There is no self deceit in believeing that everything has to be sold at a profit. It is why, at the end of the day, many people can afford to pay for stuff. And to make their working environment better in a way.

If you want cheap fuel, you either pay the kind of taxes that can fund a subsidy adequately, or you pay the market price. The profit motive is why the USA, which you admire, and Trump, whom you admire, are rich.

The reason for these refineries is to reduce the price of fuel bros. At least there should be competition in the market and the price of fuel should be cheaper.
