Good morning everyone. Let me ask.
Have you ever heard someone was refused in error. The refusal was letter reversed in the same application not that the person reapplied. Has anyone ever heard of such? |

nayantunde: Thanks for your prompt contribution,i have drafted LOE and SOP for my re-submission can you please proofread for me? I don't consider myself a guru o. I only contributed based on what I've seen and read on here. I wouldn't know what to look out for. I personally used the sop format posted here and followed the tips posted here too on how to write your sop. Can't remember the contributors but do a search or check page 1. |

nayantunde: Senior in the house can you give your insight on this GCMS note:
“I am not satisfied that the applicant would leave Canada at the end of their stay as a temporary resident, I note that: the client is married or has dependants or states to have close family ties in their home country, but is not sufficiently established. The study plan does not appear reasonable given the applicant’s employment and education history. I note that: the client proposed studies are not reasonable given their career path taking the applicant current employment situation into consideration, the employment does not demonstrate that the applicant’s is sufficiently well established that the applicant would leave Canada at the end of a authorised stay”
Profile Application submitted on 23/03/2020,refused on 15/09/2020. Study Accounting from University and graduate in year 2000 Propose course of study:Personal support and child care DLI: Canadian Career Education College,Ontairo.
Document submitted: Letter of explaination, waec result, university cert, first aid cert from Medicalworld Nigeria,IELTS,letter of commendation from employer, enrollment and LOA,CAC cert,NYSC,Bank statement with balance of #14,680,345.73,invoice of part tuition paid, survey & deed of agreement of my property, int'l passport data page, police cert,my birth cert, completed & signed cic forms, passport photograph,my children birth cert, high school testimonial, past emplyment and resignation letters.
I will like to have your advice as am planning to reapply.
Thank you. This application is a career change right? From accounting to personal and child care support. Did you state why in your sop? And may have to show steps you have taken towards the change. I read here once someone even did free udemy or cousera courses and submitted the certificates to show steps he has taken towards the change. Accounting to personal and child care support is a huge leap. The gcms note kept hammering education and employment history. Career change is possible so fear not. Let others weigh in. It will end in praise |

Adunola20: Hello Everyone, I just thought I should post this in case anyone needs the information.
After getting my PPR in October 2020, I did not get any response from IRCC regarding my children's application. I sent emails to all the email addresses posted on this forum. But I kept getting generic responses.
I got to know I needed written authorization for my kids. I sent an email requesting for written authorization and expedition of their visas.
This is the email: IRCC.COVID-TravelExemptions-Exemptionsdevoyage-COVID.IRCC@cic.gc.ca
This email is for those who need written authorization for travel exemption This doesn't apply to those with study visa.
The following day, I got their PPR. In about a week, I got their written authorization.
For those who want to apply for kids and spouses during this pandemic or are yet to receive the visas for their immediate family members. Read this webpage:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/visitors/visa.html
If there is anyone who has travelled to Canada with their kids, can you please share your experience? Thank you. Wow... Thanks for this. I haven't gotten my ppr yet (Sept application) I hope this is not the delay? I applied with my 2 children. All medicals passed. Thanks again for this update. Let me go read the link thoroughly |

BaesDiary: Thanks so much. My Hubby's CRS score came out as 432 with band 7 and 456 with band 9 when we checked. Do you think we still have a good chance with EE? Have you calculated with your own profile? If you have more than 3 years work experience you'd score the full transferability points (100) Anyways please try and first exhaust your EE and PNP options first (if your hubby's work experience and education are the same and his NOC is in demand in Saskatchewan go for it. Also check other provinces) I did the same and my score is stuck at 445 so I'm opting for study route (genuinely too as I'm changing career) my plan is land while studying I'll see how I can incorporate learning French so that my WES won't expire I don't have stress to go through that trauma with my school again (it took 7 months) So please first exhaust your EE/PNP PR options while arranging docs for study. Good luck It will end in praise |

BaesDiary: Hello everyone. Thank you all for this beautiful thread. I have some questions, and it would be so appreciated if I can get answers.
My hubby, 34YRO, has M.Sc in Information Technology with 8 years relecant experience. I am 32 years old, i have M.Sc with a CGPA of 4.2 and CGPA of 4.3 in my B.Sc. I am employed, but in a completely different field entirely. I look forward to doing my PHD with full funding, and I am already compiling emails to send to prospective supervisors. However, I will like to migrate to Canada with my hubby and baby.
1.What do you think is the best route for us? Should we go through EE or PhD route through me?
2. If we are going through PHD route, what is the possibility of going with my family?
3. If going through scholarship route for PhD, what is the minimum amount of POF required?
4. Is it compulsory to attach CV when emailing supervisors?
Thank you all. Both your profiles looks solid. Don't you want to go through Express entry? Both have MSC, smash ielts and I believe you'll meet the cut off. |

DETAILED TIMELINE **Warning Super long post ahead**
Dreams really come true, if you want something. Go for it, fight for it. Don't give up for whatever reasons. It never occurred to me that this whole thing took over a year till now. Some people advised me to just give up and have her focus on her school in Nigeria. Others asked me to not pressure myself to bring a sibling less than one yr after my arrival and focus on settling but I just wanted a better opportunity for my sis. One I never had. The thought that I have to pay so much in tuition yearly whilst getting still getting my shiitss together in this country, freaks me out sometimes. But I know in 5-10 yrs time, (God's willing) I will look back and be glad I made that decision.
End of story If you'd like to see a video version kindly check out my YouTube channel and Subscribe link in Signature. Yesterday someone who my hubby helped years back and have even forgotten sef came back with the biggest cow I've ever seen to say thank you to him. Gave my kids 10k each in 200 naira mint. I understand the fear of what lies ahead but do it afraid. The reward is bigger than you think. Not that you are doing it for the reward sef but the fulfillment your heart feels. The good Lord equip and empower you to do exploits. As you cater for His children, He too will be your good Shepherd providing all you need and guiding you in the way of His light. Thank you for what you did for your sister. Your children will never lack help. Merry Christmas |

Whispering: Hello Paul4canada
Thank you for this update.
I had actually suspected this may happen after I read a post from evergold about authorization letters.
I plan to travel on the 6th with my 3 kids but since theirs aren't study visas, I was worried they may not be allowed to fly. I've applied for this authorization letters but also worried that with the holiday and breaks, we may not beat the deadline. I'm honestly tired with all the back and forth.
Please, aside from their visas and authorization letter, was your wife asked to produce any other documents for your daughter? Hi there. I applied with my kids...still waiting for approval. What is this authorization letter you speak of? How can one get it? Please keep us updated if its not too much to ask. I pray you meet your deadline. Compliments of the Season |

Paul4canada: My wife and daughter not allowed to fly to Canada via Lufthansa yesterday. Please learn from my mistake. My wife was cleared after presenting several documents, Eg. A valid job offer in Canada, while my daughter was not allowed to fly, an infant of 3 yrs old. SOWP visa application was made to together with my kid application, upon approval, my wife Visa annotated as Worker, while my daughter's Visa annotated Visitor. Due to his annotation, my daughter's was not allowed to fly. Visitors are not allowed to come to Canada.
We spent over 4 hours explaining that they are not coming as a visitor, the kid is a dependent. Lesson, Make sure u get all requirements on ground like a JOB offer, spouse Pay Subs, Accommodation, Copy of husband permit, exemption to fly letter, Authorization letter ( Apply 14 days earlier before departure) ArriveCan App, etc. Wait o...so I applied with my 2 kids and obviously theirs will say visitor. What documents am I to get to prove they are accompanying dependents for my study application? |

I'm not. I'm actually going via study permit route. Was helping a friend find out medical procedure for parents with special needs child/children. I was hoping people on here with PR will have more info. Please can you share the testimony here or send me a link to join the group so I can read up on it? Thank you so much for responding. There seem to be no information about going with a special needs child/children what to expect Komed: Are you on the post ITA/AOR group on telegram.

Merry Christmas Anyone Goodbetterbest: Good morning everyone and compliments of the season. Please I'll like to ask those with special needs children how their medical went.
A friend applied with her son for study permit her own medical has been updated to pass but her son's own is still pending. He has mild autism no medical complications just delayed speech. During medical examination she said the doctor also drew his blood and said if further evaluation is needed she'll be contacted by IRCC. Anyone here know what to expect or what else she should do? She has raised web form and resubmitted his e-medical slip.
I read previously that such cases are sent for psychological evaluation but upon request from IRCC. Is this still the case?
Please anyone with info please throw more light on this. Thank you |
