TheSuperNerd: As for the result. Not reading much to it. The Egyptians were clearly aided by the referee. I mean even Dessers should have been given a penalty on 76mins or so for that ridiculous WWE move on him.
That and the offside controversy that led to the Egypt 2nd goal, the 50-50 calls mostly going the Egyptians' way and so forth.
I mean with VAR, this game either ends in a draw or a slim Nigeria win.
We all will meet VAR in Morocco so no hiding place, hopefully. Good to have you back Dr we thought like Ekong you have retired from the Nairaland team 😂 Welcome o so many waters have passed under the bridge in your absence. |

chuks404: you can state your points without sounding malignant. I have read your statements here and it oozes pain. You can actually make constructive criticism you know than making nff look like they are fools pushing for what they feel will be good for them. Whoever wins so be it but making it look that Nigeria is going through world cup through the back door for something that favours them doesn't make any sense . Hope you understand ? This back door narrative is one of the most insulting things I have ever seen. Just too emotional driven without intelligence |

Clint02: Why don't we park bus as well against these teams and stop conceding? My rantings are not fueled by my assessment of this friendly alone, but of our previous games too. This is a tournament we are going into and the team has to be critiqued wherever they are failing. So we are talking about tonight’s game don’t bring your emotions from the previous games into this one, this is a warm up game for the team as they head into Afcon. When the tournament proper starts then you can restart your emotions again especially if the team starts playing poorly but for this game tonight minus your emotions from the previous games there were more positives as the eagles stamped more of their authority in the second half |

If I were Egyptian I'd be screaming my heads off for being pegged back in our half and struggling to string passesi The negativity on this thread fit give person malaria. Dannyxy: do you know this is what even makes the case stronger by DrC laws, they are not Congolese till the renounce the other citizenship.
Is this thing not simple enough? FIFA can decide to look the other way but then fifa will most probably not look the other way because of a drc that was fraudulent. Exactly because the moment they obtain Belgian or English citizenship, they automatically lose Congolese citizenship according to DRC National laws, as you said, except that FIFA decides to look the other way; it's a watertight case. Nigeria normally won't dabble into this if they feel there was not a big issue after all. |

Bannedlargejr: You must be an illiterate. Wetin consign fifa with nationality law? If I fictitiously obtain another National team passport and send it to fifa, they should clear me when it was an obvious Theft? The only way that I see congo getting out of these is for the aforementioned players clearly indicating with Documented evidence of their Renouncing their other national team passport with evidence. For example, Aaron wan bissaka has to disclose with documentation of his renounciation of his British passport prior to November 11. Anything contrary, it sets a bad precedent on FIFA laws and its laws shouldn’t be respected. Players like Orban should be playing for the super eaglea If this matter doesn't go our way, we must cap that Orban guy right away, no time to waste! |

Imagine Nigeria had a no dual citizenship constitutional law, then we go give passport to iwobi and the rest without changing constitution to make the “eligible “ and deceive FIFA, if our opponents catch us, they will so punish us eh. We are actually one of the most liberal nations on earth and our laws sef no strong that’s why we feel other nations are like us, real mumu Nigerians. Dannyxy: So looking at this otilo for DRC except FIFA pity them, like we always say, rules are rules, and must be followed, don’t try to cheat.
Drc rule, no dual nationality, meaning you can’t be DrC and Another country citizen, it would have even be better if the players where originally drc and went to get other countries passport, then they would have technicalities, but even at that, it’s a long rope.
See what drc did, they don’t allow dual nationality, but went ahead to cap foreign players of drc heritage, there was no change of their laws, there was no renouncing of their foreign citizenship, you just went and gave them passport so they can play, that’s like a coach of 17 boys going to hire 25 years old to play an under 17 competition. They were fraudulent and documentation not done correctly, it’s either drc change their laws for football or players renounces, you cannot eat your cake and have it.
No matter how embarrassing Nigerians claim this is, as a route to qualify, the law is the law, and if fifa ignores this, it sets a precedent for countries to to start falsifying documents for football and get players to play for them. Simple in fact any player of naija descent out there in Europe or anywhere we go just cap dem Dey go, no time! |

Mujtahida: This your last sentence make me laugh.
People think it's personal but that's a projection of the Nigerian mind set where laws are not respected but are instead used as a tool to either favor one person or punish another person.
That's not Oyibo man's outlook. Outside the qualification process, Fifa does not care if Nigeria qualifies or not. They are not interested in favoring Nigeria or punishing Congo. Rather It's about the sanctity of the law. It's about consequences, it's about tomorrow.
If Congo failed to follow due process, the axe that fell on SA will fall on them. Shikena If the law say make Congo go do dna test for all the players they must produce the result 😂 no time if dem like make dem cry till next year! |
