HustlaOfLagos: Well, they are free to make changes as they deem fit so far it appeals to their base. It's all politics at the end of the day and the populace will vote for one who seems to tackle what they deem most important.
I am just waiting for the full implementation of the 10 year route so everything is final. I would honestly like to see who else they will blame after all is said and done.
They blamed EU and left
Students have gotten stick Legal immigrants have gotten stick Illegal ones have gotten some too
..Maybe they will point at the US and Canada next
It's being implemented in style, salary thresholds have gone up, Immigration skills charge for sponsors has gone up by over 30%, which will make it difficult for more companies to sponsor, and the medium skills list category can be wiped out or reviewed by the end of 2026. All these will ensure that not many will make it to either the finish line of 5 years or 10 years.
As usual the changes only impact hard working and law abiding immigrants while illegal ones or refugees don’t need A level English requirements to either enter or remain in the country. Abeg next base jare!
SymphonyRad: Exactly, we always struggle against those Congolese teams. I'd hope Cameroon beat DRC so we can meet Cameroon at the final, we know how to beat Cameroon these days.
We should avoid Cameroon o, na die be that one, dem go break our players leg tire! I prefer Congo, our top players can still squeeze us through them with their A game!
[quote author=HustlaOfLagos post=137137151]If you like speak spri spri English, join them to eat fish and pie, support every bad policy that's used to target and blame immigrants who look just like you...
... At the end of the day ... in the words of my famous friend, Jay-Z
Mujtahida: The search for Osimhen's partner in attack is on. Moffi Adams Appear to be the best candidates. Arokodare is out. We tried Boniface. Didn't work.
Arokodare can't be out, cos if Osihmen is out totally for a genuine reason, that's where he comes in
omo people take this WCQ personal o I don laugh tire, I saw a video of what happened after the match btw UAE and Qatar, UAE needed a draw while Qatar needed a win so Qatar won 2-1 omo stadium scatter o come see fight, mhen and you'll think such countries with all their wealth should be gentle omo no be so o
Secondly, I saw another video where one Benin boy just dey swear for naija say we no fit beat ordinary Lesotho we come dey show skill and power for them, e don curse osihmen finish chai omo people take this matter personal o!
Even for Cameroon for inside VIP box for stadium na so person dey rain insults on Sauel Eto people dey para o
chrisooblog: Also were we not victims of the away goal rule that Ghana used to knock us out last time even though UEFA didn't apply it for their own WCQ then.
in fact we don suffer no be small but many people no know
TheSuperNerd: They should rest. I know of the political undertones and happenings surrounding Traore's rule, USA's disapproval and his allegiance with Russia. But pls that is all politics. And fortunately not connected to happenings on the pitch or the best 2nd placed table.
Did USA also forsee Nigeria needing this rule back in March? Abegiii
BFA were knocked out because our GD beat theirs and the rule reemphasized since March 14, 2025 was strictly followed. Abi na America change the table or reduce their GD? Abeg rest this angle. It is not connected.
Burkina Faso is just overrating itself; play-offs do not mean qualification for the World Cup. Play-offs mean more expenses for any country with no guarantee of qualification for the World Cup. They should save their money instead to rebuild their shit hole country
caprikon: I feel his pain cos we could be on the wrong end of this rule at some point in the future.
CAF should ensure all the last games of the WCQ are played at the same time for fairness.
If there's any country that has been a victim of unfairness in football, it's Nigeria, which has cost us Afcon wins, WCQ, and the likes. I even think justice was done to us somehow, considering the undue advantage SA has had in this WCQ series.
minfelix: Though that system favoured us, but so unfair to many teams oo🤣🤣….CAF/FIFA going forward need to look for another way to balance things…Steve Yago is nearing his career end with grudges….this guy go soon comot cloth inside bathroom swe@r for CAF/FIFA just like Joe erico and Oliseh did to super eagles🤣🤣
Were we not victims of the head-to-head rule introduced for the 2006 World Cup that saw Angola qualify ahead of us? Make Burkina Faso go rest jor, na we suppose dey complain pass with SA playing most of their games in the same stadium, city, and country. Make no person provoke me, abeg. Is play-off automatic qualification?
RodgersAkpafu: My stint in the classroom when I was hustling as a student really opened my eyes
Even me learnt so much because I used to read the textbooks they leave behind, plus the PowerPoint slides on the Arbor (for those who have worked school before, we know what that is)
I wanted to flog my chemistry and physics teachers after I read the chemistry and physics text books here and even assisted a few teachers with the students
That's how a Nigerian will tell me Nigerian own is better
Funny
The only thing I didn't like was that IF a student doesn't wanna be serous with his life, they will just leave him to his devices (its the parents wahala not theirs)
But a Nigerian teacher will still try because we are a communal people
This is what they can learn from us
But apart from that Gba gbe
It's because of the agreed societal philosophy that no human should live his or her life subject to the dictates of his fellow human, which is good despite its downside.
lbrichman2: That's why I've been saying Benin were poor.. We conceded the midfield to them for long stretches of the game.. A better team would have camped in our half and punished us severely..
How do you even concede the midfield to a poor team, just how? Well, we should just remember that Gabon, DRC, or Cameroon won't do us any honours or respect in the play-offs, it will be do or die, so our boys better bring their A game from start to finish, any slip up or giveaway, o ti lo!
elyte89: But Dey were just passing around without any much threat upfront;maybe for one or two ,if not for dere keeper,d scoreline could av been 6-0
The early goal unsettled them, if they grew into the game it would have been harder for us. I think getting an early goal thru osihmen will always do the magic as the opposition will be too weary to launch forward. Remember we also got early goals against Rwanda away. There was this early goal attempt too by osihmen against Zimbabwe that hit the bar, had that got in Zimbabwe would have been roasted. Our midfield is still a problem cos our folks there don’t have the lungs to maintain consistency all through and if we don’t score early enough things start getting difficult to grind out a result
BascoVanVeli: Only thing I didn't like was allowing Benin to have the ball for way too long. That style of play isn't sustainable. U are basically asking the other team if they have the quality to beat you.
I thought I was the only one who noticed this, cos most people are too carried away with the scoreline, thinking we were 100%. It still boils down to having a more coordinated midfield. We are overworking our defence, and when they slip up, we'll blame them, leaving our midfielders who can't hold the ball for long enough to control more possession and the game.
It's the result I'm happy for, but am still not impressed with our play generally!
Have a conversation with a year 10 student here and compare it with an SS2 equivalent in Nigeria
NO BASIS for comparison. at all at all..
And btw let's compare like for like
Winchester and Eton vs Any school in Nigeria
then public schools in the worst areas of this country vs same in Nigeria
or even in between There is no basis for comparison
Rote memorisation is NOT education
Lets not even start with university education
I had two degrees in Nigeria and two here in Britain
The difference is clear
Na suffer suffer mentality wey don damage una na im dey make you think say Nigerian school system is better
The only two areas that I believe some UK schools no dey try is letting the kids do what they like, (in the sense of allowing them just be and picking their way, instead of goading to fields that will help them) and Behaviour (some trusts don't really care about behaviour in the schools that fall under them)
As for content and structure of education
FORGET IT
You're very right, that's the only minus in the education here, but all you said earlier is very true. The UK education or in the western world, is geared towards critical thinking and personal confidence. That's where we Nigerians are confused thinking the learning here is behind what is being taught back in Nigeria. My wife is a teacher, and she tells me these things. For example, in early childhood education, it is more about social interactions and environmental awareness; that's why you see the kids spend more time outside to know more about nature than in the classroom, but if na naija dem go force dem dey write number 1-1000 by force by fire . Honestly, I prefer the education system here and that's why you see a 20-year-old in the corporate sector able to pitch a presentation confidently before Senior Management, unlike Naija, where person go dey shake make e no make mistake. e clear o make we no lie!
chrisooblog: Yesterday is why I dey always dey him back like eczema. Remember how some people came for me last year for saying we wouldn't have gotten to the AFCON final without him.
our people are too emotional, no mind them, see a whole player dem dey abuse for Finidi, shior! I dey even find those guys on this thread wey dem say na bad character no make european clubs sign osihmen abi the european coaches do meeting on top say make dem no sign the player
BankyGee: I told you all Victor Osimhen's name will resonate round Europe. Clubs like Arsenal, Man Yoo and Liverpool go silently dey hit their heads for wall.
No be Lineker tell them say osihmen Dey disappear like wiliwili!
