poseidon12: Their (ceremonial) leaders are usually from the Middlebelt or Christian minority part of the North. You can see the name of the spokesman, Tony. Paul Unongo leading the Northern Elders Forum. I give it to the Fulani and their native intelligence. They may not parade academic degrees, but they have superior intelligence as compared to the noise making Southerners. That is why they run things in this country. They put up these fools with Christian or Southern names with no real power. Meanwhile, the real power brokers are in the background quietly pressing the buttons.
True our religious beliefs has become a bile in our own blood, you will see two Christians of the same denominations having hate between themselves for years, and every Sunday is the holiest day in their lives, they are divided by hate instead of love, spread to politics that's worse no sense of kinship or brotherhood, instead resources and wealth is a measure for supremacy

metronaija2: Yesterday, news broke that a crew member of singer, Davido and some Airport officials engaged in a fistcuff at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport on Thursday January 11th. According to reports, trouble started when a checkpoint staff at the airport attempted to verify some of the checked luggage with the attached tags, but, rather than allow the staff to carry out his official duty, 22 year old Umarudeen Kayode pictured right, insisted that he would not allow him to verify the luggage, which after much argument and insistence, led to fisticuffs.
Umarudeen allegedly punched the Checkpoint staff on the face, which attracted other security officials at the terminal who immediately attempted to arrest him. Rather than obey, he resisted arrest and pummeled another airport security staff attached to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria at the baggage claim area, an Assistant Customs Comptroller was also injured.
Umarudeen was arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate court on a 5-count charge yesterday January 12th. He was charged for assault, breach of public peace and for resisting arrest. The first charge accused him of obstructing and resisting a public officer, an offence contrary to section 117(1) and punishable under the same section of the Criminal Law of Lagos State.
“That you, Umarudeen Kayode ‘M’, on the same date, time and place, in the aforementioned magisterial district did unlawfully assault a public officer causing him harm and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 171 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011” reads count 2.
The magistrate granted him bail in the sum of N50, 000 and two sureties in like sum. The sureties must have variable addresses within the jurisdiction of the court. According to Sahara Reporters, Umarudeen was not able to meet the bail condition as at the time the court closed for the day. This suggests that Umarudeen will be sleeping in the prison this weekend until he perfects his bail conditions.
Firefire: Benue killings: ACF sets up committee on anti-grazing law
Published January 13, 2018
Pan-Northern socio-cultural group, the Arewa Consultative Forum, said it had constituted a committee on how best to handle the anti-open grazing law which has been a bone of contention in some parts of the North.
The implementation of the law is currently causing crises in Benue, Taraba and Adamawa states, leading to the killing of hundreds of citizens and the destruction of property.
The Secretary-General of the ACF, Anthony Sani, told one of our correspondents in Kaduna via the telephone on Friday that the constitution of the committee became necessary because the forum believed the clashes bordered on occupation rather than on ethnicity or religion.
Sani, who did not name members of the committee, blamed governors for enacting laws that were not “implementable” just as he knocked the Fulani herdsmen for not “forgiving those who offended them.”
He said, “The ACF has actually constituted a committee on how best to go about the anti-open grazing law with a view to stopping clashes between herdsmen and farmers and improving the volume and quality of the livestock industry in the country.
“This is because the forum believes the clashes border on occupation rather than on ethnicity or religion. The committee has yet to submit its reports to the forum. It is after the submission of the report that well-informed positions on this important subject can be taken. Any law which cannot be implemented for whatever reasons in the interest of all the people should be reconsidered for performance.
“How frustrated we are with the challenges of community living should not make us believe that acts of revenge can address our concerns and bring about the peace needed for socio-economic development.
“There can be no justification for taking it out on innocent people under the pretext of revenge through reprisals. If God can forgive our transgressions, we should also forgive those who transgress against us.
“So, let the herdsmen and farmers come together and unleash their synergy against the collective challenges for a common interest. The two occupations are not mutually exclusive.”
Since we got married it’s been one quarrel into another. Last Sunday I dressed in Jean and Long sleeve T shirt for Church and on sighting what I was wearing my wife yelled “Why will you be wearing this to Church?! We will not sit together ooh!!”
I felt dumbfounded but didn’t utter a word. On getting to Church I went to sit separately.
Is this right coming from a wife?
She expects you to function with the occasion, don't miss the dressing, when she nags look well, it's because she's a woman and she's not too patient to reason for a proper way to present the issues, she talks more thinks less, that's the way god wired them so they can handle children, filter the rubbish from the precious information she just gave you,
1 you are dressed in responsibly or too casual, it's turning her off, she has to seat with u in pride,
2 dress up for your wife, make her kiss you every time u step out for an occasion, I do get dragged by my lady back into the bedroom for quick hot sex when I dress to kill, says it turns her on.
Be a man swallow it and see her plight, she wants the best for u
(1) When a wife listens to third parties in her marriage she ends up dancing to the tunes of public disgrace.
(2) when a woman abandons her husband because of her job or financial issues in the home, some woman is willing to carry him despite his shortfalls as a husband.
(3) when a woman leaves a man hungry, he find an alternative woman to cook for him!
(4) the man who puts his family first always wins.
Most men can't cook and this woman as a police woman is often not home, the man is a business man, the two do not meet the capacity to wield a family. Words of our elders are words of wisdom, their words are like palm oil to boiled yam.
Explorers: Do you remember that scene in Jurassic Park when John Hammond shows off the mosquito encased in amber?
Well, Mercedes has done thesame for this year’s North American International Auto Show except instead of a mosquito, they’ve encases an entire 1979 G-Class SUV.
The company released a video that evoked the original Jurassic Park film by showing a classic G-Class embedded in amber and promised, "The DNA Lives On."
The automaker will revive that idea at the entrance of Cobo Hall at the show by displaying the world's largest installation of synthetic resin with a 1979 G-Class suspended in the center of it.
This eye-catching art piece will weigh a portly 44.4 tons (40,280 kilograms) and will give visitors a big hint about the vehicle premiering inside.
The classic 1979 280 GE SUV, the G-Class' first year of production, which will be put on display to promote the next iteration of the long-lived G-Class.
Mercedes opted for this unique way of presenting its history, Preservation, in a chunk of synthetic resin meant to mimic amber, similar to how fossils can be found preserved in amber.
The block of resin itself is described by Mercedesas weighing in at 44.4 tons, and is said to have taken about three months (90 days) to cast.
