That $50 million condoms thing is funny.

It has been walked back by the White House themselves but it’s still being reported by mainstream right-leaning outlets as if it was anything other than the completely idiotic statement it was - see https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14339691/amp/donald-trump-condoms-gaza-bombs.html

And you know what’s even funnier? So many people believe it and have been circulating it. Just look at the comments on that article. These people seriously believe it and will not even do 30 seconds of Googling to realize it’s nonsense.

Tomorrow when there’s another riot attacking non-white people I won’t be shocked that one of the “underlying causes” some of the criminals will parrot is that millions of their money is being spent on condoms in Gaza.

By the way, one of the things I realized from following the discourse around the riots (and on subsequent issues like this) on various platforms was that I had grossly overestimated the mean intelligence in certain quarters.
It's even the white house press secretary who spewed the $50m condom trash and President kuku add jara on top with the bomb-making magic. What a combo! It nicely played out like that of the Haitians eating the pets mantra and was nicely confirmed by the Vice President.

That's how they keep their base busy. Just a bunch of comedians! We ain't see anything yet, na we go tire sef. I too overestimated their intelligence.

where is the lie here, you will blame the media too for misspelling Colombia in a white house statement or a President of an advanced nation saying condoms were used in making bombs in Gaza, there is a lie in that one too abi, or should we blame the media and leftists for opening the mouth of a president to spew trash, kontinu!

CNN and leftist mainstream media are the ones shouting about it. Silly people like Selena Gomez are the ones making a spectacle about it. Why can't everyone shut up just like they did during the Obama times? Shutting up is so darn easy, why is it so hard for the haters to do that? Anyway, the veil of deceit don burn patapata even before the election, so MOST objective people are not deceived by all these shenanigans and nonsense.

Let him deport who him wan deport in peace, no o, lai lai...headline after headline, reaction after reaction, insult after insult and yet he is the one making noise. How ludicrous!. The man said he would do it before being elected, the man signed executive orders on it a week ago. The man hasn't been making noise about it, na una dey make noise.

Can you see the inconsistency now?

Fix culpability where culpability is jare.
Everything gone wrong is always blamed on the media and leftism that’s what any irresponsible govt does including freezing of federal funding for citizens who I guessed they are immigrants too and need to suffer. Very shallow analysis!

Is this about Christianity? You are absolutely wrong. Trump cannot fight Islam and he had never mentioned Islam. The day he tried that, he is finished. Stop dragging Islam to these useless economic wars going on around the world today. The same way they are milking Africa is the same way they wants to milk the middle East but they met stiff resistance, hence the word terrorism they slam on them.

Wise up please. Forget religion. Face justice, equity and development.

It seems Boni’s move is temporarily on hold because of Al Nassr’s preference of Villa’s Jhon Duran who they are even willing to pay more to the player’s English club than they offered for Boni 🤦‍♀️🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

🇳🇬 ⏳ Victor Boniface will be absent from Bayer Leverkusen’s squad for tonight’s Champions League match vs Sparta Prague.

Leverkusen don't want to jeopardize his transfer to Al-Nassr. The total agreement is in place, but the signatures are still missing as they weigh up Duran

Very.. Reminds me of these articles I came upon recently. Written a decade ago but if you subsitute Romanians for xxxx, you could just about repost it today and no one would notice. What I find interesting was that after giving up a generous position in the EU, the government now had a generational opportunity to reduce 'low wage' workers. But then, same government went on to hand out over 40k farm and 100k care visas respectively.
Why not let farm produce rot in the field or grocery prices rise even more so Britain pay the right wage for British workers?
And now they are complaining about ilr for same workers. abeg I don tire jare

Low wage workers equals low prices of groceries if anyone is in doubt they should ask the US right now

The UK is neither here nor there - floating around with no firm economic blueprint.

They had the option of being the financial and economic headquarter of Europe but they opted out.

They have refused to come closer or dine&wine with the commonwealth and build their network in those nations.

They are still clinging on to some vestiges of socialism and not ready to be capitalist enough, obedient enough (or wipe Trumps butt clean enough) to be Americas best friend or 52nd state perhaps.

We delude themselves about China copying our stuff but still frolick around China seeking investment. If I was the Chinese, I'd add UK to the Belt and Road initiative together with developing nations seeking handouts.

It's neither high tax or low tax e.t.c. The government needs to form a blueprint, communicate and chase that.
Bigotry is a terrible thing!

True- it's multifactorial and also difficult to pin it all down to racism.

That Trump rode the wave of being better for the economy was surprising as we know their economy has been very strong with wage growth across board.
I hope its not like Nigeria of 2000-2010 where we were adamant about how bad things were until we subsequently experienced Buhari. Today we look back fondly at when many could afford 6yo tokunbo cars.

Another issue is expectation and entitlement which can't be kept up with. Its like how many people say they wouldn't have kids cos of how bad the world is without understanding we're living in the best time of human history. Also, an increasing number just want something different- a politician or party that deviates from the norm which is what I think is driving Reform. They are now seeking to appeal to those on the centre-right as they recognise they'd need numbers to make a difference.
After winning the election, oga Trump himself declared he won mainly because of the southern border and immigration, you see? grin

abeg what is the something different Reform say they are bringing? before they run us street
TravelRe: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Goke7: 5:21pm On Jan 25, 2025

Election numbers esp the U.S paint a different story. It appears a good cohort who voted him or didn't turn up for the republicans were people who had mainly been centre-left.

There have been a growing group esp poor white males question DEI initiatives in certain areas as they actually felt disenfranchised. I am still pro DEI but it should be a moving target.

Another are trans concers. Must say I have nothing against them but the pace and dimensions it got to had e.g sports and quite young kids has got many people who wouldn't have been bothered now questioning what exactly is going on. Even in the UK, we've seen policy change and now call for a better understanding of what treatments are being offered. Of course there are those who inexcusably hate them.
There have been inconsistencies on the reasons given for folks swinging to the right, the same people will tell you tomorrow that it was because of the economy or inflation another day they will tell you it’s because of immigration and the southern border. All sorts of excuses all in the name of being politically correct so it’s neither here nor there from my observation. Even the DEI excuse thing has been used by many to portray that it was mainly used to promote the trans community while denying the many other benefits it brings for an integrated society.

Sure, happy to have a healthy discussion…

Your statement is right except that the US cannot provide the service at this time.

1. The US cannot build a new refinery overnight to refine all the daily consumption. It will take years.

2. The US cannot produce all the cars that comes from Canada and Mexico overnight, remember American manufacturers go to produce in Mexico because of its cheap labor while they still produce in US too.

3. Fruits and Veggies come from Florida, Arizona, California… but still not enough to satisfy the whole countries demand, hence the need to import from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and even El Salvador.

Bottom line; if you choose to not buy a service again from a seller, you better have an immediate backup plan otherwise, the increase in cost from your 25% tariff will fall on you.

Biden has made greater strides with its chip act that attracted many manufacturers back to the US. He could continue with such policies, instead of threatening your closest allies.

There’s already inflation, now price of oil and food may increase by another 25% of the tariffs get implemented. I hope it’s all jokes and empty threats though
why are you dashing your wisdom free like that? o wrong na grin
