Tough game, good mental display from the eagles

Yes!

I hope we convert

codemaniacs:
Removing Iwobi won't be wise.

More midfielders are needed.

He's giving away balls making the SA looking better

Iwobi is rubbish

oshimen you can do better please

yinkeys:
Iwobi is poor o
Especially defensively

He may cost us the match

we need to make use of set pieces better

Aina losing the ball carelessly oh my

Paseiro you have 45 mins to prove your enemies wrong, am only appealing to you. Perhaps truly you have signed a new contract with another team and met your target with the Eagles but it won't hurt to prove your detractors wrong again. Good luck

ChrisKels:
We are winning this match guys

If SA scores first, it may be difficult

Omanambala:
Is something wrong with Iwobi's leg. Sometimes I feel he has a condition we dont know about in the leg

He's surely our weakest link, that Ghananian analyst got his analysis right

two SA players have been following Simon everywhere he goes like mtn

GMBOFASIA:
we were lucky to escape this first half

Nwabali saved us, we may need luck to win today

Good play from SA and thanks to our goal keeper

we need to dig out something to win this game

we need the first half to be over, their coach has exploited our weaknesses so well

minfelix:
our defense becoming porous

SA deserves to be ahead

our players look tired

if SA goes ahead, they deserve it, hoping they gas out so we can breathe

Thank God for the cooling break, SA with the momentum

SA playing well

We might be missing zaidu after all

Open game so far

Ppogbae:
Players that are one Yellow away from suspension:

Bassey
Mosses Simon
Ola Aina

hmmm

comodo:
See as everyone dey shiver for backwater league players.
If Magkopa, Mvala, Tau we're to be Nigerians, will they make the SE team Even the bench?? So what's all these fear for. If SA wins us with Sundowns players, it goes on to show that a league one plays in doesn't matter after all. No more no less. Man City & FC Zurich no dey the same level abeg.

it's funny, the South Africans are the ones afraid, it's the win against Morocco not even the win against Cape Verde (they all know they played rubbish) that's motivating them. Nothing more

Sportilitica:
Zaidu will be missed today

shebi we no like am me inclusive o am not hypocritical. Am waiting to be proved wrong today

na today we go know how important zaidu is today if he doesn't play

soetanoreoluwa:
Lol.
Sorry to digress you see that it is not our fault to be so prayerful and always fulfil up the worship centre in nigeria. We only find hope and trust in God cos govt has failed us. Lol.

I have a dream bfr our first match against EG which was drew and I saw smooth runs afterwards I refused to believe it cos the boys were not playing well plus I don't rate JPe at all.

If I tell you the scoreline I saw between civ and Congo I was shocked I can't tell anybody 😆 self.. I still didn't believe it lol. I just want to watch the match and enjoy.

nothing can shock anybody, the same CIV was beaten 4-0 by E-Guinea,

MetalJigsaw:
I have never seen one pundit opine that Osimhen should be benched. In fact they still see him as our danger man even with one goal. It's only the one Nairaland I'm seeing peolp exposing their ignorance.

A Boniface or Awoniyi is the only thing closest to Osimhen.

Every foreign media I have listened to have been full of praises for Oshimen

BankyGee:
After first game, Osimhen said something like, "I want to win the AFCON for Nigeria, when I do this, I'm done"

Make e be prank abeg o 🙏🏾

My mind sef no think of oshimen, let’s hope na prank as you said but players like musa, Omeruo, ekong perhaps may leave I hope it’s not more than that

ChrisKels:
2023 AFCON PLAYERS WITH THE MOST TACKLES

1 🇳🇬Calvin Bassey: 12
2 🇳🇬Ola Aina: 10
3 🇲🇷Ibrahima Keita: 10
4 🇨🇮Wilfried Singo: 9
5 🇬🇶Iván Salvador: 9
6 🇲🇷Omare Gassama: 8
7 🇲🇱Diadie Samassékou: 8
8 🇸🇳Krépin Diatta: 8
9 🇨🇩Gedeon Kalulu: 8
10 🇳🇬Frank Onyeka: 7

Bassey is the greatest revelation of this Afcon for the Eagles followed by Onyeka, we have known Aina before now but he has shone much more than a million stars!
