The North African teams seem to have a better draw than others. My thoughts

Osihmen just know how to respond adequately whenever anyone talks trash.

They say he can’t dribble he will score an individual goal then they will later say he can’t do anything with the ball then he scores with a bicycle kick 😂

Genuine question, (and I come in peace grin)...

Why has similar support not been given to Wandering child/Chukwuka? He has written several posts trying to encourage fellow immigrants to aim higher and has shared his own successes/experiences to highlight what's possible especially if people work together as a community. He comes across as highly intelligent, but also humble. In response he's been criticised, laughed at ( "Aspire to Maguire" or something like that) and recently been accused of being "far removed from reality" and I don't recall anyone standing up for him (not that he needs it, I'm sure).
It’s because we are not intelligent like him! Hope you’re satisfied now?

Goke has made his alliance known long time ago. Even if Jedi is not here Goke will assume the role of his PA. Hence why I just read his post and move on. I’m sure he is in his DM asking for favours on how to relocate to CA which is not a bad thing. But that made him irrational and bias.
So this is really who you are? Doing cheap blackmail like Mtn (everywhere you go) 😂

Goal Osimhen! Victor and Sane are turning into something else. What a goal.
Is this the Osihmen Vincent Aboubakar saying he doesn't know what else to do with the ball but score? That goal had more to do with what Osihmen did with that ball than scoring. Osihmen just has a way of shutting the mouth of his critics, sha!

You're clearly very bitter. I'm not holding brief for him but it's clear to anyone who views it honestly that he has never talked about his accomplishments with the view to put anybody down.

As far as I can recall it's usually when it fits into a normal conversation or in response to people insinuating that he doesn't have options or as lavidaloca said, that he would suffer (which you conveniently ignored before starting these rants).
They are even praying he should get exposed and dragged. Someone they don’t even know what or how he looks like 😂

Thread went from fighting/bashing bad UK politicians / policies to Naija vs Naija bashing each other.

Meanwhile, TGIF, the fight is against UK politicians (the Naija ones are a lost cause).

Let love lead o abeg

😂 unfortunately that’s what the uk wants, to produce more of the likes of Kemi badenough that will turn on fellow Nigerians and make them feel bitter when they see immigrants thriving everywhere.

Just some posts above, we were just discussing how repulsive the habit of turning on ring lights and sharing illegal means of gaming the system. We usually also frown against a lack of ambition beyond the barest minimum level. Now, here is someone sharing their legitimate achievements. I wonder why anyone should have a problem with that. If anything, it should be a source of motivation, and not the other way round. Well, at least that's my own default POV on positive news. But then I guess to each their own ................
I wanted to mention this earlier but it will look as if am taking sides.

Honestly am ashamed of some of the posts here, we moved from discussing issues which affects us all especially as uk immigrants to attacking one another unnecessarily . But am I surprised? No cos that’s what the Uk and its policies does to your mind at times making you feel there’s no other place like the Uk to achieve your goals as an immigrant. Everyone had better wise up and focus more on themselves. Phew!

William Troost Ekong Retires from international football
I will always appreciate Ekong for his dedication to the team. He’s a great example and model for all foreign born players. He gave all in his prime. I will miss his personality, aura and fine spoken accent as Eagles captain. Cheers to Ekong!

The beauty of this thread is in our diverse views but let’s not let it become too personal cos no matter how hurtful we are all Nigerians which has brought us together into this thread in the first place. No matter the difference of opinions I respect you both. Thanks

I was going to say something similar that hope Komenkn is fine and perhaps those closer to him should help check on him. As controversial as his views are he loves Nigerian football and the national team and celebrates it whenever they succeed. He may not like some players but he’s truly passionate about our football

Assuming but not conceeding that there is a christian genocide in Nigeria, the perpetrators are not the kind of people who are interested in going to the USA. Such people (by definition if you think about it) are more likely to want to travel to places like the UAE or Saudi on vacation.
Even I who is a christian who does not need a visa to travel to the USA, have no interest in visiting the USA anymore. If you have truly travelled, you will realise just how backward and unappealing the USA is compared to many countries.

these Americans overate themselves.
It’s just an excuse to reduce visa issuance to Nigerians and other countries they don’t want. It’s all for their domestic politics in keeping their major political base which are the evangelicals. The govt must just be seen doing something to show to their people they are defending Christianity. That’s all! 😂

Delta and Ogun can do better and should be better, but Oyo is a huge disappointment as something is surely wrong with their financial engineering.

As for Enugu, if that governor continues like this in his second term, we may just be having another political gem for the future.

This is exactly what I meant when I said several moons ago that they need to snap back to reality and get rid of their "owo mi da" mentality like agberos in Lagos or they will never reap the benefits of legal immigration. They seem set on their extortion mentality and do not want to change with the times, unsurprising though as they can be extremely traditional and outrightly impervious to change

The world has moved past them but they do not want to face reality. Imagine Keir Stammer going on air to say China is a threat to the UK when China has surpassed them in arguably every single metric known to man.

Very delusional people sometimes who cant smell the coffee.

grin
😂 e don clear for your eye say no be only Lagos agbero dey ba? difference be say the ones for Lagos never digitise fully their mode of operations!

I've always wondered why we place an undue significance on what every loner says about us.

You don't need to be British in everyones eyes in thesame way you don't need to convert your neighbour before you can practice your religion.
The problem is that some of our folks just want to force themselves to be accepted because we are naturally emotional and not transactional like westerners. The other day I saw a content creator intelligently analysing the benefits of having a passport from a western nation and how it opens us so many trans border business opportunities telling folks that’s how they should be thinking. If people can have this shift in their mindset then you don’t bloody care what the natives think or how they see you. Having that second passport is for your own personal ambitions and goals and not to become an ethno national or whatever is called. The people who sold you the passport are simply doing business with you and their expectations is that you think that way too.

That alone can deter motivation.

Just came to point out something. Notice how Fulham manager, Marco Silva kept throwing in black players. Football is becoming more like a track and field games and in the coming years, black players will rule. Football is going to be more of how fast and how long you can run.

Skills, positioning and intelligence will be reduced by more of running.

Keep in mind you heard this first.
But here in Africa our national team players can’t even run na slowbie things

Watched the video and very interesting conversation. The issue is just skin colour but masquerading as ethnic nationalism. The remigration thing is just a joke 😂 that can never happen cos just like everywhere else in the world immigration is a thing cos take South Africa as an example imagine the blacks there begin to talk about remigration for the Afrikaans and so on even baba Trump Dey complain about white genocide in South Africa so let all these white nationalists go relax!
