RomanceRe: Funny Marriage Proposal by godana(f): 9:21pm On Mar 12, 2008
Scopium:
Which is better a carefully planned and dramatized proposal which ends in a broken marriage or an unorthodox proposal which ends with And they all lived happily ever after Just because gifts or desires are not packaged they way you want it don't make them worthless. Somebody you've been with for fours years, you should know or at least anticipate what he's capable of doing
Thank u Scopium, I think people spend so much time planning a wedding ceremony than the marriage itself.
Marriage is more than flowers and all these romantic shenanigans we worry about.
So far u have spoken well and I think everyone should learn from your post.
RomanceRe: Funny Marriage Proposal by godana(f): 9:06pm On Mar 12, 2008
@Almondjoy.

AJ my sis, God bless u too much. 4 once let the ladies face reality. U see all this Romeo and Juliet stuff no dey work for the oyibo's again how much more with African man.
As long as the bobo is a Nigerian 4get the way and manner of his proposal. The final be say the guy say im go marry. chikena!!!!!

I know of people who got the most romantic proposals and the next day the guy took off.
As far as i am concerned proposal na proposal, the overall matter is , just show up on the wedding day.
Poster! tell your friend to quickly go and get her man. At least he was honest enough to say how he feels, who knows if the guy had to choose her out of seven other girls. Yoruba people always says! 'OMO MA Shako Jiya.

BusinessRe: "You Can't Ban Spraying, It's Our Culture" - KSA To Soludo by godana(f): 7:58pm On Feb 21, 2008
lets all face reality. We were born into this culture which nigerians are known 4 all over. I understand that most people wouldn't go out there and spray money at parties, I dnt do it either. But the story is at one time in our lives we have all been involved in this culture especially when there's something good to celebrate with family members.
Even professor's spray their kids at weddings or any other notable occassion.

Imagine saying to your family dnt spray money on me on my special day.
As 4 the issue of poverty. As long as heaven and earth continue to exist, there will always be poor people.
Poverty does not affect people in nigeria only. We have poor people all over the world. Even the so called developed countries have some serious peoverty situation that u guys won't believe.
So i suggest our leaders should place their energy on more pressing issues.

Even poor people spray money when there is need 4 it on special occassions.

RomanceRe: Can You Marry A Prostitute? by godana(f): 9:34pm On Jan 31, 2008
lets not forget that most of our university graduates (girls) are more or less ex prostitutes.
And i hear this days if a woman no get degree na close chapter 4 marriage area.

How about the fact some banks employs ladies and expects them to meet up to a given target regarding business.
some of this ladies use bottom power in acquiring large business deals.

Any ho.

Some of this ex-uni babes are married now o. Na who marry them? no be person?
what u dnt know won't hurt u.

It's easy to judge the opio wey dey do her own openly.
RomanceRe: My Girlfriend Wants A Blood Covenant by godana(f): 8:57pm On Jan 31, 2008
Bro please dnt involve yourself o. The after effect is death.

By the way true love should be unconditional that is to say u havn't found love yet.
RomanceRe: What Do You Enjoy Most About Being Single? by godana(f): 8:49pm On Jan 31, 2008
LAWYER,

I'll suggest u let this whole shenanigan about being single postings go 4 now. Going by past and present postings i must say everyone really had it tough.
I took time to read most of the postings and i must confess they are quite heavy.
Dnt blame people for reacting the way they did cos u of all people should understand how one behaves when u feel u need to get back at people.

As 4 the issue of trust, truthfully they say once bitten twice shy that life 4 u.
u definitely can't trust people all the time but u sure can sometimes depending on the situation.
with your state of mind I'd say it's gonna be very difficult 4 u to get to that level but hope is not lost.
Trust is possible but u need to put a lot of time into it, that is to say it just don't happen like that.
The ability to trust is like growing up, each year is added to make a large number and when u reach there u will know.
Trust is something the other person earns which involves a lot of sacrifice coming from both ways.

Take or leave it, we all have someone we trust except only if they do wrong then the trust go away.
The word trust is very delicate.
In this days of modernisation people have deviated from that aspect of life so u see your decision to trust remains with u and the choice of whom to trust lies with u as well.

Finally my bro. U have no choice than to make peace with your inner mind, remove whatever bitterness u have passed through before cos for every win someone has to fail. if you get hurt sometimes it doesn't matter cos someone might have fallen for u to rise as well I guess God uses our hurts to balance up cases where people fall for u to rise.
That's just the Irony of life.
cheers.
RomanceRe: What Do You Enjoy Most About Being Single? by godana(f): 1:46am On Jan 31, 2008
LAWYER.

now u're talking.

Ur story reminds me of myself. guys have treated me so bad you'll think the devil actually assigned them to finish me.
It got so bad that I was abandoned at the hospital with a six months premature baby who later survived and till date her dad has never looked back.

At some point i tried to be mean but i just can't be someone else. I guess guys really prefers the nasty girls cos when u later find out who they left u for, bro u go just wonder.

Like i said earlier on tender justice with mercy cos while u are paying less attention the good ones might just pass u by.
there is someone 4 everyone, those one who hurt u are not right 4 u. trust me when the right one comes she will stay with u and your life and opinion will change as well.

am not going to mandate you to forget the past but please try and bend a Little.

My advise to u is that u should just relax with your new girl. Dnt expect too much from her and dnt go looking for her to make mistakes all the time cos it's inevitable mistakes must come.
No one is perfect. Give this relationship a chance even if it doesn't work out, settle it amicably.

No man is an island o, everyone needs somebody sometime.

fa baby e mora.
RomanceRe: What Do You Enjoy Most About Being Single? by godana(f): 12:49am On Jan 31, 2008
LAWYER. I KNOW WHAT U MEAN.

I DNT TNK PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT U ARE AVAILABLE FOR SUGGESTIONS.
I KNOW WHERE U ARE COMING FROM AND TRUST ME EVERYONE FEELS THAT WAY AT ONE POINT IN ONE'S LIFE.
I DNT THINK U ARE A BAD PERSON, BUT RATHER I'D SAY DNT ALLOW YOUR PERSONAL FEELING CLOUD YOUR GOOD ABILITY TO REASON WITH MERCY.

TO TELL U THE TRUTH MY EXPERIENCE WITH MEN HASN'T BEEN FAIR SO FAR BUT THEN WE ALL KNOW LIFE ITSELF IS UNFAIR, AND AT SOME POINT IN OUR LIVES WE ALL GOT TO PLAY THE FOOL.
I AM KEEPING MY OPTIONS OPEN WHILE BEING VERY CAREFUL NOT TO GET HURT AGAIN.

MY ADVICE TO U IS GIVE YOUR SELF TIME AND YOU'LL COME AROUND. AS FOR BEING SINGLE, ENJOY IT WITH DIGNITY.

THINGS WILL ALWAYS SORT ITSELF OUT U'LL SEE.

RomanceRe: I'm In Love With An Ogbanje by godana(f): 10:21pm On Jan 29, 2008
This ogbanje issue is a mystery on its own. there's this uncle of mine whose toes appeared to have funny fish like bite marks all around it which makes some of his toes appear shapeless.
My mum told me my uncle used to be an Ogbanje/abiku and his parents decided to throw his dead body in the river after they gave birth to him for the third time.

My mum said his mum gave birth to the same baby but with fresh wound and fish bite marks on his face and his toes almost completely eaten. And after then he stayed and they had kids later on.

The argument that ogbanje/abiku maybe Sickell cell is questionable because all ogbanje cases, are repetition of birth and the children always return int the same sex with the same features to the same parents, biologically we all know that children of the same parent may have a family resemblance but with different features.

we also hear of cases where this ogbanje kids attends meetings even while they are sleeping and some even tell their parents when they have chosen to die.

Lets not just agree that the presence of religion, prayer and people accepting the worship of the true and living God has over powered these evil stuffs, that's why we see very little cases these days.

Regardless of our modern belief that nothing like that exists. Maybe if we learn more about the journey of the African man we would find out so many mystery's that could send shivers down your feet.

I am presently reading a book by Mathew Ashimolowo titled:

WHAT IS WRONG ABOUT BEING BLACK. u can buy one at any bookstore near u.
RomanceRe: Are Nigerian Girls Humourous? by godana(f): 8:54pm On Jan 29, 2008
old boy leave that side, where did u hear that from ? as a true daughter of the soil of Nigeria i dare to trowey one joke to u and i hope say you catch am.

Emeka a rich spare part dealer took his high class undergraduate girl friend to a nice restaurant, and this is what happened.

Emeka called out to the restaurant waiter.

When the waiter arrived.

Emeka: Darling meet waiter., Waiter meet darling., Darling now order.

Girl friend: hmm can i have chicken and chips please.

Emeka: oooh all this ragos gals sef. Darling dnt eat chicken eat fowl the mother of chicken.

Having a good sense of humore comes naturally, not being able to crack a joke doesn't mean u shouldn't enjoy when the other party say something funny.

Guys just don't hang out with girls who are up-tight and so rigid. 4 me my number attraction to a man is when he makes me love together with all the u know.

RomanceRe: Is It A Crime For Girls To Express Their Feelings? by godana(f): 11:13pm On Jan 10, 2008
Does it really matters who expresses their feelings first? It's just that our Nigerian bobos
allows their personal feeling destroy their sense of reasoning.
As long as the feeling is genuine and both parties wants it, whats the big deal?
It's just that It hurts so much when a girl lets down her pride by going all the way to show she cares and end up being made a big fool.

I belief everyone plays the fool sometimes and there is no exception.

4 me the fear being rejected won't allow me take such step.
