Mynd44: Mark Essiens Collation not married by anything. Even the owner didn't say so. What happened was the completion started largely with South Eastern and South Southern states where Obi led. When it got to the North, they discovered the truth and said it will affect their court case.
On the matter of Rivers, I have always said that the Rivers election should be removed. Does Obi still win? Does he make second? No.
Lagos? How come this imaginary one million votes in Lagos was not debated in court? If you won and had almost 500,000 votes removed, surely you will bring it up. Note that Peter Obi never argued that he won the election in court. Why is that? I remember this well cos they were alas verifying who actually won with their own hands hence the excuse 😂 |

The bye-elections have just shown that only the APC and the PDP are the major contenders, so only candidates contesting on those platforms can make an impact. Let's not forget that they both came first and second in the last elections. |

jedisco: Interesting article... know 3 folks in the 2024 group so not very surprised. Make madam Kemi no see this one though... she'd say 'those pesky Nigerians are now buying British properties to rent even before they collect kpali.'
Jokes apart, it reminded me of discussions that happened here recently with the visa brouhaha. On the one hand, some folks advised against buying property in the UK as they would ultimately return to 9ja. The second group countered the first advising them to buy eitherway so as to build equity. Seems like we all forgot the third and rising group - landlords who dont mind taking rent from group one. Good there's willful representation- at least that way, the money remains in the community. Na joke I dey ooo...

jedisco: Hehe...anything wey dem wan do na their business. If Vrexit hasn't thought them lessons, a second one would. E fit be say Kemi dey visit NL
Truth be said, it's opportunities we chase....the kpali is a byproduct. But we're more conscious of it because as Nigerians, we don see shege on account of kpali matter. Hopefully we can build 9ja make our green kpali dey strong. Life is all by choice and target. All the advanced economies never sat down in their countries to build it, they did spread out to trade their skills, talents, resources and products to be where they are today. Anyone telling Africans to sit in their nations to build their countries just want them to remain poor. The Chinese understand this well hence they are spreading out everywhere! Indians and other Asians as well. Even Europeans and Americans are spreading out to the Middle East and Asia and I don’t see anyone bullying them for it or telling them to go back to where they come from. It’s just global trade whether people move in by air, land or water, na trade simple. |

jedisco: Good experience so far, not even touched on the clinical side.
They have what is called a 'meet and greet' - before one takes on a person as a patient, both parties meet and decide if they want to work together. I always find it odd when after I tell folks I'm ok to be your doc, they happily say thank you for having me as a patient.. like say na exam.
In the UK, was frequently on home visits during my lunchtime. Reception staff were frequently arguing with folks who demand home visits but can somehow find their way to the pub/saloon. For Cana- it's never been a consideration. Never done one and even if I do, na plenty thank you and appropriate bill go follow am. Lots of free work one did in the UK is paid e.g letters, prescription refill... are paid for
Another frequent question is folks who worriedly ask, how long would you be here? When I enquire more, they narrate how their old doc left after say 6months prompting them to change. I tell them, I'm happy so far and not planning to move but can't predict the future. Afterall, na 6 yrs I dey for UK and something similar for 9ja.
Last one is folks that ask- why Canada? I tell them I moved to explore- life is for living. Then explain how I considered remaining in the UK vs moving to Ireland, Aussie, NZ or Canada. Someone looked sadly and said, hmmm wasn't happy he had never left Canada.
All said, so far, so good. We hope for the best. Eku Canada o like my people will say! Looks like someone is really balling out there! Gracias and hoping in few years to come you won’t be confused on what to identify as 😂 cos na so e Dey start, just kidding but these are the kind of stories I like to read! 👍 you’ve worked your socks off so enjoy bruv! |

JohnBullMySon: Don't mind those guys. Chest beating without knowledge. A good team with a poor coach is way better than a poor team with a good coach. In fact, the better a team is the easier they are to coach cause one they will play to instructions and two you won't need to micromanage the game. Just give the overall strategy and they'll follow it.
I have said it here before that until our teams reclaim their spots back on the continental club stage. They are not worth being in the national team. it's that simple.
I didn't watch the chan games but estimating from Chelle's games with the SE, I can guess what happened. I'm sure he tried to get those guys playing upfront which resulted in high possession without result, missed chances, poor ball recovery. We simply don’t have the materials for it even the super eagles is not too different |

If as a country we had enough materials and talent the current folks manning our midfield in the main super eagles squad with either be on the bench or not be invited at all. So let’s be clear it’s not an home based thing alone! |

Both locally and internationally we too overrate ourselves The fact that we couldn’t even beat Zimbabwe at home in the WCQ says a lot. Goodenoch: Badenough was in Epping on Monday saying how asylum seekers should be kept in camps and not town.
Whatever you think of that opinion, when thinking about what she means and how she would implement it if she had power, what you need to remember is that while she raced to Epping to speak in support of those attacking a hotel housing asylum seekers, she did not and has still not said one word about the widespread riots of last year when minorities (not necessarily immigrants because the rioters were attacking people based on how they looked not checking their immigration status) were being hunted and attacked in the streets.
Do you realize how incredible it is that someone whose political platform is founded in being an immigrant and who is now atop one of the countries leading parties, did not say anything at all in those circumstances? Not even a lukewarm statement just calling for calm. Nothing. In the time of greatest danger by people just like her, she chose silence. She would not have stayed silent had it been any other group in fear for their lives like that.
When her defenders want to lie and make you think it's only because she insults Nigeria that people dislike her, remember that. Aunty does not identify as a minority, immigrant or person of colour 😂 point of correction please! I can bet that if immigrants die she won’t even blink. She’s that weird at heart, forget it, if those defending her here didn’t give a damn then you’re expecting their gang leader to say wetin? You’ll wait forever, even those here defending her you think they see themselves as immigrants? |
