The reason why kids from abroad should visit places like the galleria and shoprite is that their perception of Africa are of slums and deep poverty. So let them also see that there are Malls and shopping complexes in Lagos too. |
Here are a few places that I would recommend, hope they enjoy Lagos. The Palms Mall City Mall Funtopia Lekki New Yorkers The Galleria Ikoyi Club (Pony ride, Ikoyi Club Suya and Chapman highly recommended) Eleko beach Tarkwa Bay Unilag staff club National arts theatre. Nigeria’s acting president, Goodluck Jonathan, named Olusegun Aganga, who works at Goldman Sachs Group Inc., as finance minister in his new Cabinet, and replaced many of the ministers he dismissed two weeks ago. The former mines minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, was named as the new petroleum minister at a swearing-in ceremony today in the capital, Abuja. Jonathan has said that 13 former ministers will remain in the Cabinet. |
ALLISON-MADUEKE is sworn as Petroluem minister. |
This is because people are now being fired for non performance. It is a welcome development, now lets hope this last. Let's bring back the manufacturing industry back to Nigeria. |

Goodluck Jonathan has dissolved the Federal Executive Council (FEC) as part of efforts to rejuvenate his government, a competent source told Xinhua on Wednesday in the country's capital city Abuja. |
FINISH UP WHAT IS ON THE GROUND!!! Electricity. Infrastructure. Accountability in government. Niger Delta. We do not need anyone starting new projects that will not get finished, let's finish what has been started. |
Is this still available? |
Hi, I would like to view and have tried calling but no response. Do you have an email address so that we can arrange for a time tomorrow? |
Pittbaby:I think this would be a good enhancement to Nairaland. Lets rate agents, but I guess there should be a way to distinct between, TRADERs, BUYERs and USERs. |
I am beginning to believe this story that he is brain dead, that would be the only explanation for the complete lack of communication. If no one in the FEC has seen him or communicated with him in person, there is something wrong. |
Yayale Ahmed, secretary to the government of the federation (SGF), tells senate "I have not seen nor spoken to Yar’Adua," since he let for medical. I really would like to know NOW, who arranged the so called BBC interview then? Maduekwe said the same in London. Maybe the senate should ask Turai! It is not funny. |
This saying rings a bell " Anything a man can do, a woman can do better" I still do not believe that it is N500b, it does not make sense, how much does Oceanic have as a whole? Logically, it does not add up, so where did she get that kind of money from anyway (kickbacks, financing her own projects)? If she has access to that kind of money, I won't be surprised if she walks free and gets her property back. |
We await the move of Michael Aondoakaa the Attorney General and Minister of injustice. He will appeal or Veto the courts decision. By the way I hear that the UK and UAE have quoted Michael Aondoakaa that there is no Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in term of working relationship with the EFCC, so they would not be providing any assistance to the EFCC. This is in ralation to "UK, UAE Ignore EFCC's Request to Freeze Akingbola's Assets". |
@Beaf what can we do now?? Haba, how much longer!! Bad government is one of our main problems, we need a solution. How about if we start a campaign - Enough is enough!!!! |
Any more pictures? We need more of this type of peaceful protests. By the way how can we vote a government of the people, can we get rid of the corrupt politicians? Can Nairalanders start a campaign on who we think is the best person to rule or country come 2011? It would be a great idea if we can all go to the polling boths with our mobile phones and camcorders and make sure that the thieves do NOT steal our votes anymore. What can we do? |
![]() @Desthan "What is Yar' Adua now become? Osama Bin Laden? releasing audio messages (lol)" |
I agree with Atilla. ![]() We need that famous telephone conversation, for confirmation remember - Obasanjo asking: “Umaru, are you dead?” to which Yar'Adua replied, “I am alive”. Then Obasanjo asked, “What are you doing?” to which Yar'Adua responded, “I am laughing.” |
