerate other beliefs but there is a limit to human endurance. Some posters are so desperate to force their opinions on others, they can create so many I.Ds to achieve their aims while some posters have nothing to contribute except to attack Men of God, and do whatever they can to stop tithe, it is so terrible on Nairaland, sometimes i feel that there is no need to contribute to any topic again because if you do some sharks and some hungry roaring lions will destroy the thread.
We have so many christians in Nigeria but it's not the same thing on nairaland. Here, we have been made to believe that haters of God are more than christians, is it really true? The truth is that many christians would like to make meaningful contributions but it is difficult, they would prefer peace to abuse and insults from haters of God.
Creating a christians section will redefine nairaland, it will serve as a resource centre for many christians looking for ways of making their lives better. Christians are faced with challenges everyday, and it is corroborated by what Jesus said that in this world we shall exprience tribulation, we may not be able buy our ways out of trouble all the time, one way or the other the devil will raise his ugly head but christians will do better if they stand on other christians shoulder and learn, i believe this can only be achieved by creating a christian section or else the Religion section will be avoided by many christians.

Ah! My people, the world is not a play ground. It is a field of battle. Let's face facts: there is nobody on the face of this earth without a problem, life is full of uncertainties, life is full of ups and downs, good things of life that you desire to have like car, house, good job, and the rest of them, there are some spiritual forces that do not want you to have all these things, if you do not do anything to stop their operations, then your life is doomed. In this dangerous period, if you are still thinking the world is play field you will need to have a re-think.
The only identification mark on every man is problem, problem is a universal thing, it's not only the blackman that faces problem, it is a universal thing. It comes in different ways, the side it turns to me may not be the side it turns to you. Some begin their own battle from the cradle and it goes on to the grave.
The truth is that many people that did not believe that they can die have died untimely as a result of the battle of life. Believe it or not, it is possible for a man to die before his time.
Some battles are very hard, you can wage against a battle, and the battle will cease within 5 minutes, while some battles may take 10 minutes, 1 hour, 24 hours, one week, 6 months, 10 years, 23yrs, and so on, it all depends on the kind of battle you are facing. There's nothing you can do to stop battle from coming against you. One man food is another man poison. The promotion you are looking for in your office will provoke hatred from another angle, a colleague in the office was telling me a story of how a very close family friend stood up in a meeting to oppose her promotion, what a wicked world!
Many are amazed that Nigerians are very religious, it is because the battle differs from one country to the other, if you do not know, the black man's land is wickedly wicked. Many thanks to God for the C.A.C revival of Oke-oye in 1930, witches used to fly in the day, if you wear good cloth, you may be dead before the next day, things were so bad, it is still happening in some remote area in Nigeria. The secret behind all these battles is not far from the fact that some of our ancestors had commited many grievious sins hundreds of years ago, curses had been placed on some families, these and many more are part of the problem of the blackman.
A story was told of how an old man raped a virgin and the girl issued a curse that all females from the family of the old man will marry with disgrace, and it goes down to the unborn children.
Also, the battle of life differs from person to person, we are from different background.
Nobody is exempted from the battle of life, if you say you have no battle to fight, it means you have been defeated. No one is excluded from the battle of life, no matter your status. Your friends may be helpless on the day of battle.
The battle of life can be mysterious, it can be deep and hidden, it may be difficult to understand. A sister was looking for a husband to marry at the age of forty, after a fervent prayer, God opened her eyes to see that her wedding garment had been placed under a stone in a witchcraft meeting.
We react differently to the battles of life, some will be addicted to drugs, the husband that is having problem at home with his wife will go to the beer parlor to forget his problem, another husband will resort to beating the wife. When the battle is so difficult to overcome, some will commit suicide. Battles are bad things. If you take the bull by the horn and confront your battles, you will discover that you will become stronger.
However, if you are ignorant of the battle facing you, it may kill you.
What do we do?
Let me be honest with you, in this wicked world, there are various kinds of spiritual power, witchcraft, marine, occulltist, spirit husband and spirit wife. All these powers are satanic powers but there is a greater power that is greater than all these powers, the greatest power has been given to JESUS. When you allow Jesus into your life, you are more than conqueror. Eph 6:10 " Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord"
You are now in a better position to fight and put your spiritual enemies to shame.

God bless you my sister, i have a book with me now, DICTIONARY OF DREAMS by Tella olayeri, very good for dreams interpretations, i bought it in the month of march 2010 at MFM international hqtr Onike, Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria. The price was around #1,000 to #2,000. It is a very Big Book, about 856 pages from letter A to Z, including prayer points and possible solutions.
If you read this book, your life will never remain the same again. I think you can also visit any MFM bookshop for a copy.

I was watching the TV one day when a Pastor said that a woman entered her counselling room and opened her breast, it was God that delivered this pastor, if not, that may be the end of his ministry.
I would like to say that at least 20 women are ready to sleep with the pastor, if they have the opportunity, they have been commissioned to pull the pastor down and destroy his testimony. Men of God are really walking through a dangerous path, they will pray for the sheep and if they are not careful, they will become spiritual casualties in the hand of their members through s.exual immorality.
That is not all, if you place a whole buliding on the head of one person (that is the head of the General Overseer) the head will misbehave as result of the pressure.
There are So many people waiting in the counselling room for the Pastor, how will he survive? It is not a tea party.
Pastors, Bishop, deacon, General overseers, Apostle, Evangelist need your prayers, it is not out of place to wake up in the midst of the night and say five minutes of intercessory prayers for your Pastor, it will go a long way to help him in the time of storm.
Paul the Apostle said in Roman 15 : 30- 32 " Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus christ's sake, and for the love of the spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;
That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judea; and that my service which i have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;
That i may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed."
We can see that when we pray for them we will be refreshed, and the work of God will move forward. If we keep quiet and refuse to pray for them, we are the greatest loser. Why? The name of your church will be ridiculed among the unbeliever, through the failure of your highly esteemed Pastors, shame, disgrace will cover you, the man of God you have been singing his praise will now become an object of mockery in the public, just because we believed that it is not neccesary to pray for our Pastors.
Whenever there is a problem in the church, we should not join the rebellious group and start pointing accusing finger to the Pastor, what we should do is to point that finger to ourselves and cry to God to give our Pastor the enabling grace to become what God had in mind concerning him.
Pastors are human being like us, they may not be right all the time, our responsibilty is to prayerfully go on our knees and intercede for them whenever there is crisis in the church.
The truth is that as long as we are on earth, it will be difficult to find a perfect church.
Managing finances is a child play compare to managing human being, it is even worst when these people are now managing the finances of the church, therefore, whether we like it or not, there will be crisis in the church. It is inevitable. Except they are not preaching the real word of God, but as long as the church is attacking the gate of hell everyday, there will be crisis, that is why the man of God must pray, and the members must also assist in lifting up Holy hands unto the Lord. The Lord will uphold his church in Jesus name.

The Bible still remain strong and has been interpreted to so many dialects. Do you think that we can do whatever we like and get away with it? No. Whether you like it or not, there is a reward for good deed and punishment for evil deeds? For instance, are you saying that an armed robber that killed the newly married couple will not face the judgement of God, or the man that used a day old baby for ritual will also be smiling after death. Eccliasiastes 12: 13 - 14 " Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his comandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Many people are ignorant of this fact. They are not aware of how many seeds they contain that can be planted into the lives of others. They are are grumbling about what they don't have, while neglecting great things they have already received.
Genesis 9:9" And I, behold, I establish my convenat with you, and with your SEED after you" So, you can see that you are a seed.
Now, what is a seed? A seed is the nucleus, the beginning, a conception, the source. It is what you can do to make people better, i mean to improve their lives or to add value to them. It is anything you can do to bless somebody. It is what you know or possess to make this world a better place. For example, if people are always complementing you everyday by saying "thank you" or God bless you, then you are planting good seeds into their lives. Everything you are doing now or you are going to do that will put smile on the face of people is a seed. Anything that will make things become easier for your fellow human beings is a seed.
A seed is anything that can multiply or become more. I read a wonderful post by one nairalander. " Two fellows, poor and hungry bricklayers living in Lagos were given a large pawpaw fruit each. One of them (let's call him John) looked at the friut and said , Ha! Thank God, this pawpaw go quench my higer, so, he ate the pawpaw fruit and threw the seeds away. The other(let's call him Jerry) looked at it and saw something different, he saw a plantation. A massive platation. So, he ate the fruit and kept the seeds. Statistic about pawpaw- A pawpaw fruit has about 500 seeds on average. It starts producing fruit after the 1st year and does so for 3 more years. Each tree produce an average of 20 harvestable fruits per year. Next day John and jerry went to work, John bought himself enough beans and garri to last him for one week. Jerry on the other hand bought a hoe and used the rest to pay transport back to his village, with pawpaw seeds in his hand. 500 seeds planted grew to 500 pawpaw trees. In one year, the trees produced 500 * 20= 10,000
pawpaw fruits."
From this brief description which can be tentative, we can see the mystery behind a single seed. Inside a seed, God has written a very powerful instruction that must be carried out, provided all things are equal, these are the various instructions written inside a particular seed, PRODUCE, MULTIPLY, BECOME MORE, INCREASE.
A seed is genetically coded, it has life to yield increase, it is God's recovery strategy to bruise the head of the serpent.
What are the various seeds available for us to plant; Time, Love, kindness, prayers, forgiveness, money, thoughts, thankfulness,patience and so on.
It is very sad that many are not even aware that money is not the only seed we can plant, there are other things we can do to affect our generation for good. We must not forget that whatever we do in this world has the power to come back to us, what goes round comes around, therefore, we must not cheat, kill, lie, deceive becaue if we do, there is something waiting for us in the nearest future, and you need a lie to maintain another lie, if you live by the sword you will eventually die by the sword, if you steal from your fellow human being, you are bound to be duped. We need to be careful.
Then, there is big a problem for those that behave anyhow without discipline, the problem is, we reap more than we sow, if you sow a wind, you reap a whirlwind, never make the mistake of assuming that whatever i have done, i have done it, nothing will happen. A big NO. The truth is that there is a consequence or reward for whatever we are doing now or we are about to do. Genesis 8:22 " while the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease" also, Galatian 6:7 " Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
Something good or bad is waiting for us somewhere mysteriously. We need to be wise.
As a christian, we have a great opportunity to become great, mighty, wealthy and powerful, if only we can plant various good seeds into the live of people around us, there is something known as battle seed, you can plant a battle seed as directed by the Holyghost when you are facing a great challenge in your christian life. Infact, the world is, what it is today because christians are still praying, interceeding, fasting, giving to the things of God,writing inspirational books, establishing schools and doing many other things. Once christians are no longer in this sinking world, then the world will know that christians are truely the light of the world.
Lastly, you must recognize your seed, it may be your gift, talent, skill that God has deposited in you to sow into the lives of others. Do not be ashamed, do not hide it, use your seed. Proverb 18:16 " A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men"

1. They are all frustrated at religions and they have rights too for life itself don't add up.

2. How can u say there is no God and you spend all your time, intellect and energy proving otherwise? You are trying to prove that there is no God by quoting theorems and happenings. Why not just stick to your own belief and rest?

3. controversies they say abound in the Bible, well I agree that several 'unexplanable' things r in d Bible but I bet u'll never figure them out or prove them wrong either. So create ur own holy book and make it perfect

4. They say the Bible is not the word of God, I thought you already said there was no God?

5.Believing there is no God wouldn't ease frustrations

6.If life itself were a product of evolution, I think in the twenty-some years have been here, cats would have evolved to a point they start holding bottles or walking properly on twos

7. When atheist are really thankful, who do they thank? Charles Darwin?

prosperity is a Covenant:

so it only answers to Covenant; not Prayers.. Prosperity is a spirit same as poverty,

When your a tither,nothing can harm or oppress your family,because the Lord will devour the devourers for your sake

(2) WORSHIP OFFERING:



deut 16:16, Worship offering is also a vital part and another way to get Supernatural Prosperity..when you give your Offerings,GOD will have NO CHOICE but to BLESS YOU..

(3) KINGDOM INVESTMENT:


When you give towards God's projects(e.g building of church,providing anything the church needs) it's called Kingdom investment. God expects you to key into this area,because He wants to bless you..it's a Covenant demand,HE
blesses you so that you can be a blessing to others,including the church..don't neglect this part, always remember, everything you have NOW is given to you by God; He can demand of it at anytime.
Haggai 1:3-13 .,so be always cheerful and privileged that you've been blessed and chosen by God to help the needies and to invest into the kingdom..

I would like to mention that some christians need to pray, (note the word SOME christians not ALL christians) you cannot underestimate the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man. It is not that the prayer will replace obedience to kingdom investments, but the prayer will make faithful christians to receive unimaginable wealth from God, i mean an explosive increase, also, we are different, we are from different backgrounds, some people came from a cursed family, some are rooted in idolatry and strange witchcraft foundation, and you know God cannot bless those he has cursed, therefore, some foundational deliverance prayers need to take place before some breakthroughs can manifest.
Prayer and fasting cannot be totally ruled out when it comes to prosperity, remember the prayer of Jabez, 1 chronicle 4: 9-10 " And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because i bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of isreal, saying, Oh, that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested."
My brother, kingdom investment is powerful, we must also pray and be patient, i say we need to wait for God's appointed time, Hebrew 6:12" That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises."
Nowadays, christians are too much in a hurry, we must not run ahead of God, the truth is that if we want the best from God, we need to make sacrifice in terms of giving and allow God to move mysteriously in our finances.

Satan mixed himself with the children of God. It is easy for somebody in darkness to see those in the light, but if a man is in the light he needs special annointing to see those in darkness. Therefore, spiritual blindness is a disaster.
I am using this medium to inform my people that you need to be careful with what you read, hear or listen to on nairaland, the Bible says watch and pray.
The truth is satan has respresentatives here, some are already known by you, some disguise as an agent of light, that is they pretend to be christian but inwardly they are dangerous, some have i.d that are christlike, some are twisters of the scripture, some are here to preach the message of hell, some are here to kill, to destroy in hell.

My brother, if you really want to get over it, move away from that area for sometime, go to another place, out of sight is out of mind. After all she has already told you the truth.
Besides, i would like to say that you should not allow this issue to weigh you down, keep believing in God for the right patner, i can see that you have done 7 days fasting and prayer to know the will of God for your life, there is nothing wrong if you can pray again, this time around let it be with a good christian brother that is spiritually mature, the Bible says in the mouth of two or three witness the truth shall be established.
In a good christian setting, you should not have approached the lady, what about the Pastor in charge of that church? Did you inform him about your conviction? Anyway, i do not want to go into details when it comes to choosing a life partner in a good christian setting.
You see, my brother, in this part of the world, Marriage is not easy. It is like two people coming from different background with different training. Why am i saying this? My brother, you need God more than any other thing to succeed in your relationship, infact, if you need to hear God in an audible voice concerning choosing a life partner, it is more than that, i would like to say that you should start doing those things that will make God to favour you for the best partner. This is a major problem in the christendom, i mean lack of patience, many christians are too much in a hurry, we want the answer now, now, Haba! we should study the life of Joseph, God gave him a dream about his destiny, it took many years before the manifestation of the dream. Whenever we are faced with challenges and it seems there is no way out, things are becoming difficult, a time will come that the greatest thing that we need is a divine direction. A word from the Lord. Let us take saul as our example, 1 samuel 28:5-6 " And when saul saw the host of the philistines, he was afraid, and his heart greatly trembled. And when saul enquired of the LORD and the Lord answered him NOT, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by Prophets". In the New Testaments, Mattew 15:22-23" And, behold, a woman of canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of God; my daughter is grevously vexed with a devil. But he ANSWERED HER NOT A WORD. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us". So, we can see that sometimes God in his sovereignty can decide not to say or do anything about our predicament.
Another example is in 1 samuel 17:1- end. Goliath terrorized God children for forty days, and God kept silence. Until David came to kill Goliath. This same thing is happening in Nigeria today, Boko haram is terrorizing us everyday, and God remains mute.
Now,this particular question come to our minds; can God keep silence about our tribulations? We are very close to the answer.
Psalm 83:1 " Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God". Another lamentation from the book of Jeremiah 14:8-9 " 0 the hope of isreal, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night? Why shouldest thou be as a man astonished, as a mighty man that cannot SAVE? Yet thou, O Lord, art in the midst of us, and we are called by thy name; leave us not". These two verses are clearly telling us that the same God who is mighy to save, the great deliverer can sometimes become silent in the midst of trouble. It is not a silence of unconcern, heaven can hear but for some reasons, he may decide not do anything, just as some people react to situations around them, some will keep quiet when they are angry, others may keep quiet because they want to take care of other things that are more important, some may not have time for idle talk, while others are not interested in whatever is going on.
God's silence does not mean approval, it may mean that God is working on your request. God may want you to persevere in prayer, the case of the syrophenician woman in Mark 7:26-28. The woman persisted by showing a good reason why her daughter should be healed and she received answer. Also God's silence may mean that God is testing you to see how you will react, or God might have spoken to you before but you did not listen or you have forgotten. God can also decide not to speak. Let God be God.
The truth is that we cannot time God and say if you don't do anything about my situation at so so time, i will backslide, NO. What we need to do is to thorougly analyse our lives, whether we are doing the wrong thing or we are not even in tune with the wavelenght of heaven. It is high time to examine whether there is an unconfessed sin hindering our prayers and to also discover if there is a particular restitution we ought to have made and we forgot to do it.
Moreover, modern day gadgets have the capacity to hinder us from hearing from God, for example, over addiction to various internet websites or forums e.g, nairaland, naijapals, nigeria best forum, facebook, twitter, punchng, thisdaylive, dailytrust newspapers and so on. All these are capable of blocking our hears or hinder us from receiving from God. Do not get me wrong, i am not saying we should not browse the net, what i am saying is that too much of anything is not good, i will not forget to mention television, especially Dstv, the Lord will help us.
Spiritual bondage as well as the cares of this present evil world can contibute to God's silence.
Lastly, there are some few facts i would like to share.
1. Do not be proud, a proud man will find it difficult to hear from God, James 4:6, God resisteth the proud.
2. God is sovereign, he can decide to be silent. Let God be God.
3. Do not compare youself to other, we are not the same.
4. Present your case again and again before God, do not stop praying, be persistent, show good reasons, wait upon the Lord.
5. While praying, try to listen to the still small voice of God, it will hit your heart, you will know it. I have exprienced it before.
6. Criticize yourself, examine yourself, do a through analysis of your life.

Similarly, Acts 5:39 " For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord God shall call."
So Mr. Logic boy, you can see that the myth that Christianity is an European Affair is Historically inaccurate.
We must however appreciate the white missionaries for risking their lives to bring the Gospel to Africa, but we must debunk the myth that the white missionaries are the first people to bring the Gospel to Africa. Do your research very well, you will discover that Christianity was thriving in Africa long before it reached the British isles and North America, from where so many of the protestant missionaries came.

However, when you give your life to christ, the first thing you gain is eternal life , that is when you die, your name is written in the book of life, you will be counted among the redeemed of the Lord.
The peace of God which cannot be described, the one that is beyond your understanding will flow into your heart.

The truth is that the white missionaries are not the first representatives of christianity on our continent,the history of christianity in Africa began in the 1st century when Mark the Evangelist started the orthodox church of Alexandra in about 43 AD, the presence of christianity in Africa began in the Middle of 1st century in Egypt, and by the end of the 2nd century in the region around carthage. Important Africans who influenced the early development of christianity includes, tertullian, clement of Alexandria, Cyprain. It may not be true that Mark was of African descent but it is true that God sent him to Africa, infact, Mark died as a martyr in Africa in the summer of the year 68 AD.
Another evidence we can gather to debunk this false belief that christianity is a white man's cuture is that when it was time for Paul to be sent on missionary Journey, black men laid hands on him. People may dispute this, but let's see Acts 13:1-5, There were praying and the Holyghost said, seperate unto me Paul and Barnabas for the work which i have called them, the prophecy could not have come from Paul or Barnabas. The remaining people in the gathering were Niger and lucius of Cyrene, and others, these two were black men. They laid hands on Paul and Barnabas.

You see, a good relationship with God is essential but the bible says we must forsake the assembly of one another, that is the church, you need to hear testimony for edification, you need to attend bible study, you need to fellowship with the children of God, and of course, you will need counselling from an exprience men of God, it is important.
Go on your knees now, call upon your God to reveal to you, the actual place where the spirit of God is dwelling, cry to God for direction on the place of worship he wants you to Join. If you need to do 3 days fasting and prayer to discover the right church you better do it, why? Some people have attended the wrong church and they have gone to hell.
