PoliticsRe: Fg Picks Geregu, Itu As 2,400mw Nuclear Power Sites by GodMode: 11:46am On Jun 17, 2015
bushdoc9919:
Because right now, we do not have the type of river that we can dam to produce electricity....plus topography is important. Ethopia is a mountainous country....with rugged rivers flowing from a height downwards. Nigeria? We don't have that kind of topography or even rivers.(We have a potential river in Cross River....but its source is in Cameroon....and if we do a dam there...the Cameroonians would promptly dam the river).

And yes...Nuclear costs money. Hence the expense.

Or else...we build six-seven gas stations...at the same cost....and producing the same amount of power.
There's also solar, wind, waste, glass e.t.c that can generate thousands of megawatts before 2035 gringringrin

Hope they're paying you well Oooo.

Nuclear power plants do not just ''blow up'' like that.

And if you are thinking of Chernobyl....that was human error.

Fukushima happened because the earthquake of 2011 damaged the nuclear power plant's cooling system (and we do not have earthquakes in Nigeria. At least none of magnitude 7 and above on the Richter scale).
I guess you're a paid e-ratgringringringrin

You're defending your pay masters even if it will lead to the death of your family...

Well if PDP had done something more about power .....perhaps we won't have had to wait that long.

At least we know when APC will give us power. Unlike PDP that promised us 24 hours light in 2013....and then told us 'Sorry, we did not really mean that'' by 2014.

At least I am realistic that Nigeria won't solve its power supply problems now....I just don't like the lies we were told in 2013 that by now power would be sorted.
If ethiopia can use $2.5B to create 3000MW in 5 years

Why should Nigeria use $20B to create 4800MW in 20 years...

Note: $2.5B = 3000MW using dams in 5yrs
$20B = 24000MW using dams in 5yrs

Another phantom project to get long suffering Nigerians excited about 'constant power.'

Nigerian politicians are clever...when they sense tension and frustration building up amongst the millions of long suffering ordinary people, they throw another phantom project (that will never happen) up in the air to get people excited and hopeful and divert their attention from the latest bad news, ie N9 billion naira agbada allowance for legislators.

This strategy works like a treat. The politicians know it. And they will continue to use it. The only people who dont see the diversion are naive youths.
Have you looked at the locationhuh huh

Kogi and Awka ibom

Kogi is a central state
Awka ibom is a SE state

If this two "projects" blows up Nigeria is destroyed..

For the last 50 years Nigeria's MW has been below 3000MW...

Must Nigeria spend $2.5Bhuh huh

If $2.5B will build 3000MW then $10B will build 12000MW in 5 yearsangryangry

You need to start thinking outside the box and how to build better things instead of thinking with what people give you..
Read the article.. It said

“With NAEC’s plan to inject 1,200mw from
first nuclear power plant in 2025 and
increase to 4,800mw in 2035, the energy
mix is expected to have increased to about
20 percent power generation from clean
sources,” Igali said.
I'm sure by 2025 and 2035 you'll be a grand fathergringringrin

Remember this quotes

GodMode:
ethiopia can build a dam
that would generate more than 3,000MW in
5years with 2.5 billion dollars(borrowed
funds)angryangryangry

Your heroes steal BILLIONS OF DOLLARS YEARLY... Yet if $2.5B was spent every 5yrs since 1970 Nigeria would be much more conducive by now..
Then you said

VickJames:
Lmao!

Spending 2.5billion dollars for 3000MW?

That's wasteful!
Now your govt is paying $20B for 4000MW..

No health hazard or epidemic unless you decide to pipe the noxious gas into your nose which can lead to suffocation.

This is a misconception!

Karma is a biiitch .The ethnic minorities of the North are simply paying for the evil they did to the Igbos and other ethnic minorities in the South during the civil war.

Let them massacre them until they learn that there was nothing like one Nigeria ,this is a lesson the Igbos learnt long time ago.
When they are done exterminating them they will face the South West and then it might just occur to every Bantu people in this Sub Sahara region that the Gambari man have always wanted to conquer ,maim,r@pe,plunder,burn ,kill, loot and take over.
They've tried the SW before and they were killed..

Once upon a time, Hausa and fulanis in the north, yorubas in the south, western nations, Arab Nations they all agreed to archive one common goal which is to wipe-out all Biafrans from the face of the earth, with knives they stabbed and tore open wombs of pregnant women brought out the unborn children, cut them into pieces, they were not satisfied they pursue Biafrans to their Land, and with the help of foreign mercenaries they completed the massacre, and just when the Biafrans thought they have seeing the worst, the Yorubas became willing tools in staving over a million innocent children.

Today, those who where instrumental and complacent are today asking why? why? why? and we Biafrans are still asking Chukwu Abiama, why not? Why not?
The Yorubas didn't join the war until Ore was attacked...

But There were few Yorubas living in the North that fought with the Northerners..
