I watch Norway matches, omo, those guys dey pass fire - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ball don dey Haaland leg, keeper don dey rooted for ground. Qualification for the World Cup is a reflection of where you truly are in your national football development. Let's not get it twisted; I would trade two or three African Cup of Nations titles for a World Cup ticket. After all, at the global stage, who truly values Afcon apart from us Africans?

We blame some North African countries for always qualifying for the World Cup and doing badly at the competition, but we forget that they continue to dominate African club continental competitions.

Most times, if the midfield is weak, there is so little your strikers can do, even if they are world-class. And that's the huge problem we have in our own team. The 2013 Afcon-winning team had no world-class strikers, but with midfielders like Onazi, Mikel, and Moses, it was just enough to pull through.

We underrate the importance of both the defensive and attacking midfield!

The Eagles need goals and that’s where I have my issues with them. They fire blanks too much.

I watched the video. I actually like Oliseh and I sometimes enjoy seeing his analysis but that thing he said was just dumb. We like spiritualizing trivial things in this country and that's why we don't take responsibility for our actions because we've made ourselves believe certain things are not in our control.

Oliseh and his 94 set just want everyone to continue to have the impression that we can never have players like them anymore. Infact, I only started taking the care pathway serious after a colleague used that to bring her parents in (I suspect). Folks had just retired in 9ja and built a house with proper opening ceremony. Within a year, I heard they were moving over - first thought it was a visit- only later got to realise it was full relocation and house was on the market. Baba is posting pics on the regular now. Ticha - a former regular here put her house on rent and moved to NZ with her kids cos she loved it. Vitually all my colleagues who moved over are married with kids...

I don't even want to make it a travel issue because it hardly is. It's all about unapologetically taking opportunities when they arise.

May our people receive sense and know that these opportunities are scarce and will not always be there. I know so many regretting now. I know folks who got Canada ITA here in this UK just two or three years ago but didn’t take it thinking they were super comfortable, now they are back in the pool praying night and day for favour. The same care pathway has been a stepping stone and blessing for so many to move to sustainable careers and better well being here in this Uk and other places in the world. It’s all about perspective and clarity about your why!
