What a time it is make im no repeat that mistake of dribbling any keeper tomorrow o, na final be this. If he had scored against SA he would have been ahead for the MVP award, what a way to celebrate your anniversary. He's in form, he should try and convert to celebrate this anniversary |

We will need Simon tomorrow to help with Adingra otherwise I would have opined Moffi or Nacho should start alongside Osimhen. let them prove themselves on the pitch tomorrow, all these name-dropping no dey play ball, na so we no hear word on top Mabululu and co for Angola including SA keeper Ron Williams, make everyone show themselves for the game make we know who better pass. |

Joebie: Thats the point. Our players need all the motivation like they never met CIV before. A team that lost scandalously to EG 4-0. Chamged rheir coach and have managed to pull through to the finals in front of their home fans each game, have only one thing in their minds which is revenge. They are not under pressure to win the trophy because all hope seemed lost at a point. They are determined to beat us, and if they do, the trophy will just be an icing on the cake.
I repeat, what we need right now is the right minds around the players talking the right talk, not politicians which could be counter productive . but CIV has to prove that they are better than the Eagles on the pitch of play rather than overconfidence in the name of revenge. That was SA's mistake, they thought they were better than the Eagles in penalty kicks, you need to see their joy when extra time ended for a match they have not won. Na over confidence kill SA. What CIV has over the Eagles is the home support but they too have to play the game just like the Eagles. The better and most experienced side will win tomorrow. I've listened to some of our players, they know what's at stake tomorrow. CIV should come out and play rather than talk about revenge. |

I pray for Good Fortune for us tomorrow o. that lucky rhetoric was the same noise made after our 2013 Afcon win. We have a problem backtracking even when those we criticised have proven us wrong. Mujtahida: Hahaha hahaha, e no go work. There's a principle in law called volenti non fit injuria meaning if you willingly put yourself in a position and you suffer harm, you cannot claim damages. Do you know how many boxers and wrestlers and other athletes have died in the course of a game? You can't claim damages oo. The only thing just get insurance.
Shey na CAF put gun for their head and told them to watch the game?
Let's even talk of a more practical situation cos this one you talking about in-game decisions being influenced by the danger it poses to fans is outlandish. See that offside rule where they allow play to finish before calling for offside? What if a player gets injured due to not calling offside immediately as it used to be but allowing play you to go on and then rule offside. Meanwhile person don wound No point arguing, let's pray VAR does not affect our game negatively on Sunday. I understand we live in a society where there is no protection for the vulnerable so I see all of the points. |

Odunayaw: The environment you speak so highly of have tons of thesis. You're free to check the American Journalism of Medicine.
The buck rests squarely on the spectator [especially as he is nowhere near the stadium]. It is his responsibility to decide how far he can go.
And just this year a fan died from Cardiac arrest during a Bolton match. The 2014 WC recorded at least 3 at-home fans death due to cardiac arrest. were the deaths related to VAR? shebi it's because we still won the game, imagine it was 0-0 and we scored and it was canceled and 1-0 for naija became 1-0 for SA, do you know how many deaths we will be recording now? I can bet some researchers at FIFA are already looking into this Make we no argue too much, Euros is coming up in June, we go see how it will go there. |

Na the man fit our stubborn media and fans nature of complaining, just that he may dump us after this afcon. mostob: How? Not like the ref was wrong. Even without VAR, something of such can happen. I'm not trying to justifying anything but it is a matter of if your mind can't carry am, don't bother watching. What if one of the deceased already has an health issue prior to the match? The issue is did the VAR decision trigger anything for the individual? If a car hit somebody will you say what if the person has a prior health issue? Like I said earlier we see things differently in our clime. I’ve watched some foreign media and they can’t fathom that dramatic VAR decision. It’s the rule but the human impact can’t be ruled out in other environments . |

Mujtahida: Nooo. It was better they called the penalty. Decisions cannot be subjected to considerations of human frailty of those watching the game. It’s in Africa we think like this, in the Western world with these deaths happening an investigation will be conducted and once it’s established that the deaths are connected to the VAR decision, the rule will be adjusted. Especially when families of those who died begin to go to court to sue FIFA or whoever invented VAR. By the time they pay so much for damages, nobody will need to tell them to change the damn rule. |

Barryseal: By the way, I hope everyone on this thread is OK. Been reading alot today about comrades who lost their lives during yesterday's game. Read about a Nigerian who died after Oshimen's goal was cancelled and penalty awarded against. Talk about roller coaster of emotions. The last time I felt this sort of tension during Nigerians match was 2006 Afcon semi final against Tunisia. They started by misrepresenting our national anthem then to a score draw and penalties. I pissed on my body during that match walahi. Roger Lamier, the French Tunisian coach told a reporter years after that Nigeria gave him hypertension during that match. CAF is taking the VAR too seriously than those who originally invented it. What happened yesterday can never happen in EPL or anywhere in Europe, no matter the error they would have moved on cos they know the impact it can have on those watching the match anywhere. We don't care too much about human impact in Africa. It's insane for a team to be leading 2-0 and suddenly get back to 1:1. Human beings are not machines o, I repeat what happened yesterday will never happen in Europe, shebi we dey see wetin dey shele for epl. Call it bias, human lives are more important than any yeye rule. |

codemaniacs: He is playing anti-super eagles manner like Yakubu and Akpeyi.
It was after Akpeyi threw the ball into net I confirmed that some players stylishly sabotage the Super-Eagles or their teams. I disagree, lest we forget it’s not long he came back from an injury and from what we currently hear he’s still nursing an injury and also the stomach issue. You can see the South Africans went for that stomach in the first few minutes yesterday to worsen the injury. Dude is not back to full fitness but he’s the one carrying the team. I’ve listened to lots of foreign media and no one is condemning him but praising him instead for what he does for the team |
