Heard about it too. Such a stupid protest from Nigeria and Cameroon.

First of all, I don't believe FIFA will be willing to risk having any more drama and upsetting an entire country and possibly an entire continent by throwing DRC under the bus to favor Nigeria.

They're already dealing with so much backlash for the World Cup draw. You know how the average soccer fans think. Penalizing DRC by disqualifying will be perceived as nothing more than corruption to favor Nigeria. I won't be surprised if they just fine them and move on with their lives.

Also, aren't we ashamed that we keep trying desperately to find these backdoors to a tournament we didn't deserve to qualify for? This whole thing is pointless if you ask me. Count your losses and rebuild yourself. We need to stop this disgusting habit of looking for short cuts everywhere.
The problem is that if FIFA does not uphold its statutes, then it risks more future precedents that could be damaging to the game. This is why they had no choice but to uphold their rules when SA fielded an ineligible player against us, despite no one knowing initially.. I'm not sure how FIFA will handle this now, since Cameroon is also involved. Tunisia was the country that started all these player ineligibility things after a game had been won and lost. Perhaps FIFA should amend their statues that once a game has been played and decided, all eligibility issues and complaints will not be entertained. My thoughts.

I bet you this is what we will get if some of them ever become FA president

Maduka Okoye wouldn’t try this if the Super Eagles were going to the World Cup. He knows a stunt like this could earn him being frozen out of the squad by the coach. AFCON is the only major outing on the horizon, so he gambled.

But his judgement worries me. Nwabali’s injury issue has been public for days. Everybody knows Nwabali has been racing against time to be fit. Maduka had a real shot at starting, maybe even taking the number 1 spot with solid performances.
He has thrown that chance away. And chances like that don’t always come back.

He should face his club football. He has shown he's selfish, has a weak mentality and where his priority lies. Me, I want Maduka axed from the team forever.
That's it, the World Cup was on his mind and his target, but after not qualifying, so what? Dude looks like a fair-weather kind of player. If the Eagles hadn't done well in the last Afcon, I doubt he would have returned. Phew!

I’ve seen so many so called best or better players that when invited they just end disappointing us all. So much was said about Arokodare, even Dessers, Uche amongst others but at the end nothing extraordinary. As far as our core team players are in any other thing na just after thought. Most times it’s even players we don’t expect much from that performs like Fredericks and Onyeka.

Main reason for Okoye's omission

Okoye made it very clear that if he won’t be the starting goalkeeper at the AFCON, he won’t come for the tournament,” the source told SCORENigeria
If this is true he’s not a serious person, we got to the final of the last Afcon without him so who’s deceiving him he’s our best keeper?

Agree with elyte89. These people have not shown that the incorrect personnel is their issue. Even with the correct squad, these goats could not even qualify to the world cup. They could not even top a group where a team was deducted 3 points. Let these ones come and play their own lets see

Hilarious. The goofy grin the chap's wearing in the photo reminds one of a scene from one of the Police Academy movies where someone found himself in a bar whose clientele he'd unfortunately misidentified.

On another note, it appears the Reform chap threw some sort of petrol on the fire? He referred to the chap as a "campaigner", then said something about Commonwealth citizens being eligible to "stand [for office?] - which is not the case unless one is settled.
He may be referring to dual citizens, though 😂 you know, even with citizenship, they still don’t see people who are not born in the UK as British. It looks like he was referring to local council elections, actually, and not national elections.

There is still a significant disparity between those born in the UK but without British ancestry and those born abroad with citizenship. Even in the civil service, there are demarcations on what roles they can occupy

Fix your country and you won't attract the attention of others who donot mean well for your people
