I lost my wife six months ago, and she had a baby girl for me of about 2years old now. The baby has been with my mother since her mother died but recently my mother got sick and since my inlaw are still alive I have to take my daughter to them for proper care cos the nature of my job didnt give time to take care of her on my own. A man identified as Chidi Okere has been arrested and placed in a police cell for allegedly duping his fiancee. According to lawyer and human rights activist, Emeka Ugwuonye, the man promised the lady marriage before borrowing money she kept for brother and then disappeared.

According to the report by Emeka, the fiancee begged him to return the money or to pledge to return the money. He refused. He played her. She begged him. He played her. She went to the police. He evaded arrest for a whole year before he was later arrested.

The man reportedly pleaded with the lady at the police station for the matter to be settled peacefully all to no avail as he's set to spend the weekend behind bars.

The guy who allegedly stabbed a 16-year-old girl, Alero Eyesan on her thigh for rejecting his advances has been arrested, according to reports. The suspect populalry known as 'Osama' has reportedly been transferred to Police Headquarters in Asaba, Delta state this morning.

The teenage girl whom he stabbed on the 31st of December, 2017 died two days ago after the injury sustained spread very fast all over her body.

After rejecting his advances, the young man was said to have laid an ambush for her as he attacked and stabbed her in the process.

She was immediately rushed to central hospital where the doctors prescribed things to be bought for her treatment.

Two kidnappers nabbed in Ajah, Lagos, while escaping with their victim

The Nigeria Police, Lagos State Command, arrested two notorious Kidnappers, yesterday, 10th of January, 2018, at about 9:43pm, at Elemoro, Ajah.

The criminals met their waterloo while escaping with their victim, one Mrs Mildred Mbajiorgu.

The tight security network emplaced in Lagos state by the Command Commissioner of Police, CP. Edgal Imohimi, did the magic as the Divisional Police Officer, Elemoro tapped into it to get the suspects arrested.

According to the DPO, SP Mohammed Shehu Limawa, he received a distress call from a lady who told him that she heard the voice of a woman crying for help in a dark blue Gulf 3 car.

She also gave the registration number of the car as KRD 845 EC. The DPO quickly alerted one of the Anti crime patrol teams along the route taken by the Kidnappers and instructed the policemen to slow down traffic to about 20km per hour.

The hoodlums ran into the gridlock and were arrested by the policemen who were in the waiting for them. The victim was rescued and taken to the hospital to treat the injury inflicted on her forehead by the dare devils using the butt of a locally made pistol.

Meanwhile the suspects by names, Igwe Sunday, age 28years and Chukwuemeka Bright, 21 years together with the locally made pistol recovered from them has been handed over to the operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) for further investigation.

Buhari was absent at the mass burial of 73 people killed by Fulani herdsmen in Logo and Guma LGAs of the state.

The BBOG convener described Buhari’s absence as heartless and insensitive to the plight of Nigerians.

Troops of Nigerian Army on internal security operations deployed at Akwanga highway Nasarawa State, yesterday Wednesday 10th January 2018, arrested a suspected gun runner, Mohammed Bello, in an Opel Vectra Saloon Car with the fabricated guns heading to Saminaka to link up with his gang leader Damina Saminaka.

During preliminary interrogation the suspect claimed to purchase the weapons for Thirty Thousand Naira (N30,000.00k), from a blacksmith gun fabricator named Dan Asabe Audu, who reside at Angbo Village, Wamba Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Determined to get to the root of the matter, the troops further went to the village where they found out that indeed Dan Asabe Audu has been in the business of illegal arms manufacturing for criminals for quite sometime. They found a complete arms factory with equipment and the products at various stages of production.

Specifically, the troops recovered 3 completely locally fabricated guns, 20 locally fabricated guns at various stages of production, 7 units of 9mm empty cases, one 9mm blank ammunition, 2 drilling machine, 1 power generating set and 3 mobile telephone handsets. The suspects would soon be handed over to the relevant security agency for further investigation and prosecution.
