Christianity EtcRe: What Is The Book Of Life, And How Do We Get In It? by Gombs(m):
OLAADEGBU:
Mentioned in Philippians and throughout Revelation, what is the Book of Life, and how do we get in it?
ola my friend. . .do your research well. . .moses spoke of the book of life, daniel too.

anyways, book of life is a book with names of all who is born into this world. the bible only spoke how a name is taken out,but not expressly how it gets in.

john gave us a hint on how a name gets in, and in the book of revelations,he speaks on how it is taken out.

in summary, your name got in the day you were born into this world,it never leaves it till you die in sin. this is contrary to what some teach, they claim a name is written when you get born again, and cleaned when you sin,and written again when you are forgiven, and the cycle continues.

whosoever dies in sin is blotted out, same is cast into the lake of fire.

Christianity Etc"Why Couldn't God Forgive Satan?" by Gombs(op): 10:45am On Dec 10, 2014
"The bible teaches us to forgive our enemies, even when they wrong us. What about God? Why couldn't He forgive Satan?"

Well, God did not forgive Satan, because forgiveness is based on sacrifice; someone must take responsibility for the wrongs. This is the reason most religions of the world have no provision for forgiveness; the only one that truly preaches forgiveness is Jesus, because He took responsibility of our sins.

Jesus died for ALL men, because He came as a man, but Satan is not a man, if he was, Jesus would have paid fully for him too, and since he is not man, there is no one to take responsibility for him. Therefore, he will answer for himself.
Christianity EtcGod Is Waiting For Your Praise by Gombs(op): 9:09am On Dec 10, 2014
Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed. Ps. 65:1

Many of you are praying and waiting on God for the answer to your petitions. But when you’re waiting on God for the answer, wait in an attitude of praise and thanksgiving. Wait in an attitude of expectancy! Wait on God in praise! Wait on God in faith! Prayer asks, but praise receives.

Praise receives the answer by faith and thanks God for the answer before the answer is actually visible to the natural man. Of course, there is a proper time to exercise both prayer and praise. Both prayer and praise are necessary and important. But after you’ve prayed and believed God for the answer based on His Word, that’s the time to stay in faith by praising Him. You can actually get out of faith and into unbelief by praying over and over again about the same petition, if you are praying as if God didn’t hear you the first time.

Yes, some kinds of prayer such as the prayer of intercession require diligent prayer over a period of time. But even then you need to stay in faith. Praise ensures that you keep your heart and mind in an attitude of faith; therefore, praise can actually hasten your answer.

There are different kinds of prayer, and all of them are valid in their place. However, the prayer of faith and the prayer of agreement only take a short time to pray when you pray in faith and believe God hears you. You don’t have to get into a long theological discourse with God. Just pray simply and pray straight from your heart.

Praise and thank Him today and always.... God Bless you

Christ Jesus—The ONLY Mediator - Wednesday, December 10th .

Pastor Chris

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all…(1 Timothy 2:5-6).

Our opening scripture is about the man, Christ Jesus: who He is, our conviction of His personality, origin, and purpose. There’s no other way for human beings to receive salvation and be reconciled to God except by Jesus Christ. He’s the one who bridges the gap and makes friendship and peace between God and men. This is our conviction about Christ; it’s enough motivation to preach the Gospel.

Acts 4:12 says, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” My conviction of this motivates me to preach the Gospel around the world. I’m convinced that there’s no salvation in any other, and I'm inspired and stirred by that thought. Man is doomed without Jesus; therefore, we can't be quiet or pretend as though there's another way. We can't wait too long to save souls, for there's no other way.

Man had become alienated from the life of God through Adam's transgression, but Jesus has reconciled us with the Father in the body of His flesh through death, and presented us holy, blameless and above reproach to the Father. He gave Himself as the payment for us; He paid what I owed, that I could never pay. He did the same for everyone in the world, but many still don't know it. That's why we must keep preaching the Gospel, because until they hear it, they can't believe it. And if they don't believe it, they'll never be saved.

Make soul-winning your life’s passion; let it be your greatest and most important goal in life. Having reconciled you to Himself by Jesus Christ, God has given you the ministry of reconciliation—the task of making others His friends. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 says, “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”

Prayer...
Dear Father, I thank you for the extraordinary love and affection you displayed towards me, through the vicarious death of Jesus, so as to bring me into an inseparable union with you. Thus, I live in glory, fully committed to leading men and women into the warmth and affection of your salvation and grace, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Further Study:
Colossians 2:13-14
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; ;

2 Corinthians 5:18
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

No Limitation For Words - Tuesday, December 9th .

Pastor Chris

By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth (Psalm 33:6).

The human body is a limitation of divinity. Let me explain this to you. When Jesus was tabernacled in human flesh, there were things He couldn’t do, because He was in the human body, even though He’s Himself God. For example, He couldn't continue every day, every hour, without getting tired; He had to sleep. Once, He was in the boat, and fell asleep, because He was tired.

How Jesus wanted to be free from that body, through the Holy Ghost! That's what He got for us, letting the Spirit loose in us. He couldn't even minister beyond Israel, as much as He loved the whole world; He was limited because He was a Jew. Even the Samaritan woman wouldn’t want to listen to Him. She said, “How can you ask me for water! You’re a Jew and I'm a Samaritan; we have no dealings with each other...” (Read John 4:9). Think about the Romans; they would have treated Him in like manner.

The limitation of the human body is the limitation of divinity in you. Jesus was the Word; yet, when He was sleeping, the “Word” wasn’t sleeping. The only reason He had to sleep was that the body was tired; the body needed rest. So what does that mean? It means that the essence of the human spirit—the human personality—is not the physical body, because of the body's obvious limitation.

God, however, designed divinity to be released through words! Words are illimitable, because they go into the realm of the spirit. You can speak from where you are and have things happen all over the world. That’s the power of words! You can speak from your closet, and it will have impact in Heaven.

Words! How important your words are! When your spirit is in sync with the Holy Spirit, your words become spirit and life, like the words of Jesus. So, when you have a situation to deal with, when you have changes to effect, meditate on the Word; soak your spirit in the Word until only the Word comes out of your mouth!

Confession...
I’m strong and courageous! I see glory, victory, success and triumph all around me. I see with the eyes of the Spirit, through the Word, my glorious heritage in Christ. My heart greatly rejoices, for in Christ I see my salvation, strength, courage, victory, and righteousness! Halleluiah!

Further Study:
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. ;

Isaiah 55:11
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

PastorKun is a very sincere Christian. The most honest I have had the privilege of listening to. It is easier for simpleminded Christians like you to think he is envious of Chris. After all, the Jews respected the Pharisees more than Christ and may have even thought that the Christ was envious of the Pharisees.

Happy birthday to God's Field Marshal. I could get teary-eyed talking about you and how you made me love God and his word. I remember stumbling into a CEC by chance and seeing the members stand up as you walked in to deliver the word. I remember the puzzled look of disgust that masked my face. That look soon phased out the more I listened. You have a unique way of sharing the word. Sometimes the anointing would be so strong that the hairs at the back of my head would be at attention. Other times my heart would burn with fire and an unquenching desire to change my world. The calling on you is not in doubt to anyone that is of the spirit. I remember listening to that message: the one very simple yet powerful, the one worth-hearing, and saying to myself "I know I would never be the same again". And true to it, I changed and am still changing into that very image that Christ wants me to be.

If I was to write about all the things I have gained from being mentored by you, I suppose all the books in the world would not be enough. So let me use this little corner of this thread, to join millions around the world to celebrate you.

Happy birthday sir!
I am almost teary...nice write up bro. Happy communion service

Dear Nora, I think you should always try to keep yourself week abreast with information before venting out on Nairaland. I seriously didn't want to say anything today even after I saw the Misheal guy seriously displaying uncalled anger. Anyway, back toy reason for commenting.
Left to Pasyor Chris, he wouldn't mind even though his bday isn't celebrated and most times he is taken by surprise at the things that happens at the celebration. His members love him so much and appreciates the way he has affected their lives with the word of God that they decide to celebrate him. I don't see how that is a bad thing.
Speaking of him telling his members to donate for the less privilege, there is an arm of the ministry called "The inner city mission". And the aim of the arm is to reach out to children in inner places of town, slumps, and the likes where they are suffering and aren't even noticed. The lives of these kids and their parents are Changed. There is even a school for them where they attend for free.
Part of the agenda for this bday apart from the inner city mission's normal practice is to reach the less privilege as it has always been done every other year. If you had a loveworld TV station, you would see this gestures.
This is little compared to what the Reach out Nigeria Project does for communities. Apart from distributing rhapsodies, there are many other community projects and skill squishy ion trainings done to commemorate our independence in Nigeria.
Everything has its time. Christ Embassy members feel their pastors should be celebrated and so it is!
Il stop here. Happy Sunday.
Simple and well said...you really took time to explain to Nora? You really haven't met her then. grin
