shdemidemi: Who is doing this heavenly prayers?Go read my post again. It said "heavenly prayer language" Let me explain it as I would to a 6yr old. It means its a prayer language ONLY heaven understands. Thanks for your time. If you still don't get it, I'm afraid you'd have to wait for Christ's return. |
Kenny4lyfe: Kenny4lyfe:I just had to comment, bidam tho tried. I admire his fighting spirit, cos some posters on NL are really tiring ![]() . I was at d backgroud watching, reading, laffing and praying God to fill with knowledge those who truly wanna know what Jesus came to do.Cos may think he came to die for sins of the world, and his blood brought us salvation through remission of sins. But that's not just all he did. Anyways, dats the topic for another day. Cheers man! |
shdemidemi: ^^^ I have a few questions for you bro. I will start by quoting Romans 8 v 23Sir, maybe you should read my post all over again...but this time, slowly This is what my post said This is why God has made available to us this Heavenly prayer language , that takes us beyond our infirmities (Greek:inability to get results) and help us pray with the Spirit making intercession with us through groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26.) |
OP A standing ovation and full round of applause from me. I said a prayer for you. You post was spot and well guided of His spirit. God bless you. |
Kenny4lyfe: And what's relevant to analyse the issue at hand is your brain yes?Hello kenny! ![]() @All I've read through the whole thread and deceided to comment on a whole lot of issues you folks brought up in defence that speaking in tongues is this or that. I'm afraid Bidam did much of his best to explain the importance of speaking in tongues, and half of the time, he sounded aggressive and impulsive, though some questions and posts were too outrageous to act otherwise. ![]() But let me point out and answer (not attempt to answer) the lingering questions in hope to put rest to this issue. If anyone still wanna be contentious, may God help him/her in search for the truth.I.WHAT IS SPEAKING IN TONGUES? First, let's look at a few things that speaking in tongues is NOT: 1.Tongues are NOT a status symbol, indicating that one Christian is more spiritual than another. The Corinthian church was a hotbed of tongues speaking, yet the Apostle Paul still chastised them for being carnal (1 Corinthians 3:3.) 2.Tongues are not a shortcut to instant spiritual maturity. 3.Tongues are not a hypnotic, zombie like state in which the person has no control of his faculties. Speaking in tongues is, to put it simply, Holy Spirit inspired speech in a language unknown to the speaker. As we will examine, it can be spoken in a Christian's private prayer life, or in a public worship service with interpretation. People have a natural hunger for the supernatural. Unfortunately, many turn to the false, satanic supernatural found in psychics, the New Age,and other cultic activity rather than seeking the true supernatural power of God. This is tragic. God is a supernatural God! He can fulfill the deepest longings of our hearts with His love and power. Tongues are one of the avenues that He works through in order to do this. II. ARE TONGUES STILL IN OPERATION TODAY? Yes, there are more Christians on earth today who speak in tongues than there have been at any other time in history! Although they have always been around in varying degrees throughout church history, there has been a strong revival of tongues in this century. It is true that the Bible refers to a time when tongues shall cease (1 Corinthians 13: (1).However, this same passage(chpt 13) also tells us when this will happen: When perfection comes, we see face to face, and we know, even as we are known (verses 10-12.) Have these other verses been fulfilled yet? Obviously not, since true perfection will not happen until after Jesus returns (1 John 3:2-3; Ephesians 5:27.) We are still very much "seeing through a glass darkly," as Paul put it in verse 12 .Until the veil of our mortality is removed, and we see Him face to face, our communication with God will always be filtered through our finite, human limitations. We don't always know how to pray properly. This is why God has made available to us this Heavenly prayer language, that takes us beyond our infirmities (Greek:inability to get results) and help us pray with the Spirit making intercession with us through groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26.) According to respected Greek scholar P.C. Nelson, the literal Greek translation of this implies "groanings which cannot be uttered in articulate speech." We need the Holy Spirit to help us this way just as much, if not more, than the first century church did. In 1 Corinthians 1:7, Paul expresses his desire that we come behind in no spiritual gift, as we wait for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. In other words, until Jesus does return, the charismatic gifts of the Spirit, including tongues, will be in full operation, and we should not be lacking, or come behind, in having these gifts in our own lives. III.HOW DOES SPEAKING IN TONGUES OPERATE? In order to answer this question properly, we must look at the fact that the Bible describes three different manifestations of speaking in tongues: 1-Evidential tongues-The initial evidence when someone is baptized in the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1- 4;10:44-46;19:2-7.) 2-Intercessory tongues-the ability to pray in other tongues, or "In the Spirit" (1 Corinthians 14:14- 16; Ephesians 6:18;Jude 20) in order to pray beyond our limited human understanding , speak mysteries to God ( 1 Corinthians 14:2) and edify (build up) ourselves (1 Corinthians 14:4.) 3-The ministry gift of tongues, described in 1 Corinthians chapters 12 and 14, involves giving a message in tongues in a public worship service, which is to be interpreted (12:10).This is a powerful sign to unbelievers ( 14:22).This gift is only given in certain situations, as the Spirit wills. Therefore, not all Christians are used in this gift (12:30.) IV. WEREN'T TONGUES GIVEN SO THAT THE EARLY CHURCH COULD PREACH THE GOSPEL IN FOREIGN NATIONS WHERE THEY DIDN'T KNOW THE LANGUAGES? I once read an article by a certain denominational minister in which he tried to explain tongues by saying that, when Jesus commissioned His disciples to go into all the world, He didn't want them to spend all of their time taking language classes, so He gave them tongues to preach in foreign nations. While I don't question that this brother meant well, this theory is simply not Biblical. It is true that on the Day of Pentecost, the people all heard the works of God proclaimed in their own language (Acts 2:11). However, this was not preaching. When it came time to preach, notice that Peter preached in a language understood by the entire crowd. Nowhere in the Bible do we ever see an example of a person preaching in tongues. V.ARE TONGUES HUMAN LANGUAGES -They can be, but are not necessarily. They can also be Heavenly languages-tongues of angels (1 Corinthians 13:1.) VI.WHY DIDN'T JESUS SPEAK IN TONGUES? Actually, I'm not totally sure that He didn't. Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit (Luke 10:21,) and groaned in the Spirit (John11:33.) This terminology is very similar to the term "Praying in the Spirit," which Paul uses to describe praying in tongues (1 Corinthians 14: 14-16.) However, even if Jesus did not speak in tongues, there are several possible explanations: 1.Since He was God, there were no languages He didn't know. 2.Since He was sinless, He had perfect communication with the Father, and therefore, He did not need tongues. 3.He was the last person to function as a prophet under the Old Covenant. Tongues are a New Testament phenomenon. Even if Jesus didn't personally speak in tongues, He Himself stated that tongues would be a normative sign to follow believers (Mark 16:17). The entire New Testament was written by people who spoke in tongues. VII. ARE TONGUES THE LEAST OF THE GIFTS? ARE THEY REALLY THAT IMPORTANT? In 1 Corinthians 12, the Apostle Paul gives us a basic primer on the nine Gifts of the Holy Spirit: Wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, tongues and interpretation of tongues. Since tongues and interpretation are the last Gift Paul mentions, some have taken this to mean that tongues are the least important of the Gifts, and that we shouldn't really be concerned with them. However, I would respectfully reply that this argument is based on a very presumptuous and inconsistent approach to Biblical interpretation. Chronological order of how something is listed is not necessarily an indication of importance. For example, in 1 Corinthians 13:13 , Paul tells us that faith, hope, and love remain, yet the greatest of these is love, in spite of the fact that it is listed last. Likewise, in a list of sinful activities recorded in Galatians 5:19-21 , murder is named near the end of the list. Does that mean that murder is a less serious sin than the others? Of course not. Paul definitely did not view tongues as being unimportant. In fact, he devotes an entire chapter in the Bible to teaching on the subject (1 Corinthians 14). In this chapter, he tells the Corinthian believers that he desires that they all speak in tongues (verse 5), and thanks God that he speaks in tongues more than all of them! (verse 18) Three times in Scripture we are exhorted to covet (Pursue with passion) the Gifts of the Holy Spirit-including tongues (1 Corinthians 12:31; 14:1, 39, the same Greek word is used in all of these Scriptures.) Note that this is worded as a commandment, not an option. To downplay or dishonor any of God's gifts is to dishonor God Himself. May we never, ever fall into this trap. VIII.ARE TONGUES SOMETHING TO BE FEARED? Not at all. Tongues are a wonderful tool God has given His people to enjoy His presence more fully and intimately, and to make us more effective in our service for Him. Being a supernatural phenomenon, speaking in tongues is approached somewhat hesitantly by many Christians. However, this is nothing new. In the Bible, when God's presence showed up in a tangible manner, it was not unusual for onlookers to respond with fear. We see this in events like the angelic vision the shepherds had when Jesus was born (Luke 2:8-12,) when the disciples saw Jesus walk on water (Mark 6:45-50,) and when John had his vision of the risen Jesus (Revelation 1:4-17.) Notice that each time, the first reaction of the people who witnessed these supernatural occurrences was to be afraid. However, in each of these cases, these people were assured to "Fear not," or "Be not afraid." In Luke 11:9-13, Jesus makes the solemn promise that if you ask God for bread, He isn't going to give you a stone. According to verse 13,the context of this verse is asking the Father for the gift of the Holy Spirit. The work of the Holy Spirit in a Christian's life is something to be cherished, not feared. It is the purpose of this writ to share with you one of the important ways that the Spirit does work in people's lives to draw us closer to Him, and to the ultimate goal: Christlikeness. As one of my favorite Scriptures, 2 Corinthians 3:18, puts it so beautifully: But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. In conclusion, speaking in tongues is not necessary for all Christian, if you don't speak in tongues, and lived righteously, you will surely make heaven. You can have the holyspirit in you, and still don't speak in tongues, because it's a gift you have to ask of the father, and he and only he can give you utterance. But the thing is without speaking in tongues you will NOT live in full potential of the Holyspirit in you. You won't be able to pray as you ought to, you can't cast out devils, you can't do/live in the miraculous, you will be so limited in almost all sphere, because speaking in tongues builds you up like an edifice, gives you insight into deep secrets and mysteries, and so so so much more. Lastly, I usually answer folks who asked me, "must I speak in tongues? Eh??" I answer with a smile "is it a must to live supernaturally?" Or "is it a must to be a Christian"? The answers to the above both is NO! God bless. *forgive my typos and the long essay |

Ayatullah:Sir, Paul was NOT a founder of Christianity, he persecuted the Church (he was a staunch Judaism follower who tot he was doing God some good by persecuting Christians), There's no founder of Christianity. Jesus wasn't a religious leader, nor founder, nor martyr...the believers were first called Christians in antioch, it was the folks of then who called them Christians meaning Christ-like. If Jesus as you said worshipped in Jew's way (Judaism) how comes the Jewish leaders wanted him dead for the way he tot the scriptures? How comes he didn't wash as they did? How comes he broke Jewish Sabbath traditions, and so much more. And Paul did meet Jesus. Acts 9 New International Version (NIV) Saul’s Conversion 1 Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest 2 and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem. 3 As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. 4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” 5 “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. 6 “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” Notice the high priest (who was jewish, if jesus was Jewish worshiper as you said, he would have aided Saul, won't He!? Saul was later called Paul), and that Jesus met with Paul. I can guess you are a muslim, but if you are not, try study the bible before spewing falsity. Thanks for stopping by sir, Kind regards. |

Be Confident: The Word Never Fails! · Monday, August 26th · Pastor Chris Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: (Philippians 1:6). There’re those who sometimes think the Lord is "a bit slow" in delivering on His promises, and then they try to "help" or "fix" things for Him their own way; that’s wrong! The trouble isn’t with God, but with men, when they haven’t mixed the Word with faith. Take the story of Abraham and Sarah as a case in point. When Abraham was seventy-five years old and Sarah, sixty-five, God gave them the promise of an offspring (read Genesis 17:1- .Ten years later, they still hadn’t seen any descendants. Then, Sarah, who at this time believed she had passed the age of childbearing, proposed that Abraham took Hagar, her Egyptian maid, to bear him a child: perhaps, God’s Word could come to pass through her. Abraham concurred to Sarah’s suggestion. A child indeed came from this relationship—Ishmael. However, this singular act brought untold frustrations to Sarah herself (read Genesis 16), and other incalculable problems to Isaac and his seed, and the conflict continues today between the seed of Isaac and the seed of Ismael. The Lord never fails or disappoints. He however expects us to mix His Word with faith at all times; that’s what brings about the reality in the "now" of our lives. Hebrews 11:1 says "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." When God gives you His Word, He expects your absolute trust and confidence in Him to bring it to pass. His Word is dependable; it never fails. Jesus emphasized this in Mark 13:31 when He said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away." Trust in the Lord wholeheartedly, and rest your faith on His Word. Don’t use human wisdom or ideas to try to work things out for Him; don’t "rationalize" His Word. Be confident that He’ll deliver as promised, for He’s not a man that He should lie. "So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word" (Hebrews 10:23 AMP). Prayer Dear Father, my confidence in your Word is unshakeable; for I know that all your promises are "yea and amen!" I thank you for filling my life with pleasantness, and directing me in the path of glory and excellence, through the Spirit and by the Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. f u r t h e r s t u d y: James 1:3; Psalms 118:8-9 Daily Scripture Reading 1 Year Reading Plan : 1 Corinthians 10:14-11:1, Psalms 139-141 2 Year Reading Plan : Luke 19:1-10 1 Samuel 14 |
Superior To Death · sunday, August 25th Pastor Chris For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith (Philippians 1:23-25) This is inspiring! The Apostle Paul here was trying to decide whether to live or to die. This tells us that death is subject to us; we reign over death. Until Jesus came, Satan had the keys of death. Men and women were all their lifetime subject to bondage because of the fear of death. However, Jesus put an end to that through His victory over Satan, death, and the grave. He thus liberated all men from the fear of death. Hebrews 2:14-15 says, "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." When Jesus died, He went to hell, the devil’s territory, defeated him and the cohorts of darkness, and took back the keys of death and hell: "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death" (Revelations 1:18). He dealt with the problem of death when He arose triumphantly from the dead, ushering man into a new life. Today, no one who’s born again need fear death, for Jesus has defeated death: it’s the last enemy that will be destroyed, but already, it’s been defeated. Today, Satan has no authority to take anybody’s life at will because he doesn’t have the power of death anymore. He can only make empty threats, and try to deceive men or make them destroy themselves. Refuse to let death have the dominion. Recall the Master’s charge in Matthew 10:8; He said, "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give." He gave us dominion, not only over Satan, sickness and disease, but over death as well. Blessed be God! Confession Christ lives in me; His life and immortality have been unveiled in my spirit! I’m a partaker of the God-life— a life that’s superior to sickness, disease, Satan, and death! I walk in dominion today over death and everything associated with darkness, for I dwell in the realm of life. Glory to God! f u r t h e r s t u d y: 2 Timothy 1:8-10;1 Corinthians 15:55-57 Daily Scripture Reading 1 Year Reading Plan : 1 Corinthians 10:1-13, Psalms 135-138 2 Year Reading Plan : Luke 18:35-43 1 Samuel 13 |
The Right To Use The Name Of Jesus! · Saturday, August 24th Pastor Anita Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth (Philippians 2:9-10). The nineteenth chapter of the book of Acts gives us an interesting account of certain vagabond Jews, exorcists, who attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out devils. The Bible names the seven sons of Sceva as culprits; they had seen the Apostle Paul heal the sick and cast out devils in the Name of Jesus and presumed they could do the same. Acts 19:13 says they "…took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, we adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth." Following their action, the man with the evil spirit attacked and prevailed against them, such that they ran out of the house naked and wounded (Acts 19:16). This shows that not everybody is given the right to use the Name of Jesus; only Christians have such a right! Only those who are born again have the right and authority to cast out devils in His Name; they’re the ones given the power of attorney to use that Name by law. Jesus said in Mark 16:17, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils…." Notice that He was specific as to those He said could cast out devils in His Name: the believing ones. So if you’re born again, happy are you; it means you have the right to use the Name of Jesus; it belongs to you; and you can bless the world with that Name. However, if you’re not born again, your only right to the Name of Jesus is to call upon Him for salvation. That’s the way to come into Christ. Jesus said in John 14:6, "…I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Romans 10:13 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." When you call on His name because you believe in Him, and then confess His Lordship over your life, He becomes your Lord. His Name is named upon you from that moment; and you can use it against the devil, sickness, disease, infirmities and the negativities of life. Prayer Dear Father, I thank you for my salvation, and the legal right it has conferred on me to use the Name of Jesus. I live in and by the power of that Name today; and I declare, that I’m making progress with giant strides in Jesus’ Name. Amen. f u r t h e r s t u d y: Acts 4:12; John 16:23-24 Daily Scripture Reading 1 Year Reading Plan : 1 Corinthians 9, Psalms 128-134 2 Year Reading Plan : Luke 18:28-34, 1 Samuel 11-12 |
Zikkyy: Ask your pastor. he is the one saying everything is inside you. sowing seed for what purpose when everything is inside you?Sir, seeds are sown to activate a harvest. Now, since everything is inside us, we draw out monies to sow from within us, through faith filled words in line with what God says. Sowing and reaping is a principle in the bible, same as giving and receiving. You CAN'T receive without giving (except you now use diabolic means). So in short, you call forth monies from within God's spirit in you, through faith filled words, to sow ( give) in order to get a harvest (receive). If you have a plot of land (Jesus said the heart is the field, from parable of the sower), and you don't sow (you don't give tithes, prophetic seeds, offerings, etc), your field (heart) will definitely grow weeds (unwanted stuffs like poverty, frustration, envy, disease, etc grows in your life). You'd be rare lucky to have a few beneficial plants like mango, maize, etc probably thrown into your field by passer by (people praying to God to bless you). Worse is the tree/plant is usually few and don't live for long, because they are either uncared for (you still don't wanna change your habit) for short lived.. It's a semi parable , I hope you get it now, if you still don't, we'd have to wait for Jesus' coming, to explain to you himself. Semi parable o! I didn't say Jesus' parable of the sower is same as my own analogy. I'm not saying Jesus said the seed the sower sowed was likened to monies. This is my own parable o! |

Chibuebem: I agree. God is the author of good, but he punishes sin too.God doesn't 'punish' for sin. Jesus paid fully for sin. So, no one will ever pay d price of sin, except that person rejects Jesus' payment (dies in sin, unbelief in Jesus).Look what happen, He sets life and death for us to choose. He now says life is eternal bliss with God and Death is eternal damnation n torment. He now let's us choose. Now damnation(death) is for those who heeded to the devil's instructions. So he doesn't punish per se, we just made the choice of damnation if we reject his commands. He won't force us to choose life, and he doesn't punish you for choosing death. Its all our choice. If we chose death (damnation), then we have to face d tune of it, so see, God dint sentence you to damnation, you did. |

striktlymi: Hey Gombs,Tnk you sir for your question. Let's read James 1 from verses 13-15 NIV 13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. God CANNOT behold evil, there's no darkness in him, if he wanna effect whatever purpose on Earth he uses his Word. God's Word (Bible) is His Wisdom. So like I said, when he wanna effect any kinda purpose he uses his Words Psalms 107v19-20 AMP 19 Then they cry to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivers them out of their distresses. 20 He sends forth His word and heals them and rescues them from the pit and destruction. God does not function outside his words. |

Gen 1v 31 31 And God saw every thing that he had made , and, behold, it was very good And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. The bible recorded that ALL God created was not just good, but VERY good. Question is, where did evil come from? God never created evil, because evil is NOT a kind of good, and also because ALL God created was good. Evil is what happens when the love of God is not in us (No wonder Jesus gave us the best commandment-LOVE, and Love is the fulfillment of Moses' Laws- Romans 13v8). What then, does it mean to Love God? John 14v15 New English Translation Bible "If you love me, you will obey my commandments." The proof of loving God is keeping his Words. How then can we Keep his Words if we don't know them? John 14:21 New International Version (NIV) 21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.” This is not a promise! It's a statement of fact! Meaning to love God, we have to get hold of His Words, keep them and He will SURELY manifest himself to us. So, what then? The Devil was once an Angel, he didn't have the love of God in him (didn't keep God's command). He then brought evil to being, since evil is the result of what happens when we don't love God. So poverty, pain, sickness, disease, envy, hate, unforgiveness, murder, Natural disasters, etc became of the Devil, because Evil is the opposite of Good. God created ALL good things as we saw above, and the Devil through his action begot evil and its fruits. But what about Natural Disasters, why does God allow them to happen? Who Created them? Let's see it as thus, when you see a brand new mercedes Car, you go on admiring it, till you saw a massive dent at one part of the car. You won't conclude the manufacturers designed the car that way, would you? Same here. The bible recorded in Gen 1v 1-2 KJV 1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. There was a heaven and an Earth. God now casted down from heaven, the Devil and his cohorts down to the Earth after their rebellion/disobedience/evil. Now after the devil was casted down with his cohorts, look what they did to the Earth God (who creates good) created. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. The Earth was a chaotic mass, nothing was working, it was rendered Void, by who?? The devil. The earth has those dents because of the devil. But God, came along and started fixing things. Till he fixed it all, and rested. But the Devil still has the powers God allocated him as an Arch Angel, God never collected them because Romans 11v29 English Standard Version Says For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. In other words when God gives something to you, he never takes it back, no matter how evil you turn afterwards. So, the devil still having those powers, continues to dent the Earth with it, causing more harm to the Earth (suffering, pain, disease, etc). God will not stop him( not that he can't), because legally, the devil rules the earth, because God casted him down here. No wonder Jesus said "you are in the world, but not of this World". So, he averts devils plans of destruction through his Sons on Earth (Christians). That's a legal way, because man lives here on Earth, and God now decided to Live in man(those who believes in Jesus) through the HolySpirit. He then stops the antics of the devil through believers In Jesus Christ ONLY, and he can only do that When we pray. Note that God WILL DO NOTHING on Earth if we don't pray, it doesn't matter how ravaged the Earth gets through the works of Satan, he will not interfere. That's why Jesus said in Luke 18v1 "men ought to always pray, and not faith". He went on and on saying we should ASK not Complain-Ask(ask means make a request he did not say complain to, for God knows your heart, he's seen dat concern of urs, he just needs you to ASK of him anything) the Father ANYTHING in my name, and He will do it for you", mark 11 v22 he said, "HAVE FAITH IN GOD". You may ask, Must we Pray? Doesn't he see the disasters and Pain? Shey he said He'd not Sleep nor Slumber, shey he said, shey he said, but he said...etc In Ezekiel 36 God promised a lot for His people, he said he would enrich them, restore them, he will put his spirit in them and cause them to walk in his statutes, that he'd dwell in the land, he will save them from disasters, buy yet after saying all these goodies to them, see what he said in verse 37 Ezekiel 36v37 AMP 37 Thus says the Lord God: For this also I will let the house of Israel inquire of Me to do it for them; ... He still wanted them to Pray(ASK of him, prayer is asking not complaining). We must pray (ask) because he'd only do for us what we ask, he won't do for us what we didn't ask for, no matter how long you suffer in for example poverty, he is not gonna change dat for you, except you ask for a change. He's moved by faith, not tears, not complains, not rebellion. So, those disasters happen because those affected don't pray (ask) God for aversion or change in that situation. He doesn't need a whole Nation to pray, he just need one man with and earnest prayer in FAITH. James 5v16-17. Then imagine what a hundred would do, or thousands or millions would do in earnest prayer You see why Jesus said we should GO and tell ALL Creature (not just man), the good news (gospel)? Because if the nation knew this, we'd be better off. If they knew that instead of complaining of bad governments and no jobs, and corruption of government officials, if they quit complaining about bad economy and disasters, and diseases and so on, if the quit complaining and instead get praying, things would be long better? Israelites stayed 40yrs in d wilderness not for disobedience, not for lying or any such, but for COMPLAINING. God marveled at their unbelief, even after he split a sea in front of them, they still complained after, brought quails to d wilderness, brought water out of a rock, they still complained after etc they still complained..twas supposed to be a 40day journey. But rather than for them to pray about a difficult situation, they Complained. In Conclusion, God wants us well, He will only have one you (no you ever existed before you or will after you), He is always trying to get close to us, He wants us to be partakers of divinity, to leave like gods which we are (psalms 82v6, Exodus 7v1), this is why Christianity is NOT a religion. God did not initiate Evil and Negativity. James 1v17 New International Version Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. God Bless you. |
Wow! I remember in the bible when God wanted to make a help meet for Adam, he didn't go back to creation, because he was done creating, and Adam showed up when He had finished creation works and was resting...rather he knew what Adam needed was inside of Adam himself, he then brought out of Adam what Adam needed (Woman). its wonderful to know that ALL we'd ever need in this Life is in the Word of God, hence if we have the word in us, we have ALL things we'd ever need in this life.
