Napata77: SHUT UP. What was ''superstitious'' about thinking he saw giant footsteps?
Are you even aware that there is evidence that GIANTS walked this earth in antiquity?
It is actually western (Ie WHITE) researchers that have pioneered in such finds in recent times.
A simple Google research will educate you.
But a self-hating idiot like you sees a need to insult ''black man''.
ASSWIPE. It is obvious you are an idiot who has no brain. What's the meaning of superstition?? The belief that a particular event happened in a way that can not be explained by reason or science. I only showed, as a geologist that it is not scientifically possible to have foot prints on hard crystalline rock (basement rocks: Igneous and metamorphic), where in my post did I say it is impossible to have foot prints at all, but the fool that you are instead of you to disprove that, you are saying gibberish and insulting. It shows how little your brain is, you think everything starts and ends on google. What's the insult for, am I not a black man as well. You are obviously the idiot here and I will not avail you the opportunity to drag me along with you in your mud of ignorance and foolishness by responding to you anymore Swine! |

The niger-deltans will definitely not go with Biafra. There is a reason the Ikwerres never returned their properties. Yorubas that didn't even do this to them cos that's what reasonable people do, how have they reciprocated that gesture. It's even BVAS that curtailed him a bit now otherwise, you would have seen like 1.8m for his candidate. PDP has always always won Rivers elections this way. It's unfortunate that Wike didn't allow the voices of Rivers people to be heard in 2015 and 2023. 2019 was a self inflicted injury by Amaechi and Abe. Rivers and Akwa Ibom. I was an adhoc staff in 2011 in Akwa Ibom. The APC agent was paid for his work at the polling unit by PDP. BVAS has changed this trend now. |

raskymonojendor: What he did here is also similar to the Yoruba christians vs Yoruba Muslim that Ibos try to use to divide Yorubas on Nairaland.
Ibos and Gbadebo do not know that we are Yoruba first before being Christian or Muslim. Hence, you find many Yoruba household with inter-religious beliefs. Father fit be Muslim, wife Christian, some kids Muslim and some kids Christians. An average ibo can't fathom how this works since people of same faith fight in their region let alone family members of different faith.
He also does not know that Yoruba-ness is more important than borders created by the colonial masters and military juntas. Yorubas from Benin Republic all the way to Nigeria are one. So that tweet of Faleke, Osinbanjo e.t.c is hilarious. It's even more hilarious that he left out the ibos that worked for both Tinubu and Fashola. My brother! Oil dey your head. Yoruba is not about South west alone. I went on a field assignment in Kogi. Even though Kogi is North Central, the Yoruba people there are YORUBAS, that's how it works, I was at home. Yoruba is not bound by the geographical boundaries placed by the state. However, irrespective of wherever you are from, there is an Omoluabi attitude expected of you and this is missing in this puppet put forward for an hidden agenda that will never see the light of day. |

Seun: Dear Igbo People,
I sincerely apologize for allowing a toxic political banner advert which said, "Lagos can never be run from Anambra; go and vote" to run on Nairaland for several hours on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
The mischievously worded banner advert appears to have been part of an ethnically divisive political campaign aimed at securing Lagos State for the ruling party by instilling fear in Yoruba people, making them believe that Igbo people intended to "take over" Lagos State.
Such ethnically divisive political campaigns have no place in a forward-thinking democracy, and for this reason, the ad should have been taken down instantly. No harm was intended, but my lack of forethought about the ethics of that type of advert led to a disappointing outcome.
We should have had a clear policy against accepting negative and ethnically divisive ads on Nairaland, we should have communicated it to all advertisers, and we should have taken down any advert that violated that policy instantly. This will all be in place before the next election.
We made almost N16,000 from the ad. We will double it and donate it to victims of political violence in Lagos.
Please, do NOT give up on Nigeria. The times are challenging, but TOGETHER, we will overcome.
Sincerely, Seun Osewa. Funny thing is they will all forget how you were promoting LP contents and pushing it to the front page, they will forget that you anchored a question and answer session bringing GRV here to answer questions that he even did not answer because he has no answers to give. They will forget all and you have already been tagged a tribal bigots by them. I for one think you are business man and the platform is open to all parties. LP had their time and so did APC and anyone who recognized the reach that Nairaland could give. If EDO NO BE LAGOS wasn't bad, I don't see anything bad in the advert. |

By Law, more seats are allocated to states like Lagos in the house of Reps due to their large population...this population is made up of those of us who have been violently prevented from voting...we were told we are not Lagosians, we were told to go back to where we come from.
....And we have accepted.
Come May 2023, there will be another national Census and we won't allow ourselves to be counted as Lagosians.
We must "respect our hosts" and return to our states of origin to be counted. Or refuse to be counted as Lagosians.
You can't accept our population and Reject our votes.

Someone who denigrated in the past the very people he wants to lead, the internet never forgets and he couldn't even apologize. Someone whose capacity and competence can not match SanwoOlu. All the noise the Igbos and some obidients are making about the GRV issue is just emotional blackmail. He is not the first person to contest in Yorubaland who has an Igbo mother, he is also not the first to contest in Yorubaland who has a Non-yoruba wife. Governor Adeleke's mother is Igbo. Aketi's wife is Igbo. Governor Seyi Makinde's wife is not Yoruba. There has never been anytime any Yoruba man campaigned against any of these people on the basis of where their mother or wife is from. One should then ask, what is different in his own case.GRV was rejected because of his disposition towards his supposed people the people he intended to govern, evident in his submissions online. He wasn't rejected because his mom or wife is igbo. He was rejected because of his disposition towards the Yorubas, his disposition is anti-yoruba. His posts can be likened to an Hausa man referring to Hausas as bunch of Almajiris, no Hausa man will ever tag his people in that manner, at least not one who has the intention of leading them.GRV's loss is Karma playing out, he deserves to lose and SanwoOlu deserves to win!Abeg, LP lost this from the beginning. I expected the elderly ones to think inwardly and discover what the cause of their failure is genuinely... But they themselves love lies just to please themselves and make the unwise youths happy...
Obi just woke up one day as an accidental candidate.... What role/impact does he play within the ibo nation prior to his candidacy as labour party.... You just want to use him to get power in a fire brigade approach....it doesn't work that way....
When we say you don't have structure you always think it is about having agents across Nigeria....No It's about Leadership of your candidate within his Political zone before it is Extended to other zones .... What was his relationship with other people from zones prior to his candidacy...? How many people did he build up politically? Reasons why he dumped APGA to PDP and then to LP What did he stand for politically that would make people believe in his ideology?
At least Tinubu believed in a decentralized Nigeria and he has been saying that for years now, that is what some of us see in him that made us vote for him..
Obi just wanted to use same format which buhari used to deceive us in 2015, claiming he was coming to fight corruption...
Obi was just an errand boy that was just handpicked for a mission he can't accomplish...
I expected the ibo elders to call their youths now and tell them the bitter truths they hate to hear and begin to build up for 2027/31 elections, Rome is not built in a day....
Rather than do something now all of them both elders, youths, pastors, have started wailing again You are 100% correct sir. Rather than wail they should be strategic, that is if they are serious about having an Igbo lead this nation. Pity will not do it, only strategy will. Henry22: That's Is where you totally got it wrong, the very first party to use religion as a tool for the elections was no other than the APC when they fielded Thier Muslim-muslim ticket and coming to tell Nigerians that it's about competency does it mean that there wasn't a northern christian that was qualified enough for the post of a VP?, Now LP itself had a Christian candidate and a Muslim VP that combination alone speaks for itself, while obi was campaigning in the churches datti was doing doing same in the mosque now that's the balance, obi won't campaign in the churches and still move to the mosques when he has a Muslim candidate who can also do same.
Well let's not eat our pillows pretending it's bread, we all know what happened when the elections came and which has been widely condemned both locally and in the international community. It appears you and I will never agree on the religion issue, we don't have to. Bottom line, what I am saying is that Muslim-Muslim ticket should not be a threat to anyone if we are a serious nation. It is not only christians and Muslims that we have in Nigeria and officially Nigeria is a secular state. Unfortunately it was the LP that blew it out of proportion. What should matter is development. For Tinubu who decided to go that path it was purely strategic and not emotional or religious and the results has shown that it worked for him. Jonathan was a Christian president, there was nothing particular that I gained from that government because I was a Christian. Buhari is a Muslim, there is nothing in particular that my Muslim friends gained because of their faith. Bring a Babalawo that performs and improves the economy, everyone will experience positive improvement in their lives not because they belong to the faith of the president but because of the positive vibes in the ecosystem. That's my idea and that's my take on it. |

Henry22: What ever GRV said is left for him to deal with cos he knows what he said and why he said it but for the bolded above I strongly disagree with you on that reasons been It's not LP that employed the services of criminals to intimidate lagosians up to an extent that if you looking somehow well kept and healthy they automatically tag you Igbo, that was the height of Thier insensitivity during the pols and at some point some Yorubas where even wounded just cos they looked Igbo😊, so you blaming LP Is totally wrong. Well, I said it's a story for another day, but since you quoted me with the bolded I have to respond. When campaigns started, Peter Obi was going from one church to the other seeking the votes of the church members. That in itself would not have been bad if he was also visiting the Mosques with the same energy he was visiting the churches. I never for once saw him visit any Mosque. He was also going to these churches with one message, NO TO MUSLIM-MUSLIM TICKET. After all, he wants to be elected President of Nigeria. Nigeria is a country that has christians, Muslims, atheists and traditional religion worshippers. Does it mean he only wanted to be President of the Christians?? Please note, I am a Christian before some people tag me Yoruba Muslim and for me I would not mind voting for a Babalawo if I am convinced he is capable of solving the myriads of problems bedevilling this nation or at least a significant part of it. I would rather vote for a tolerant Muslim than for an extremist Christian. Religious extremism is not limited to those of the Islamic faith That's the religious angle and colouration LP gave this election.
When it comes to tribalism in this election, I think anyone who looks closely at the data would know where to point accusing fingers. When you juxtapose the voting data or the voting pattern of the Southwest for example with that of the South East you will see nothing but pure tribal sentiments playing out in the South east. In the south west Atiku won in Osun, Labour won in Lagos and in the south west states of Ondo, Ekiti and Ogun where both PDP and Labour party did not win they had significant number of votes and that's the same trend in the other geopolitical zones, same can not be said of the south east where LP ensured their kinsman Obi got 85% or more while the other tribes shared the paltry 15% or less in some states, by appealing to tribal sentiments. That's how it played out and any sane person who wants to be honest and analyse with data rather than emotions and sentiments can not conclude that the Yorubas were tribalistic with how they voted. About the criminals harrasing people as much as I do not support such, I think what responsible citizens should do is to call for the prosecution of those arrested. Thugs were arrested not just in Lagos alone, mind you. In Enugu I read online that 140thugs were arrested in a location alone. Hooliganism anywhere should be condemned. We should not be selective in our condemnation of such acts. |

I so much love your response. That's exactly what made GRV lose this election. He does not have the technical know how. Just go through the resume of all the front runners, you will see that most of the experience he had was as an internBesides his capacity, he lost because of his disposition towards Yorubas, the same people he intended to lead. Statements made by him in the past were "anti-Yoruba". It shows where his heart belongs. He never denied nor apologized for these statements, meaning he meant everything he said and he doesn't give a damn! He was not rejected because his mother is Igbo or because his wife is Igbo. He is not the first person to contest in Yorubaland whose mother is Igbo or whose wife is Igbo. For the sake of setting the records straight, Aketi who is the governor of Ondo State has an Igbo wife, the mum of Governor Adeleke governor of Osun state was an Igbo woman. During their campaigns it was never an issue, no Yoruba man ever made it a reason why they should not be voted. Moreso, the tribal and religious colouration that this election has been characterised with was driven majorly by the LP but that's a discussion for another day. Those who voted SanwoOlu are not hyenas. They are people who also love peace and would like to continue the progress that the state has experienced so far under SanwoOlu rather than handover to a green horn who lacks manners and who was too arrogant to apologise. |

If you look at the voting data from the south west, the votes were divided amongst the 3 front runners, same for the North East, North Central, North West. It is pertinent to also note that all the numbers Tinubu was able to garner in the north, even in states where he was not the winner is what guaranteed his victory.
In the south west Atiku won in Osun, Labour won in Lagos and in the south west states of Ondo, Ekiti and Ogun where both PDP and Labour party did not win they had significant number of votes, same can not be said of the south east.
That's how it played out and any sane person who wants to be honest and analyse with data rather than emotions and sentiments can not conclude that the Yorubas were tribalistic with how they voted.
When it comes to tribalism in this election, I think anyone who looks closely at the data would know where to point accusing fingers and would also know that the failure of this block in this election and in many others in the past is their failure to understand that alliance and networks with the voting blocks with huge numbers is what guarantees electoral victory in Nigeria's presidential election.
Rather than tow this line they are always in the habit of denigrating the Yorubas with despicable words, just because the Yorubas always align with the North in General Elections. Politics and electioneering is a game of numbers. In the gubernatorial election in Kano, close to 2million votes were recorded. What was the total votes of the South East in the presidential election.
I think more than ever before, this election has shown that whoever wants to become the president of Nigeria does not really need to bother too much about the south east, especially with the way they voted in this election. If such a person can win significant number of states in the South South, south west and an appreciable number in the North. |

It's not a giant's footprint.
This guy didn't do any research at all.
That's a gneiss there. These are metamorphic rocks formed and cooled at depth, solid by the time it becomes exposed to the surface, how then will a giant leave his footprint on a solid hard rock. If it were to be a sedimentary rock then you could have a mould of such footprints but on a metamorphic or igneous rock, it's impossible. Even if it were to be that he stepped on molten magma (lava), which is unlikely, you still wouldn't have the prints intact.
These are called solution cavities
