Yea, I have toured the world and it is quite below me or I still do not know or understand why many Christians live below what God did for them in Jesus. My point is, a lot of Christians are defeated in their expectations in life. I have been ringing this Bell for ages now, Christ came to build a Church that would prevail over the gate of hell, and that is the standard. I really do not get it at all. I am open for counselling too. But it is sad what I see both online and offline as a Christian. It is quite sad that the difference between those who lived before the coming of Jesus and those who claim they have received Christ as their Lord and personal saviour, I really pray this thread gets to the hearing of so many people(Amen). But there is really more to Christianity than we ever imagine and God can never lie to us. Recently, I was in a meeting and my mum was in that meeting, I finished praying, the truth is, I really do not blame her, she has been attending a Church where there is no life, you see, it is a whole lot of experience if we choose to stand with God. By the grace of God, alright, let's look at it this way, by the way, Abraham's blessings are ours. There is nothing wrong in getting wealth, but get it in a manner that pleases God. The truth is, we have been schooled and mentored by people who do not know the Bible and we are captives to the imaginations that has been built into us and part of the captivity that has been built into us is the fact that, some traditions has become our expectations, because we believe the things of the Spirit only manifest in the churches only when we have vigils, not knowing that those who go up in the spirit during vigils and intensive services are those who have received and understand fully well how the things of the Spirit work. I am here to tell us there is more to God that we can ever imagine. And there is more to God than our widest and deepest imaginations. The fact somethings has proved themselves impossible in our lives does not mean they are impossible. I was talking about the meeting I was where my mum was also, I was about to start the sermon when I heard a whisper behind me telling me to preach on healing. Alright, I started preaching and I noticed I said a lot of things about with God all things are possible. And after the sermon, I made a call to prayers and when I got to her place. Immediately I touched her hands, from no where, I started crying, I could not believe that despite all the fasting and prayers she has been doing, she would still be the type that needs that much kind of prayers.

I believe that "Spirit upon" and "Spirit within" can be synonymous/ the same. Take the Lord Jesus Christ for example in this verse speaking about Him - "Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles." - Isaiah 42:1 (also see Luke 4:18) ... So, the Savior Himself has the Holy Spirit both within and upon Him. Only God knows how He does this. One significant take away is that in virtually all the verses that refer to either "Spirit upon" and "Spirit within"... the goal is to accomplish the perfect will of God. (Like Ezekiel 36:27, and the Pentecost in Acts chapter 2, etc), as well as the preceding verses and others.


I love the entire holy word from cover to cover, all 66 chapters... but I tend to particularly be moved by all the verses that either exalt God, and/or show that God's promises never fail - like the ones below:

"that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. To quickly chime in on the question you asked Jochabed... I believe what one should primarily do to become more and more like Christ is to do what He said... "watch and pray" (Matt 26:41). I take watch as staying in/ reading the word of God... reading a verses, verses or a chapter a day... and then "pray without ceasing" - 1 Thessalonians 5:17... God helps and enables his children be like Him.
