Can someone please help me tell David Moyes that Fellaini is a useless leg for the kind of game we play at United?

***In other news, ASUU is likely gonna call off their season of madness in the next 48 hours. That is if the info from an insider at d presidency is anything to go by. wink

uobot: hello house, is it advisable to go for post Baccalaureate in the states? wat are my chances of a 26yrs getting a visa for that? cos my Bsc cgpa was too low to do masters direct. and do i need to write GRE or SAT in addition to toefl? i dont wanna waste my time and money with this usa embassy people wahala.

pls advice
smiley Your questions have been begging for answers since.

Well, I think BigFrancis said something on this few pages back. Your age isn't really too good for such but it is not impossible if you can convince the VO beyond any possible doubt. But please, is ur CGPA that low? The reason for my question is that if probably your last 4 semesters in school were good, you could be admitted into some masters program. It would be good if you let the ogas here know much about your academic background.

Yes. You will need to write any or both of the standardized tests if they are parts of your schools admission requirement. Also, experiences of people over time have suggested that it pays to write at least a test for the sake of the embassy.

On the whole, I think it all boils down to how finely packaged you and your application documents are. You will be fine. Do your homework very well. Bless you, sir.

Saw this and I thought it worth sharing: Jonathan to meet ASUU November 4
*Universities may re-open next week
REPORT BY SCAN NEWS
PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN
Scan-News can authoritatively reveal that in
a last ditch effort to resolve the ASUU strike,
President Goodluck Jonathan will on
Monday, November 4, meet with the
leadership of ASUU at the Presidential Villa.
This was part of the resolutions of the
meeting between the ASUU leadership, Vice
President Namadi Sambo and the
Supervising Minister of Education on
Tuesday as was first reported by this
medium.
An official of the Vice President’s office who
pleaded anonymity told Scan News that all
hands are now on deck to ensure that the
universities resume next week.
The official stated that the Vice President
and the Supervising Minister of Education
have made head-way in resolving the strike,
but the final involvement of the President is
to show ASUU that there is the commitment
of the Federal Government at the highest
level.
It was learnt that the President has been
fully briefed on steps taken by Vice President
Namadi Sambo and the Supervising Minister
of Education to get to this point.
It was learnt that the President will at next
Monday’s meeting present to the ASUU
leadership the administration’s last
concession for them to call off the prolonged
strike.
A source at the Presidential Villa noted that
if ASUU fails to call off, the Federal
Government will then resort to plan B, which
will be to compulsorily open the universities,
using the instrumentality of the governing
councils and the school managements.
Already, most of the governing councils of
the universities have started meeting to
work out modalities for the compulsory re-
opening of the universities should ASUU fail
to honour the personal request of President
Jonathan.
Scan News gathered that the Supervising
Minister of Education, Barr. Nyesom Wike
and the Vice Chancellors of Public
Universities also discussed the re-opening of
the schools last Monday. Most of the Vice
Chancellors suggested the compulsory re-
opening of the schools, should the last ditch
efforts fail.
It was gathered that security report available
to the Presidency may have necessitated this
line of action to salvage the universities
system from the direction it is facing at
present.

Amefrica: When my number flashed, I walked up to the man. I already saw my docs on his desk/table.
I was expecting normal stuff like "why are you going to the US?" etc

VO- Why did you choose SMSU?
Me- the school has a well structured curriculum and it aligns with my career aspirations.
VO- What are your career aspirations?
Me- It's my wish to become a minister, recently d former minister of foreign affairs Ambassador Olugbenga Ashiru was sacked because of incompetency, and the minister of aviation bought 255m naira cars recently. I'm one of the changes Nigeria needs.
Lord Jesus!!! Yet, my prayers got no answer.
Dear Amefrica,
Please, like never before, hurt your knees in your closet of prayer. Be strong and courageous. The plans He has for you are of good and not evil. Meanwhile, get these songs: Darmien Marley's "Only The Strong Continues" and Miley Cyrus' "The Climb". Hakuna Matata.

Well, if you can register yourself, PLEASE DO. Agents will only feed fat of your money. Schools that offer scholarships? Ace your SAT and be a friend of Google. For me, forget about scholarship now. Register for SAT, ACE it and start talking about scholarship.

UNIXLover: Hello fam,
Thanks for the helps u guys are offering here.

Quick One,I just discovered that the school i am applying to requires WES evaluation of my transcript. How long does it take WES to evaluate transcript? how much am i paying to WES? How do i get my transcript to WES?

Thanks guys
Sorry about that. The whole process depends on your school and some other factors. Minimum of 2 weeks and maximum of forever. So if your school is an efficient type unlike mine, it could last 2wks. I think you pay $200 for course by course evaluation. Getting your Transcript to them could be via regular mail, registered mail or courier services. I suggest you go with the later 2. If you are looking at speeding the process up, try and sit on their neck in your school"s Exams and Records Unit and be a good boy to them - speak their language.

NB: NEVER EVER forget sending your Degree Certificate (Photocopied). As I have read, someone made that mistake in the early days of this thread and the consequence was a 'mild' delay. Do well by checking WES' website. Folks that have had the experience will speak more on this, sir. God's best.

Graviton: for those who have written the TOEFL test, what are the requirements on the test day?, what exactly did you take there?, how was the overall experience like?
Ur International Passport, Confirmation Receipt and Pencil. For your second and third questions, do u expect any change in the format ni? Nothing aside the normal RLSW sections. However, your test center has a lot to do with ur test experience. All the best.

Gbenge 77: Sometimes, the CO might get mischievious and ask
What if I don't grant you the visa?
Of course, this is a tricky and vital question ,which the co could use to winnow desperate applicants from those who are not. Now,a desperate applicant might answer
“I will be so devastated”,and that would signal the end of the interview, unless he is fortuitous .so, applicants should brace themselves for the CO,s“ psychological games”,while also eschewing diffidence. And to the religious: Prayer and fasting is efficacious!
Dear sir,
To some of us who are learners, decoding your heightened use of language is a war. sad Help us understand you sir so that we don't die in the course smiley God's best.

First, could you please let's have your interview experience? This will assist the gurus in identifying your flaws (if any). I think it's better like that; otherwise, giving you the exact pieces of information required would be hard.
