Nigeria has really got talents. A gifted young man identified as Muhammad Mustapha (Auwal) garnered attention to himself after he constructed this "unique" vehicle with locally sourced materials. The man who is said to come from Gombe state, drove the vehicle as residents and passersby surrounded him to see his customized car.

Photos of the guy were posted online in order to get the attention of the state government to harness his skills.

The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC has called on the EFCC to investigate the source of funds used at the just concluded PDP national convention at the Eagles Square, Abuja.

Below is a statement signed by Collins Edwin, the National Secretary of APC youths Rennaissance obtained by PoliticsNGR;

"APC Youths Renaissance was shocked to read about the huge sums of money distributed to delegates at the just concluded PDP National Convention despite the excruciating pains the empty economy it left behind has imposed on Nigerians.

The reality of yesterday's show of shame by PDP rogues and gangsters has shown to Nigerians that PDP remained unremorseful to the black hole economy and the decrepit infrastructures it corruptly and irresponsibly left behind inspite of the unprecedented oil boom it witnessed during its inglorious reign.

Instead of apologizing to Nigerians for the shallow economic foundation it laid for the country, the new National Chairman of a corrupt and irresponsible party Uche Secondus had the effrontery to insult the sensibilities of Nigerian voters who rejected and sacked them from office when he said their corrupt party would come back to power in 2019.

Since we are in the era of prudent and legitimate financial spending and not in the era where stealing was not corruption, we urge the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to investigate the source of the money shared to party delegates and prosecute those behind the act.

We also urge the EFCC to investigate who brought the money, which bank provided it, how did it found its way to the convention arena and who was the main beneficiary?

A proper investigation should be conducted and offenders punished to serve as deterrents to others."

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued the statement below in reaction to the emergence of Uche Secondus as national chairman of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Mr. Secondus was elected at Saturday’s convention of the party amid allegations of vote buying and ballot rigging. At least one chairmanship candidate, Tunde Adeniran, has called for the cancellation of the election. The APC said the PDP has now been reduced to a regional party.

In reacting to revelations of how money-for-votes and systematic rigging was brazenly perpetuated during the National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the All Progressives Congress (APC) is mindful of the popular axiom: “A leopard cannot change its spot”.

The abnormalities that trailed the PDP National Convention have further exposed the PDP as a Party not ready and willing to change. Indeed, the PDP has once again displayed itself to the generality of Nigerians that it is a Party with corruption deeply rooted in its DNA.

Again, it is tragic that the PDP which used to pride itself as “the biggest political Party in Africa” has now been reduced to a regional party. By frustrating South West Chairmanship candidates, it is unfortunate that the PDP has decided to punish the South West for not voting for the Party in 2015.

We urge members of the PDP that can pass the integrity test to join the APC so that we can together bring about the much-needed Change the country deserves.

Former vice-president Atiku Abubakar says the All Progressives Congress (APC) promised to fight corruption but instead has delivered a war on the opposition.

Atiku said this on Saturday at the PDP’s national elective convention at Eagle square Abuja.

The former vice-president said under current APC administration, the country is not working and the people are jobless.

He said the PDP has a lot to be proud of as in the last 16 years, Nigeria prospered and was recognised as the largest economy in Africa.

“Under the APC Nigeria is not working, under the APC our people are not working. Let us consider what the APC has achieved versus what they promised in the last election. The APC promised us N3 million new jobs a year, in government the APC has lost N3 million jobs a year,” Atiku said.

“The APC promised us unity, under APC Nigeria is more divided and acrimonious since the civil war. The APC promised us restructuring, in office the APC denied restructuring. The APC promised war on corruption but all they have delivered is a war on the opposition.

“Comparing the APC in government and the record of the PDP in government, we in the PDP achieved a 10-year expectancy of our people. We the PDP helped Nigeria become the largest in Africa. As members of the PDP we all have a lot to be proud of. in the 16 years that we governed we made Nigeria prosperous. We made mistakes, we are human beings but we put our nation first.

“We now have an APC government which continues to blame the previous governments rather than solving the problems. The PDP is the party that will restructure Nigeria into a modern nation with working institutions.”

A man recently ended his life by hanging himself to death over an alleged controversy between his wife, mother-in-law and their Pastor, in Okoko, Lagos.

The man, only identified as Papa Ugochukwu was found clutched to the ceiling fan, in his sitting room by neighbours at their compound.

Before taking his life, the man who seems to be troubled, destroyed his ATM cards and left a suicide note on the table, where he wrote that his wife and mother-in-law were his problems. He also apologised to his own mother for committing suicide.

In the video shared by Biafra IPOB Infos, one of the shocked neighbors also revealed the man was a working class, who was earning over N200k monthly.

Detained at the Tinsley House Immigration Centre at Gatwick Airport in West Sussex on November 29, 29-year-old Bilal Fawaz , who represented the UK 6 times in boxing, currently ranked the 3rd best middleweight in England, and was the 2012 ABA light-middleweight champion, currently faces deportation to Nigeria where his parents emigrated when he was just 14.

Fawaz who is now married to an English woman, was brought to the UK illegally by an uncle, who told him his father would be arriving soon, but the man never turned up.

The boxer who now calls himself Kelvin, was treated ‘like a slave’, joined bad gangs, got shot once and stabbed 25 times, before he ran away from the home he was living in and was taken into care home where he became a boxer.
Daily Mail reports that Fawaz says his mother is dead and he has no idea where his father is.

He also says he’s stateless, as his parents were Lebanese immigrants to Nigeria, and did not have Nigerian citizenship themselves. He said:
“I am a national champion — in 2014 I even boxed for England against Nigeria, the country they want to deport me to.

I have no other family to go back to, I don’t know anyone in Nigeria or anything about it – all I know is here."

Imagine how it feels to represent a country and then to have that country turn around and put you in what feels like a prison.

It was gathered that Labour MP McDonnell and England Boxing have appealed to the authorities on the boxer’s behalf, but without success. The Home Office rejected his application to remain in the UK, and declared his marriage to a British citizen void.
