Christianity EtcHow Can Six Thousand Devils Called Legion Possessed A Man? by God2man(op): 11:05pm On Aug 10, 2012
Let us read these Bible verses together to understand my curiosity, Luke 8:26-35:

"And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.

And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.

When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have i to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, tormen me not.

( For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters: and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness)

And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.

And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.

And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.

Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.

When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country.

Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were dparted, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and his right mind: and they were afraid"

Now, i am still wondering about these story. A single man possessed with six thousand devils. How? Where are those devils residing? The body, soul or the spirit. Where? That word Legion in a miltary usage represents six thousand men in Roman Army. Six thousand demons or devils in a man. Amazing!

Nairalanders, can you help me?

God bless you.

IslamRe: Science Confirms Fasting is Good for Human Health by God2man(m): 6:37pm On Aug 09, 2012
maclatunji: Fasting Matters: Eat, Fast and Live Better

On Monday 6th August, a Horizon documentary was aired on BBC 2 named, "Eat, Fast and Live Longer".

Michael Mosley has set himself a truly ambitious goal: he wants to live longer, stay younger and lose weight in the bargain. And he wants to make as few changes to his life as possible along the way. He discovers the powerful new science behind the ancient idea of fasting, and he thinks he's found a way of doing it that still allows him to enjoy his food. Michael tests out the science of fasting on himself - with life-changing results.

Having watched the programme, we decided to write a few insights about what we learnt but also to revisit what we already knew. This programme serves as a powerful reminder.

WHAT MICHAEL DISCOVERS

In his journey he explores 2 things: (1) Secrets to good health and (2) Secrets to longevity. The first thing he finds is that one should not eat very much paying particular attention to diet. From there he goes on to find a man who knows all about the growth hormone IGF-1 and about fasting. He tells him to fast for 3 days, the results are impressive, Michael reduced the risk of getting many age-related diseases.

He doesn't stop there. He goes on to discover what is called, "intermittent fasting" - a fasting on alternate days. So one day he will fast and the next he will feast. What is very interesting is what he discovers about the effects of fasting on the aging of the brain. Although the tests were on mice, they suggest that human beings have a very good to excellent chance of reducing brain diseases by fasting intermittently.

The results of brain scanning on the mice revealed something far more interesting. They discovered that hunger actually created new brain cells and so by fasting you actually increase your cognitive abilities. So it is exercise for the brain. Hunger makes you sharper.

He then discovers what he calls the 5-2 diet. Eat for 5 days as normal and fast for 2 days. He gives this a go for a few months. The results show that he not only lost well over a stone in weight but significantly reduced his body fat. His IGF-1 reduced by 50%, his glucose dropped to a good level, and his bad cholesterol dropped with his good cholesterol increasing. Therefore he cut the risks he had of getting diseases but if he continues, he doesn't have to take tablets at all.

In conclusion he discovers:

1. Good health and longevity in age lies in diet - food matters.
2. Fasting can be done best according to the 5-2 diet system.
3. Fasting makes you healthier.
4. Fasting makes you sharper.
5. Fasting is not everybody - certain people shouldn't fast, for example a pregnant woman he mentions.

Let's dig into this a little more....

WHAT WE ALREADY KNEW

What Horizon has done, is confirm a constant tradition of Prophets and the pious of this world. Over 1400 years ago - we were told the realities of fasting. Ever since then, we have numerous works on the virtues and wisdoms of fasting. They don't seem to realise that they have confirmed the traditions and habits of the Beloved Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and those who followed him.

The Word Fasting

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said,
in an authentic narration by Abu Nu'aym: "صوموا تصحوا", which literally means, "Fast and be healthy." There is a better and far more accurate translation to it and that is "Fast and Flourish." There are only two words used here yet these two words hold so many meanings.

The first word is "Sumoo", fast, this word is derived from the Arabic root of "Saama" and Syriac, "Sawma." It means "to abstain" and when we fast we not only abstain from food and drink, but we also abstain from various desires of the lower soul. The word “fasting” in English is derived from the Old English (Anglo-Saxon) term ‘fæstan’ meaning to “hold firmly”, in the same way we would talk about ‘making fast’ or ‘fasten’, and the sense evolution is via “firm control of oneself,” to “holding to observance.”

The second word, "tasihhu," flourish, comes from the Arabic root of "Sahha/Sihha", which means to be healthy, be in order, to heal or to correct. The reason why the word flourish better suits this is that "flourish" means to be strong, healthy, develop well, to adorn, or to be most productive or at ones peak.

Therefore we discover that fasting encompasses internal and external well being. It isn't just about abstinence but it is much more.

prince FAD: For manual, changing to neutral gear is not advisable. As neutral makes the car to be more free,no more grip on the car and you can loose control of the car expecially when on high speed and going down a steepy road.Never never change to neutral.
The best thing to do is to change to gear 1 and remove ur leg gently from the clutch until you completely free your ur leg from it.This will defintely slow down the car and you can then apply handbrake to bring the car to a complete halt.

question: This topic is a reactive one. But what is required is a proactive measure.

Be proactive and not reactive.
1. don't wait for the brake to fail. Periodic maintenance is important.
2. don't drive at top speed. So if the brake fails or the tire bursts, damage or injury will not be low or minimal.
3. For manual gear, gradually switch from top to low gear, then to neutral. then hand brake.
4. For Auto gear, switch to neutral and gradually apply the hand brake.

I do not know what can be done if you are driving large/heavy duty vehicle such as trailer.
IslamRe: Why Has The Moderator Banned Posts On When Someone Insults Islam: How To Behave by God2man(m): 7:16pm On Aug 08, 2012
manmustwac: All nairaland mods have received new instructions from Seun Osewa the site owner how to deal with trolls. Please read the following.

Dear Valued Moderators, this to inform you that we're implementing a no-troll-tolerance policy with immediate effect.

A troll is a persistent trouble-maker who keeps disrupting the forum in one way or the other: e.g. consistently posting irritating offtopic comments on other peoples' threads, insulting people for no reason whatsoever, posting satellite pictures or other images that have nothing to do with anything, etc. People who make the forum unpleasant for everyone else. Some of them are spammers as well, posting adverts in non-ad sections deliberately.

I've decided that we must not permit them to troll our forum any longer. We must not tolerate them any longer.

I need you to help me implement this decision. Here's how: when a troll persistently disrupts your section, you should ban him/her from your section for 48 hours. If he repeats the offence after coming back, ban him for 96 hours. Keep doubling the ban time until he/she gets the message. If he/she registers a new ID, ban the new ID for 1 year. Don't develop the attitude that "there's nothing I can do", because it's not true: you can JUST BAN THEM from your section.

If moderators can't deal decisively with the trolls in their sections, what's the point of having moderators?

The goal is to make Nairaland a more pleasant place, so people won't be afraid to participate. People often say it takes a thick skin to post Nairaland because you will end up getting insulted and having to deal with tribal arguments and other irritations. So they post on Facebook instead. I want us to eliminate the troll problem so thoroughly that people will start to prefer posting on Nairaland to posting on Facebook.

Volume 1: Chapter 1

SPIRIT, SOUL AND BODY

The ordinary concept of the constitution of human beings is dualistic-soul and body. According to this concept soul is the invisible inner spiritual part, while body is the visible outer corporal part. Though there is some truth to this, it is nevertheless inaccurate. Such an opinion comes from fallen man, not from God; apart from God's revelation, no concept is dependable. That the body is man's outward sheath is undoubtedly correct, but the Bible never confuses spirit and soul as though they are the same. Not only are they different in terms; their very natures differ from each other. The Word of God does not divide man into the two parts of soul and body. It treats man, rather, as tripartite-spirit, soul and body. I Thessalonians 5.23 reads: "May the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." This verse precisely shows that the whole man is divided into three parts. The Apostle Paul refers here to the complete sanctification of believers, "sanctify you wholly. "According to the Apostle, how is a person wholly sanctified? By his spirit and soul and body being kept. From this we can easily understand that the whole person comprises these three parts. This verse also makes a distinction between spirit and soul; otherwise, Paul would have said simply "your soul." Since God has distinguished the human spirit from the human soul, we conclude that man is composed of not two, but three, parts; spirit, soul and body.

Is it a matter of any consequence to divide spirit and soul? It is an issue of supreme importance for it affects tremendously the spiritual life of a believer. How can a believer understand spiritual life if he does not know what is the extent of the realm of the spirit? Without such understanding how can he grow spiritually? To fail to distinguish between spirit and soul is fatal to spiritual maturity. Christians often account what is soulical. as spiritual, and thus they remain in a soulish state and seek not what is really spiritual. How can we escape loss if we confuse what God has divided?

Spiritual knowledge is very important to spiritual life. Let us add, however, that it is equally as, if not more, important for a believer to be humble and willing to accept the teaching of the Holy Spirit. If so, the Holy Spirit will grant him the experience of the dividing of spirit and soul, although he may not have too much knowledge concerning this truth. On the one hand, the most ignorant believer, without the slightest idea of the division of spirit and soul, may yet experience such a dividing in real life. On the other hand, the most informed believer, completely conversant with the truth concerning spirit and soul, may nonetheless have no experience of it. Far better is that person who may have both the knowledge and the experience. The majority, however, lack such experience. Consequently, it is well initially to lead these to know the different functions of spirit and soul and then to encourage them to seek what is spiritual.

Other portions of the Scriptures make this same differentiation between spirit and soul. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Heb. 4.12). The writer in this verse divides man's non-corporal elements into two parts, 11 soul and spirit. The corporal part is mentioned here as including the joints and marrow organs of motion and sensation. When the priest uses the sword to cut and completely dissect the sacrifice, nothing inside can be hidden. Even joint and marrow are separated. In like manner the Lord Jesus uses the Word of God on His people to separate thoroughly, to pierce even to the division of the spiritual, the soulical, and the physical. And from this it follows that since soul and spirit can be divided, they must be different in nature. It is thus evident here that man is a composite of three parts.

THE CREATION OF MAN

And Jehovah God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul (Gen. 2.7 ASV). When God first created man He formed him of dust from the ground, and then breathed the breath of life into his nostrils. As soon as the breath of life, which became man's spirit, came into contact with man's body, the soul was produced. Hence the soul is the combination of man's body and spirit. The Scriptures therefore call man a living soul. The breath of life became man's spirit; that is, the principle of life within him. The Lord Jesus tells us it is the spirit that gives life (John 6.63). This breath of life comes from the Lord of Creation. However, we must not confuse man's spirit with God's Holy Spirit. The latter differs from our human spirit. Romans 8.16 demonstrates their difference by declaring that it is the Spirit himself bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God. The original of the word life in breath of life is chay and is in the plural. This may refer to the fact that the in-breathing of God produced a twofold life, soulical and spiritual. When the in-breathing of God entered man's body it became the spirit of man; but when the spirit reacted with the body the soul was produced. This explains the source of our spiritual and soulical lives. We must recognize, though, that this spirit is not God's Own life, for the breath of the Almighty gives me life (job 33.4). It is not the entrance of the uncreated life of God into man, neither is it that life of God, which we receive at regeneration. What we receive at new birth is God's Own life as typified by the tree of life. But our human spirit, though permanently existing, is void of eternal life.

"Formed man of dust from the ground" refers to man's body; "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life" refers to man's spirit as it came from God; and "man became a living soul" refers to man's soul when the body was quickened by the spirit and brought into being a living and self-conscious man. A complete man is a trinity the composite of spirit, soul and body. According to Genesis 2.7, man was made up of only two independent elements, the corporeal and the spiritual; but when God placed the spirit within the casing of the earth, the soul was produced. The spirit of man touching the dead body produced the soul. The body apart from the spirit was dead, but with the spirit man was made alive. The organ thus animated was called the soul.

Man became a living soul expresses not merely the fact that the combination of spirit and body produced the soul; it also suggests that spirit and body were completely merged in this soul. In other words, soul and body were combined with the spirit, and spirit and body were merged in the soul. Adam in his unfallen state knew nothing of these ceaseless strivings of spirit and flesh which are matters of daily experience to us. There was a perfect blending of his three natures into one and the soul as the uniting medium became the cause of his individuality, of his existence as a distinct being. (Pember'sEarth's Earliest Age) Man was designated a living soul, for it was there that the spirit and body met and through which his individuality was known. Perhaps we may use an imperfect illustration: drop some dye into a cup of water. The dye and water will blend into a third substance called ink. In like manner the two independent elements of spirit and body combine to become living soul. (The analogy fails in that the soul produced by the combining of spirit and body becomes an independent, indissoluble element as much as the spirit and body.)

God treated man's soul as something unique. As the angels were created as spirits, so man was created predominantly as a living soul. Man not only had a body, a body with the breath of life; he became a living soul as well. Thus we find later in the Scriptures that God often referred to men as souls. Why? Because what the man is depends on how his soul is. His soul represents him and expresses his individuality. It is the organ of man's free will, the organ in which spirit and body are completely merged. If man's soul wills to obey God, it will allow the spirit to rule over the man as ordered by God. The soul, if it chooses, also can suppress the spirit and take some other delight as lord of the man. This trinity of spirit, soul and body may be partially illustrated by a light bulb. Within the bulb, which can represent the total man, there are electricity, light and wire. The spirit is like the electricity, the soul the light, and body the wire. Electricity is the cause of the light while light is the effect of electricity. Wire is the material substance for carrying the electricity as well as for manifesting the light. The combination of spirit and body produces soul, that which is unique to man. As electricity, carried by the wire, is expressed in light, so spirit acts upon the soul and the soul, in turn, expresses itself through the body.

However, we must remember well that whereas the soul is the meeting-point of the elements of our being in this present life, the spirit will be the ruling power in our resurrection state. For the Bible tells us that it is sown a physical body, it is raised a spiritual body (I Cor. 15.44). Yet here

is a vital point: we who have been joined to the resurrected Lord can even now have our spirit rule over the whole being. We are not united to the first Adam who was made a living soul but to the last Adam who is a life-giving spirit (v.45).

RESPECTIVE FUNCTIONS OF SPIRIT, SOUL AND BODY

It is through the corporal body that man comes into contact with the material world. Hence we may label the body as that part which gives us world-consciousness. The soul comprises the intellect, which aids us in the present state of existence, and the emotions, which proceed from the senses. Since the soul belongs to man's own self and reveals his personality, it is termed the part of self-consciousness. The spirit is that part by which we commune with God and by which alone we are able to apprehend and worship Him. Because it tells us of our relationship with God, the spirit is called the element of God-consciousness. God dwells in the spirit, self dwells in the soul, while senses dwell in the body.

As we have mentioned already, the soul is the meeting point of spirit and body, for there they are merged. By his spirit man holds intercourse with the spiritual world and with the Spirit of God, both receiving and expressing the power and life of the spiritual realm. Through his body man is in contact with the outside sensuous world, affecting it and being is affected by it. The soul stands between these two worlds, yet belongs to both. It is linked with the spiritual world through the spirit and with the material world through the body. It also possesses the power of free will, hence is able to choose from among its environments. The spirit cannot act directly upon the body. It needs a medium, and that medium is the soul produced by the touching of the spirit with the body. The soul therefore stands between the spirit and the body, binding these two together. The spirit can subdue the body through the medium of the soul, so that it will obey God; likewise the body through the soul can draw the spirit into loving the world.

Of these three elements the spirit is the noblest for it joins with God.

The body is the lowest for it contacts with matter. The soul lying between them joins the two together and also takes their character to be its own.

The soul makes it possible for the spirit and the body to communicate and

to cooperate. The work of the soul is to keep these two in their proper order so that they may not lose their right relationship ---namely, that the lowest, the body, may be subjected to the spirit, and that the highest, the spirit, may govern the body through the soul. Man's prime factor is definitely the soul. It looks to the spirit to give what the latter has received from the Holy Spirit in order that the soul, after it has been perfected, may transmit what it has obtained to the body; then the body too may share in the perfection of the Holy Spirit and so become a spiritual body.

The spirit is the noblest part of man and occupies the innermost area of his being. The body is the lowest and takes the outermost place. Between these two dwells the soul, serving as their medium. The body is the outer shelter of the soul, while the soul is the outer sheath of the spirit. The spirit transmits its thought to the soul and the soul exercises the body to obey the spirit's order. This is the meaning of the soul as the medium. Before the fall of man the spirit controlled the whole being through the soul.

The power of the soul is most substantial, since the spirit and the body are merged there and make it the site of man's personality and influence. Before man committed sin the power of the soul was completely under the dominion of the spirit. Its strength was therefore the spirit's strength. The spirit cannot itself act upon the body; it can only do so through the medium of the soul. This we can see in Luke 1.46-47: "My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior" (Darby). Here the change in tense shows that the spirit first conceived joy in God, and then, communicating with the soul, caused it to give expression to the feeling by means of the bodily organ. (Pember's Earth's Earliest Age)

To repeat, the soul is the site of personality. The will, intellect and emotions of man are there. As the spirit is used to communicate with the spiritual world and the body with the natural world, so the soul stands between and exercises its power to discern and decide whether the spiritual or the natural world should reign. Sometimes too the soul itself takes control over man through its intellect, thus creating an ideational world which reigns. In order for the spirit to govern, the soul must give its consent; otherwise the spirit is helpless to regulate the soul and the body. But this decision is up to the soul, for therein resides the personality of the man.

Actually the soul is the pivot of the entire being, because man's volition belongs to it. It is only when the soul is willing to assume a humble position that the spirit can ever manage the whole man. If the soul rebels against taking such a position the spirit will be powerless to rule. This explains the meaning of the free will of man. Man is not an automaton that turns according to God's will. Rather, man has full sovereign power to decide for himself. He possesses the organ of his own volition and can choose either to follow God's will or to resist Him and follow Satan's will instead. God desires that the spirit, being the noblest part of man, should control the whole being. Yet, the will---the crucial part of individuality-belongs to the soul. It is the will, which determines whether the spirit, the body, or even itself is to rule. In view of the fact that the soul possesses such power and is the organ of man's individuality, the Bible calls man's a living soul.

THE HOLY TEMPLE AND MAN

Do you not know, writes the Apostle Paul, that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? (1 Cor. 3.16) He has received revelation in likening man to the temple. As God formerly dwelt in the temple, so the Holy Spirit indwells man today. By comparing him to the temple we can see how the tripartite elements of man are distinctly manifested.

We know the temple is divided into three parts. The first is the outer court, which is seen by all and visited by all. All external worship is offered here. Going further in is the Holy Place, into which only the priests can enter and where they present oil, incense and bread to God. They are quite near to God-yet not the nearest, for they are still outside the veil and therefore unable to stand before His very presence. God dwells deepest within, in the Holy of Holies, where darkness is overshadowed by brilliant light and into which no man can enter. Though the high priest does enter in once annually, it nonetheless indicates that before the veil is rent there can be no man in the Holy of Holies.

Man is God's temple also, and he too has three parts. The body is like the outer court, occupying an external position with its -life visible to all. Here man ought to obey every commandment of God. Here God's Son serves as a substitute and dies for mankind. Inside is man's soul which constitutes the inner life of man and which embraces man's emotion, volition and mind. Such is the Holy Place of a regenerated person, for his love, will and thought are fully enlightened that he may serve God even as the priest of old did. Innermost, behind the veil, lies the Holy of Holies into which no human light has ever penetrated and no naked eye has ever pierced. It is the secret place of the Most High, the dwelling place of God. It cannot be reached by man unless God is willing to rend the veil. It is man's spirit. This spirit lies beyond man's self-consciousness and above his sensibility. Here man unites and communes with God.

No light is provided for the Holy of Holies because God dwells, there. There is light in the Holy Place supplied by the lampstand of seven branches. The outer court stands under the broad daylight. All these serve as images and shadows to a regenerated person. His spirit is like the Holy of Holies indwelt by God, where everything is carried on by faith, beyond the sight, sense or understanding of the believing one. The soul resembles the Holy Place for it is amply enlightened with many rational thoughts and precepts, much knowledge and understanding concerning the things in the ideational and material world. The body is comparable to the outer court, clearly visible to all. The body's actions may be seen by everyone.

The order, which God presents to us, is unmistakable: your spirit and soul and body (I Thess. 5.23). It is not soul and spirit and body, nor is it body and soul and spirit. The spirit is the pre-eminent part, hence it is mentioned first; the body is the lowest and therefore is last mentioned; the soul stands between, so is mentioned between. Having now seen God's order, we can appreciate the wisdom of the Bible in likening man to a temple. We can recognize the perfect harmony, which exists between the temple and man in respect to both order and value.

Temple service moves according to the revelation in the Holy of Holies. All activities in the Holy Place and in the outer court are regulated by the presence of God in the Holiest Place. This is the most sacred spot, the place upon which the four corners of the temple converge and rest. It may seem to us that nothing is done in the Holiest because it is pitch dark. All activities are in the Holy Place; even those activities of the outer court are controlled by the priests of the Holy Place. Yet all the activities of the Holy Place actually are directed by the revelation in the utter quietness and peace of the Holy of Holies.

It is not difficult to perceive the spiritual application. The soul, the organ of our personality, is composed of mind, volition and emotion. It appears as though the soul is master of all actions, for the body follows its direction. Before the fall of man, however, the soul, in spite of its many activities, was governed by the spirit. And this is the order God still wants: first the spirit, then the soul, and lastly the body.
Christianity EtcRe: The Difference Between 'spirit' And 'soul' by God2man(m): 8:07am On Aug 08, 2012
Baawaa: There are two words that are often used interchangeably but actually they are different. There is what we call the “Soul” but we also have something very different which we refer to as our, “Spirit.” So for instance, if we look at the following scripture in Hebrews 4:12 it says,
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. – Hebrews 4:12
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. – 1 Thessalonians 5:23

By looking at this scripture we can see that the bible makes a clear distinction between soul and spirit.
To make it simple let’s take a look at a chart. This chart was originally designed more than 30 years ago by our founding pastor and teacher, deep in the mountains of Korea where he grew up. He too wondered about the spirit and what happens after you die, and after many deep prayers this is the design that Jesus gave him through inspiration.
1. The Physical Body.
2. The Soul (Mind)
3. The Spirit [spiritual body]
1. The Physical Body.

In the past 100 years we have been able learn a lot more about the physical body through the advances in science and medicine. Much is known about the physical body and you will spend many hours studying it in school so we don’t need to elaborate on it here. But once we begin to study human nature and human behavior we immediately go beyond the physical level. Everything beyond this point goes outside the scope of physical science and into the sciences of psychology or sociology, and finally religion. This brings us to the level of the Soul or the Mind.
Psychology

In one of the youngest sciences, psychology, scholars often begin trying to explain about this concept of “the Mind.” Of course we have a brain which is a physical entity, but when they are talking about the mind it is different than the brain. They are talking about something that is intangible. The soul is not something we can grab, touch, weigh or measure.
2. The Soul

“Soul” is a religious term but it might make more sense for you to think of it as the Mind. From here we derive our thoughts, our Will, desires, our emotions, as well as our ability to reason. This goes beyond the physical level into the mental level. So for example the physical body let’s you know when it’s hungry and craves certain tastes and addictions. These signals are sent to the brain and the mind tries to work out a solution to answer that need. A more developed mind can overcome the immediate desires of the body in favor of eating healthier foods out of concern for sustaining the long term health of the body. The body seeks only immediate satisfaction. It always avoids discomfort, doesn’t like to sit still and read, and it is not our physical body that desires to learn.
3. The Spirit

All flesh is not the same: Men have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another. There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. – 1 Cor 15:39-40

If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. – 1 Cor 15:44

Just as surely as you have a physical body that lives in the physical world you also have a spiritual body which lives in the spiritual world. Just as there is both male and female, there is also both physical and spiritual. While alive in this world they are all connected.

Your spirit resembles your physical body just like your physical body resembles your parents. The spirit can see, touch, smell, taste, and hear just as much or more than the physical body. Your spirit feels things very intensely at the spiritual level which is by far the highest level or deepest level. The health of our faith determines what kind of life the spirit lives. And according to how you are influenced spiritually determines whether your spirit will go towards either the heavenly spiritual world or suffer in deeper and deeper levels of Hell. The fate of eternity is determined by how well your spirit develops. This is why it is so vital to understand properly.
LiteratureRe: The Pain Of Pleasure - A Must Read For Every Lady And Her Boyfriend. by God2man(m): 8:43pm On Aug 07, 2012
mute4real: What I want to share with us today is about the pain of pleasure. We live in a world today where we are literally killing ourselves with pleasure. We are dying everyday, not out of pain as we define it, but out of pleasure. And nobody seems to be saying anything about it. We are amusing ourselves to death and nobody really cares. Stella Damascus, the Nollywood actress, shared in her column in about how a friend of hers was mad at her because when her(the friend’s) kids wanted to watch TV the only channel that the decoder was locked on Nickelodeon and the kids wanted one of the “more interesting” channels like Ben Ten where some real violence take place.

Today, entire families sit in front of the television box and are ingesting pleasure capsules hour after hour not realizing that they are dying. May I suggest to you that just like any other thing in this life, pleasure can be addictive? And the addictive nature of pleasure brings about negative repercussions. I don’t have to be a genius to know that unless urgent measures are taken to fight this addiction we are going to keep seeing an increase in divorce rates as families become mere acquaintances of one another. And an increase in divorce rates will lead to an increase in fatherless and motherless homes, which leads to half-prepared children sent out to face the pressure of society, which leads to these kids growing up to be men and women who are not responsible enough to be fathers and mothers themselves but have the tools between their legs to make them have babies. So, when they have kids they abandon them. They never knew what it is like to have a father or a mother so they have no idea how to be one, themselves.

Besides the long term effect of the addictive nature of pleasure like just narrated in the preceding paragraph. I also see that one of the more immediate effects of the pain of pleasure is the reluctance to learn. I see a dearth of knowledge all around. All that is on the minds of recent graduates now is how he or she can get his or her own Blackberry. I hear the cost of a new Blackberry today begins at N20,000 ($130). I even hear that the cost of some go for as high as over N100,000 ($660). Is that true? And when I turn to have a decent conversation with one of these young and beautiful ladies brandishing their Blackberrys all around, I get the shock of my life that all there is is a Brazilian hair and an empty brain. Except for the well developed part of the brain used in pinging.

I and a friend in Benin run what is commonly called a Business Center. Nothing much, just a few copiers, about 10 computers, 2 printers, a scanner, two good digital cameras for passport photographs, etc. You get the drift. He manages the day to day running of the business, since I reside in Lagos. But once a year I go to Benin and spend a couple of weeks there. And whenever I am in Benin, I usually spend some time with him at the shop. In my last but one visit to Benin, I was at the shop with him when a beautiful young lady in her NYSC Khaki pants came in. She needed to work on her CV. The two employees we have working for us are just Senior School Certificate holders, so we just pointed to one of the computer systems for her to use by herself. To my utter disdain she knew nothing about Microsoft Word. Maybe she is only used to Excel, but I doubt that too. It was one of our employees that ended up working on the CV for her. But she had in her hands one of the higher classes of Blackberry. Of course the lower classes are for guys.

I worship in a church where there are over 20,000 regular members. My church seats over 5,000 people per service and holds 4 services every Sunday. And this number does not include children who have a different building. It’s one of the new generation churches. Once in a while corporate trainings are held so members can develop themselves. These trainings are not free but very cheap. As low as N7,000. There was even one that was for N2,500, but the training materials was like N5,000 which was optional. One would expect that for a new generation church where everything from religion to business is being taught there will be a mad rush for such trainings. You will be surprised to know that for some of these trainings only 700 people participate out of over 20,000 members. And these are trainings that go for as high as N100,000 in the corporate world. But why should I spend N5,000 for a training when I can get some good time with my babe in a fast food restaurant with some cups of ice cream?

I advice the young ladies, I am focusing on you because you are at the frontline of the receiving end of the ills of the society. I advice the young ladies, there is more to life than “my boyfriend dresses well and smells good. Hmm! I am so in love with him.” It’s high time you started asking the right questions. How much of his budget does he invest on Personal Development? How many books did he buy in the last six months? How many has he read? What did he learn? When was the last time he spent his own money, not the company’s, to attend a training session for himself. You need to have an answer for these questions because perfumes never made any marriage work. Any marriage where the woman has a flare for personal development and the man does not, can never be a happy one. Just listen to one episode of Real Life issues aired on Inspiration FM 92.3 in Lagos if you doubt me.

If you, referring to the young ladies, would follow through on the advice given on the previous paragraph, I promise you, many of you will be shocked to discover that that guy you’ve been kissing for more than a year now, has not bought a single book in the last one year. That means all he knows now is still the same things he knew like 3 or 5 yrs ago. Except maybe that Jonathan did not have any shoes. I have met guys who never bought a book in the last 5yrs but never failed to renew their DSTV subscription. And when you are the type that wants to spend your Saturdays attending seminars and your husband sits at home to watch football, then trouble is brewing. Why not nip it in the bud now? It may hurt but you will be saving yourself a lifetime of pain.

From my personal projections based on the number of people that have enrolled for the April session of School for Personal Leadership, for the first time in three sessions ladies will outnumber guys by a long pole. And this is a trend that is beginning to show all over the world, especially among the black race. In the United States today, the ratio of educated black girls to guys in the corporate world is about 3:1. There are not enough good guys to go around anymore so sex is now being used as a weapon to keep the few good black guys. The crave for pleasure in the Rap industry is causing a lot of young black brothers to drop out of schools while those ladies in bra and G-strings dancing in the music videos are attending night classes to further their education.

Am I going to continue to see this kind of trend in the School for Personal Leadership that current projection is indicating? More ladies interested in Personal Development than guys? Are guys only interested in buying Blackberrys for the ladies so they can at least get some sex in exchange for it? But I want us all to have a rethink. The problem with the world today is not just pain as we know it. It is pleasure. The pain of pleasure is far worse than any other kind of pain you can think of.

I want to encourage you. If you are the type that has never seen the need to invest in Personal Development, begin with School for Personal Leadership. It holds right on Facebook, completely flexible, you go into the online classroom when it is most convenient for you. You get to meet people from different fields, different states of the nation, and residing in different countries. It is awesome. Come spend some time with other people who have a desire to make a difference in their lives and in the lives of others. Come and learn principles that will change your life forever. All you have to do is to first add me as friend on facebook then send a text in the following format, WSPL*SURNAME*FIRST NAME*SEX*STATE OF RESIDENCE (If in Nigeria) or COUNTRY (If outside Nigeria)*EMAIL ADDRESS*PHONE NUMBER to +234-803-874-9796. I have been misunderstood. If i say God makes alive. God is good. God is awesome.God is love. I will be regarded as a good christian, but now, i say God is a killer, i am now called an atheists or an unbeliever. I believe that all the wonderful defnitions about God is a common knowledge. What we need to know is that the same God that can raise the dead also has the power to kill. God is a merciful God, God is a God of judgement. He will surely Judge YOU. You can escape it. The judgement of God may seem not to be coming, it may be slow, but surely, the judgement is sure. The truth is that the way God does it may be misunderstood by many people even to his servant the prophet.

Besides, i did not write the Bible, i am only confirming the scripture, it may not be my best defnition but it is the truth.

God has been good to me. I dare not speak against him, not even his servant(MOG) infact, i detest any thread on nairaland for bashing men of God. It is against my christian principles. I prefer to encourage men of God, and also pray for them. I know what it takes to be a leader. It takes the grace of God to lead a church.

The bottomline is that we must not only Know God from one side and neglect the other side of him.

If what i have done is a sin for calling God a killer, i sincerely ask for forgiveness from God. May God forgive me. Amen.

I am also using this opportunity to apologize to my fellow christians on nairaland that consider my defnition as a way of bashing christianity. No! I will never do that, i am only confirming the truth about the other side of God.

God is unimaginable.

God bless you all.
only illiterates do so . . if u really understand how an ATM works, then you would be wasting ur energy counting,
the machine has a sensor that pushes each bill into the dispatch tray, one bill at a time
another infra-red sensor scans each bill for thickness. this means if two bills are stuck together, it would not come out
rather it would pass into a reject bin. any bill that is badly torn is also passed into the reject bin
it does this so perfectly, it could never go wrong.
the only mistake an ATM could do, is debiting your account without paying
and it's not the machine's fault. it's caused by a timeout in network while transmitting banking messages from the machine to the relay server.
Christianity EtcHow An Anointed Music Is Connected To Divine Ministration by God2man(op): 7:26pm On Aug 03, 2012
2 chronicles 5: 13-14 " it came to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instrument of musick, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord;
So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God."

1 Samuel 16:23 " And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

2king 3: 15 " But now bring me a ministrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him."

Mattew 26:30 " And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of olives"

Acts 2:2 " And suddenly there came a SOUND from heaven as of a RUSHING MIGHTY WIND, and it filled all the house where they were sitting"

Act 16: 25-26" And at midnight Paul and silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed"

The first thing to know is that everything about human being is music, from head to toe, a man is a musician. You can clap, sing, make noise or shout, you can even stamp your feet on the groud to make a sound. Therefore, with perfect coordination everything will begin to produce wonderful sounds. God has made human beings complete instruments of music. It will even become more powerful when you add any musical instruments to your so called "Acapella".

Now, what is music? Music is a series of sounds arranged in a particular order for a specific measurement and direction to produce something wonderful to hear. It is an aggreable sound that is harmonious to hear. It is an expression of human emotion. It could be an expression of Joy or sorrow. Music may be vocal, it may also be instrumental. The first musician in the Bible was Jubal, Genesis 4:21. He used the harp. There are various kinds of insruments; guitar, tambourine or timbrel, violin, trumpet, horn, bell, cymbal, piano, flute, and so on. Tones in music are alto, tenor, bass and soprano.
David was a man after God's heart because he understood the mystery behind spiritual songs, in 1 chronicle 25:7 there were 288 skilled musicians and singers. Why? Psalms 22:3b; God inhabits the praises of his people. This is why David had a chain of songs. My best book in the Bible is still the book of psalms, everything about God is hidden in the book of psalms, just name it, holiness, power, praises, annointing, repentance, protection, warfare prayers and so on.

There are various examples of God's servant that used anointed music, i will only give King Jehoshaphat 2 chronicles 20:21-23" And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever.
And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten."

In heaven, angels of the Lord worship continually in songs. Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. Issaiah 6:3b.

Anointed music can connect you to heaven, it will help you to hear divine voices. Spiritual songs can open the gate of heaven for you and bring the presence of God upon your life.

When i got married, we had a miscarriage. It was discouraging, but we sang praises to God for one hour, worshiping him with hyms and spiritual songs, at night i got a ministration from the Lord, i saw a man in white, he said; REJECT IT SEVENTY TIMES, and that was the end of the battle.

What i am writing here is to let you know that God inhabits the praises of his people and that prophetic words are released from heaven when you engage in an aggresive praise to the Lord.
Issaiah 2 :3 " Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation."

Are you thinking of giving up your faith? Engage yourself in singing spiritual songs.

See, Ephesian 5:18-19" And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the spirit;
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord."

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

The Lord is good.

God bless you.

Christianity EtcRe: What Is Your Own Biblical Definition Of God? by God2man(op): 5:29pm On Aug 03, 2012
My own Biblical definition of God can be found in Deuteronomy 32: 39 - 42
" See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I KILL, and I make ALIVE; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.
If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgement; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.
I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy."

The truth is, GOD IS A KILLER.

Hebrew 12:31 " It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God"

God bless you.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Resume Tips and More. . . . by God2man(m): 11:43am On Aug 03, 2012
Are you frustrated because you've applied for dozens of jobs online and haven't heard back?

This is probably one of the most common frustrations of job seekers.

What can you do? Differentiate yourself from the hundreds of other job seekers.

Here are four ways to be that stand-out applicant:

1) Adapt your resume and cover letter. Take the time to adapt your resume to address the requirements of the job posting.

First look at the job posting and carefully analyze what they are looking for. Underline key skills sets, technical terms, and technology mentioned in the posting. Have you used these specific words in your summary of qualifications? Do you incorporate them in the accomplishment bullets under each job? Have you included them within your resume's technology section? Use the same underlined words and phrases in your cover letter and, most importantly, make sure you explain why you're interested in working for that company.

Your final step is to ask yourself this: can the employer clearly see (without having to think) how your experience relates to the job? This sounds like a lot of work, but once you get the hang of it, the process gets easier and faster.

And honestly, are any two job descriptions exactly the same? Why would you think you could use a single, unmodified version of your resume?

2) Take ownership. Stop waiting. Take action. If the jobs you applied for are truly of interest, then it is worth your time and effort to follow up with an email or phone call. Be sure you follow the instructions--for example, if the ad said, "No calls please," that means you shouldn't call. It is up to you (for your sanity) to find out the status of the job opening. When you do make contact or before you leave the interview, always ask what the next steps are and when you can follow up. You shouldn't have to, but the reality is, if you want an answer, you will need to. A very general rule of thumb is to follow up weekly, but ask the question to know for sure. We can't change other people's behavior, we can only change our own. Be systematic and persistent.

No news is NOT necessarily bad news. Companies don't keep applicants waiting purposely. There may be many valid reasons why they haven't contacted you yet: time lines slip, priorities switch, and sometimes financial situations change. Instead of assuming the company has filled the position or is not interested in you, follow up persistently and regularly and be sure to ask when you should follow up again. If you haven't already identified someone within the company, see the next point to understand why that is important. If it is a company or job you are interested in, don't give up.

3. Find an insider. Reach out to everyone you know and find someone who works for the company with the posted opening. When you find someone, ask them if they know about the job, its status, and who they might recommend you speak with to find out more. A company insider could potentially forward your resume along as a referral. They could also become a source of information for the status of the hiring process and let you know what is going on.

You might be able to find names of people to contact on the company website, on LinkedIn, the company's blog, in press releases and newsletters, or on Twitter. People want to help if they can, but remember to be polite and respectful because you will need them to be an advocate for you or perhaps an informant.

4. Don't be a victim. Sure the employer has what you want...a job. But, that doesn't mean they have all the control. Think about what you can do to feel empowered. Take control of what you can. By taking action, at least you will know that you did EVERYTHING possible.

Article Here

Number 2 is one I always stress for job seekers. Don't wait, take action. . .especially after an interview. Send a Thank you for interviewing with me letter where you stress how after the interview, you are sure now more than ever that you are capable of doing the job. People (at least normal people) always respond well to POLITENESS.

During the interview. . . you make sure you find someone you can form a rapport with, so when you reach out to them a few days/weeks later it won't be just out of the blue.

I believe the biggest misconception about jobs and interviews is that the EMPLOYERS hold all the cards, if they did. . .they won't be looking for someone. So never approach the interviewer or anyone in the company hat in hand, like you are begging for something. You have a skill they need and ya darn well should be respected for it. I see people so desperate for jobs, they let the mai guards ride roughshod over them. Whaaaaaat? angry angry.

If you don't have confidence in yourself, how can you sell yourself? I'm not saying stroll in their all arrogant and whatnot, just saying be confident because you know you can do what they want.

Another thing most people don't know is that the interview process is A TWO WAY STREET, you are allowed to ask questions too (not about salary and bonuses oh) but questions like how long have you worked here, why do you like it? What the corporate culture like. . .SHOW INTEREST IN THE JOB AND THE COMPANY. Some people get in there and say nothing, just waiting patiently to be asked questions, they can answer to and most of the time it is yes and no answers. Ughhhh!!!

Let me let you in on a secret - THE INTERVIEWER IS ALSO AS NERVOUS AS YOU ARE! People think it is easy knowing what you are the final say on whether someone gets a job or not. It is nerve wrecking and helping to put the interviewer at ease by being personable GOES A LONG WAY but don't over do it. I've seen guys walk into an interview room and think because the interviewer is female, they can be all flirty. . .some to the point of being condescending. BIG, HUGE MISTAKE! cheesy cheesy

For ladies, don't get in there and start pulling a Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct like moves with your legs. . .sure you might get the job but you just might hafta spend half of the time doing it on your knees. . . lipsrsealed (and I swear to God, if anyone makes a comment about knowing from experienc, I will. . .I will. . .okay, I don't know what I will do yet but I will do something. cheesy . The OP: The Religion section is the way to go. Its the only section where you gotta prove everything you say e.g. Bible Quote , Quranic Quote , and for Atheists - Scientific Quotes.

Beware it's no place for a man of little faith, you could get your faith ripped apart.

Is Your Condition the Worse, Look at
Mine. If you are poor then someone else is
heavily in debt. If you don't have a car
then someone else doesn't have two
legs. If you are ill, then someone else
has been bedridden for years. If you
have lost a parent then someone else has lost both parents in a single
accident. Today before you say an unkind word
- Think of someone who can't speak,
Think of someone who have to use a
sign language to tell his family he love
them. Before you complain about the
taste of your food - Think of someone who has nothing to eat. When you're
frustrated because you can not decide
what food you should cook, remember
that there is a mother in Somalia who
can not decide which of her children
she should give the little food she has while the other left to die.
Before you complain about your
husband or wife - Think of someone
who's crying out to GOD for a
companion. Today before you
complain about life - Think about someone who died too early on this
earth, someone, somewhere really wish
to be in your position (Your present
condition is someone else prayer point,
think!) Before you complain about your
children - Think of someone who desires children but they're barren.
Before you argue about your dity
house, someone didn't clean or sweep
- Think of the people who are living in
the streets.
Before whining about the distance you drive - Think of someone who walks
the same distance with their feet.
And when you are tired and complain
about your job - Think of the
unemployed, the disabled, and those
who wished they had your job. Before you think of pointing that finger
or condemning another - Remember
that not one of us is without sin. And
when depressing thoughts seem to get
you down - Put a smile on your face
and think: You're alive and still around. Our God Is Alive, Forever.
Help spread the word,
You might touch a heart somewhere. Evangelise as if the whole world is yours to cover.
Be moved by the word to save the stray.

Car TalkRe: Buying A Car: 12 Mistakes To Avoid by God2man(m): 6:36am On Aug 01, 2012
Dizzybizzy: BY OKECHUKWU NNODIM

A car is an important aspect of life, and most people want a vehicle that is reliable,
comfortable, and maybe even a bit stylish. The vehicle choices are almost endless, so finding the right combination of wants and needs with an affordable price tag can be challenging.
Below are 12 mistakes to avoid when buying a car:

Mistake 1: Not doing your homework
The Internet has democratised the car-buying process. Now, anyone can get access to facts and figures about vehicles, features, pricing and financing. There’s no reason to step foot in a dealership without having first researched vehicles and their competitors. (Forbes.com)

Mistake 2: Choosing the wrong car for your needs
With all of the choices available on the dealer’s lot, you have to have a very good idea of how you need to use your car so that you can find a car that suits your needs. How often will you really carry seven passengers in that big SUV? Don’t saddle yourself with a car that only suits occasional needs — you’ll do better matching your general needs, and renting a vehicle for the special occasions, like family road trips. (Forbes.com)

Mistake 3: Skimping on the test-drive
Many car buyers fail to spend enough time behind the wheel to really get familiar with a vehicle’s performance and features. A thorough test drive
should include a wide range of conditions, including bumpy back streets and smooth highways. The time to discover that your car is noisy and harsh at 65 miles per hour is not after you’ve already taken delivery. (Forbes.com)

Mistake 4: Buying new when used would do
A vehicle is not an investment. Local car dealers say that vehicles depreciate in value quickly, so when you buy a new vehicle, you can expect it to continuously decrease in value. Every potential new car buyer should consider used vehicles before buying. Certified Pre-Owned programs by many of the manufacturers have raised the bar for used cars. Most include a detailed vehicle inspection and refreshing, along with an extension of the new car powertrain warranty that might run up to seven years/100,000miles. Used car financing is cheaper than ever before – in many cases competitive with new car financing.

Mistake 5: Succumbing to feature creep
“Feature Creep” is when added optional features suddenly become necessities the longer the car-buying process goes on. A buyer who enters the process convinced that the stock radio is sufficient finds that only the latest surround sound/factory navigation system will do, and that leather seats are a necessity. Make a list of the features that you absolutely must have, and don’t allow new features to creep onto your list unless they are within your budget. (Forbes.com)

Mistake 6: Rushing to buy
Cars are commodities, and there will always be another one coming down the road. This much is certain. So don’t rush into the purchasing decision.
Take your time, even if it means that you have to rent a car for a few weeks in order to bridge the gap between your old car and your new one. Car dealers love buyers who are in a hurry — it shifts the negotiating leverage toward the dealer because the buyer is much less likely to walk away without making a deal. (Forbes.com)

Mistake 7: Blowing the budget
You’ve done your research. You’ve arranged for financing. You’ve assessed your needs. Then, you go to the dealership and get talked into a car that
costs way more than you’ve budgeted for. Stick to your budget, make sure that you can afford the car that you’re buying, and avoid buyer’s remorse. (Forbes.com)

Mistake 8: Failure to pre-shop for financing
Once the dealer’s F&I (Finance and Insurance) guy gets his hands on you, the opportunity for mistakes escalates. If you haven’t taken the time to pre-shop for financing at your personal bank or credit union before you step into the dealership, you are ripe to be pushed into financing that profits the dealer more than it helps you pay off your debt. Know how
much you qualify for, and what interest rates you can get on your own. Better yet, arrive at the dealership with a loan pre-approval in hand. Then,
you will be in a position tow assess the offer that the F&I guy slides across the desk. (Forbes.com)

Mistake 9: Trading in your old car
This is a big mistake that will always cost you money. Even if you owe money on your old car, you’ll do better selling it on your own, or even selling it to a dealer, if you don’t get involved in the trade-in process. Trading in your old car gives the dealer one more opportunity to profit on your convenience, and a chance to muddy the waters on the details of your new car purchase. (Forbes.com)

Mistake 10: Focusing on the payment
The most important part of the financial transaction is the purchase price. When you focus on the payment, you’re leaving yourself open to getting
locked in to loan terms that are not as good as you might qualify for. You may get that N50,000 per month payment, but you may wind up paying
an inflated percentage rate for a longer term than you hoped. (Forbes.com)

Mistake 11: Leasing instead of buying
Leasing makes sense for a lot of buyers, however, it advisable that you only lease after consulting your accountant to make sure that you are a candidate for tax benefits — very few of us are. (Forbes.com)

Mistake 12: Not taking into consideration other costs
The actual cost of the vehicle is important, but what is often overlooked are all of the hidden long-term maintenance and insurance costs that go along with a vehicle. Keep in mind that car insurance premiums typically increase with the value of a vehicle, so buying a more expensive vehicle will increase your annual insurance costs. This can amount to thousands, if not millions of naira per year. (About.com)

This is a serious problem. A serious problem reqiures serious prayer. A mysterious problem is begging for mysterious prayer. Deep problem is demanding for deep prayer. Only deep can call to the deep. You need to go for deliverance prayers. Pray that God should deliver you from the blood battle. You need deliverance from the blood. Anything can happen after the prayer.

The Lord will see you through. Amen.

FamilyRe: Minor Acts That Cause Damage In Marriages. by God2man(m): 12:18pm On Jul 29, 2012
acidtalk: LITTLE ATTITUDES THAT CREATE BIG PROBLMS IN HOMES.

Marriage is a union mostly within two people from absolutely opposite backgrounds.

Statistics have shown that most problems in married homes are usually very trivial and avoidable acts which if well checked, could have been avoided.

People have gone to court to seek for divorce for the flimsiest of reasons.

Below are some of the acts both men and women need to check to enable a happy and non tensed home front.

* Getting up from the bed without bothering to lay it.

* Leaving items liter around the living room and bed room.

*Not agreeing to if the toilet seat should be kept down or up.

*Refusing to take food from the bottom of pot.

* Refusing to eat the top of a sliced bread even when you tore the wrapper open.

* Chatting or Playing with your phone, laptop, tablet, reading a book or watching tv while your spouse is saying or complaining of something important.

* Walking out on your spouse while he/she is complaining of what is hurting them.

*Refusing to eat a food if there's no meat, fish or egg decorated on it.

* Refusing to flush the WC after using the rest room.

* Refusing to mop the floor after littering water all over the floor after having a bath.

* Piling up dishes in the sink.

* Not turning off the electronics while going to bed or leaving the house.

* Too pompous to use the words "thank you, I am sorry, Please".

* throwing used diapers around instead of disposing them properly.

* Buying luxury items without prior consent of your partner.

* Thinking you don't owe your partner an explanation for coming home late or leaving the house at whatever time you want.

* Going through your partners items (phones, laptops, pockets, hand bags etc) all for the sole aim of catching them cheating.

* Always eavesdropping on your partners phone and physical conversation with family, friends, colleagues, neighbors and strangers.

* Waking your partner from their sleep only to complain about events that happened during the day.

At least one of the above listed is a major cause while a marriage is about to get disolved aside major reasons like infidelity, Finance, and Family interferance.

Goddys: Without stretching further, let me go to the event that led to his deliverance. He testified that as a result of the assurance he received from the priest on the 'awesome' power of their gods Orile,he attended any Church he desires without reservation, until the day he attended a programme at The Lord's Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement. He revealed to the congregation that on that very day, when the General Overseer was praying and conducting deliverance on the congregation, his body began to vibrate, and he felt intense hotness all over his body.Within the period of prayer, according to him,his phone began to ring ceaselessly, but he ignored it, and seeing that the gravity and force of the prayer was too intense and debilitating to him,he left the church before the conclusion of the prayer. When he checked his handset,he saw that it was the priest ringing him for about twenty-two times. When he eventually called the priest on phone, the latter lambasted him and inquired from him where he went, that their entire kingdom was in chaos. The words of the priest according to him,was that 'The Mountain is on Fire'.
When he eventually met the priest,he told him that Orile was very angry with him for going to the above Church, and gave him three days to die for causing such a colossal destruction to their kingdom. The testifier revealed that he tried to defend his action based on the Priest's words, that he could go to any church he so desired, but all his defence were to no avail.
According to him,on the night of that very day as he was sleeping,a being so bright and sparkling, with an unspotted white gown, walking on the air, told him in his sleeping state to go to The Lord's Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement and expose Ogboni cult, that he shall be protected from the powerless power of Ogboni Cult in the day and in the night.
On another occasion, according to him, same angel of God appear to him and gave him a Cassette Disc and a Bible, and told him that his ministry is to disseminate this confession and exposure of Ogboni cult's antics and the awesome Power of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Goddys: The Priest intimated him on how one can acquire enormous power in their kingdom. He disclosed that it is by sleeping with many different women. The priest words, according to him was 'If you can sleep with 20-30 different women in a day,you will be very powerful'.He revealed that this is the main reason why most of their members sleep around, even when they have a pretty and good wife at home.He also disclosed that once they sleep with any woman, the woman's star is spiritually transferred to them. The act would bring abject impoverishment to the woman, while they continue to blossom and prosper. He exposed that the fraternity holds their gathering on the 9th of every month, and their symbols are triple one(111) and a watching eyes.He said it can be mainly seen on a car of some members and in their offices. He disclosed to the congregation the symbols they display to identify their members in the position of power e.g Judges,D.P.O,politicians etc.To be continued,

Goddys: Orile intimated him that the goats were the souls of all Ogboni members living in the world. That once anybody get initiated, that such person has willing sacrifice his or her soul to him,and that soul will be spiritually taken from him or her,and an evil spirit from the kingdom will be projected to inhabit the body. After the encounter,he woke up and narrated the ordeal to the priest, and the latter congratulated him,and promoted him from level 200 to level 500,because he had a direct contact with their gods, and this new level, according to him, qualified him as a seer to other members of the sect, which the priest intimated him to be effected this year before he encountered Jesus Christ.
