eph12:Manchester United are 140 years old. Only three managers have won the league. 1. ERNEST MAGNALL 2. MATT BUSBY 3. ALEX FERGUSON. This is football heritage according to Jose Mourinho. I am not under any delusion or forlorn hope that Ruben Amorim can win this tough league even if he loads this team with 22 footballers that can play his system. I have seen enough football to know in my mind that Ruben Amorim is NOT the one. He lacks the capacity. If INEOS trust him with money this summer I assure you that before December we will be discussing this same issue of a new manager. |
ogugwa1992:This is old news now. This woman is a serial blackmailer with an exaggerated impression of her own beauty. I have no use for Akpabio who comes across as a buffoon but this woman is only accusing him of sexual harassment because she was removed as the chair person of a senate committee. No more no less. |
Peterobiisathie:Take anything from this loqacious charge and bail lawyer with a pinch of salt. |
CapitalCee:@Bolded, Please watch your language. You don't want to go that route with me. Post your thoughts and leave me alone to post my own. In all the 140 years of Manchester United's existence only 3 managers have been able to win the Premier league or it's precursor the old first division. Ernest Magnall,Matt Busby and Alex Ferguson. And be informed that Ferguson has 13 out of the total 20 titles. There is reason for this. This is a tough tough league. If you believe Amorim can win the Premier league in the next ten years you are entitled to your opinion but just keep the insults to yourself. My last response to you. |
With the exception of Benfica,Porto and probably Sporting Lisbon the standard of the remaining clubs in the Portuguese Primeira Liga are very poor. At best majority of those teams are English championship standard. Majority of the managers in the league are average at best. It was easy for Amorim to ride roughshod over such teams playing his so called system. On the other hand the English Premier league is a different kettle of tea. Personally I would be pleasantly surprised if Amorim is able to get over Arsenal tomorrow and Real Sociedad on Thursday. He just does not have the capacity. |
chidiokay:How did Ambode become Governor? How did Obasa become speaker? How did Meranda become deputy speaker? How did Sanwo Olu become Governor? None of the mentioned are the most cerebral or the best candidate for the aforementioned positions. They were all selected and chosen by the jagavan. If you don't believe this go and try to contest to be an ordinary councillor and see if you can win without being ordained by Bola Ahmed Tinubu. When you answer these questions then you understand where I am coming from. You don't bite the finger that feeds you! |
chidiokay:Calm down. Little drops of water make an ocean. Mojisola Meranda and all the members of Lagos state assembly house KNOW that they became members of that assembly after bowing down to Tinubu. Why are they trying to upset the apple cart? If I get into an organisation through subservience to a God father it will be very foolhardy and senseless to try to upset the apple cart of a Godfather halfway into the game. |
Ebubu:FA&FO.... Lol....😆 |
Playing Andre Onana in goal puts your team 1-0 behind before the game starts. A walking accident waiting to happen. |
surgical:Tinubu is being sensible. Obasa is a man that controls multitudes in Agage. It is only sensible to placate such an individual. A leper can overturn a cup of milk which he cannot churn. |
Ebubu:Obasa is not stronger than Tinubu, but Obasa controls a large swathe of Lagos territory called Agege. It is sensible to kill a mosquito perched on your scrotum with native intelligence. |
Jamiuokolaa:I have watched football long enough to tell you that next season will be worse. With this manager I just cannot see United going anywhere even if he loads the team with players that can play his so called system. By next season he will be completely stripped nake_d and exposed as the fraud that he really is. |
Manchester United's season should be over by Thursday. Then the deluded hope shifts to next season when Amorim obtains the players to play the system....lol... |
ogugwa1992:This woman sounds like a blackmailer . |
We all know how this Amorim charade will end next season except we are deluding ourselves. There will be only one end... |
larride:Is the Rio Ferdinand podcast part of pre and post match interviews? Here is the coach running his mouth loquaciously as usual while on the football field we see NOTHING! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzSCBeLJc6k?si=7ZE_sQox49tFQ7jk |
If the coach spent more time with his players instead of conducting interviews with journalists all the time, maybe he could get the team to perform better. |
The number of excuses being made for Ruben Amorim and his glaring failure is quite amusing. Amorim was brought in to repair the poor form of this team under Eric Ten Hag and so far he has been failing woefully and talkative Amorim has broken all number of records in failure at this club and he should be called out. People criticise the players as not being good enough to play the system but is it the players that make Amorim to be so locquacious, talkative and brash in the press while consistently throwing his team under the bus? As I have said before Amorim keeps on giving me Andre Villas Boas vibes and everybody knows how that saga at Chelsea ended, |
ChristineC:FORMATION. No coach should rigidly insist on playing only one formation. Formations should be flexible to suit the peculiarities of each opponent. |
engrelvis:The only reason United fans are assured that they have avoided relegation is because Soton;Leicester and Ipswich town are hopelessly incompetent teams and can't win a game to save their lives. United will survive this season and could possibly play Champions league football next season if they manage to win the Europa league. However I just can't see Amorim lasting at this football club. He will be found out and exposed next season when he has purportedly signed players to fit into his so called system. He will probably be gone by January 2026. He is just too stubborn, too loqacious and technically poor to survive in this cut throat league. He could survive in the Portuguese league being rigid and refusing to compromise. I just can't see him surviving I'm the Premier league without being very flexible. |
Here we go again.... United will never achieve anything with this dodgy goalkeeper.... |
It is time that the legislative arm of government sit down and pass a law that makes production, storage or selling of fake drugs punishable by the death penalty. These merchants of death who claim they are doing business need to feel the long arm of the law on their evil shoulders. The government has handled these evil people with kid gloves for long enough. A deterrent must be set and examples made of some of them. |
Sheuns:It is not everyone you meet on the Internet that was born after the year 2000. Many of us are witnesses to these events physically. I rest my case. |
Mynd44:Those who were alive when Babangida was military President know these tactics very very well. Babangida's modus operandi has always been to be a shadowy, treacherous and controversial propagandist. He would bring a bombshell topic and lob it into the populace and allow them fight and tear themselves apart while he stood on the sidelines and watched with glee before finally stepping in to give his predetermined judgement when the populace were spent pummeling themselves. He used the tactics during the SFEM debates. He used the tactics during the political debates before banning and unbanning old politicians after forcefully creating two political parties by Fiat. He was also sponsoring shadowy political jobbers like Arthur Nzeribe and his ABN to scuttle the whole political process. Now the self acclaimed Evil Genius has written a book which has got Nigerians fighting themselves while Babangida retreats to his 50 bedroom mansion in Minna laughing in glee in his wheel chair. A leopard can never change its spots. |
Sheuns:Lol....😀😀 Gen Z..... |
main24:No football team has a birthright to remain in a league. If the team keeps bringing their C game to the table they certainly will end up being relegated into the next level. Manchester United in their current financial status can not contemplate relegation because it would be a disaster of monumental proportion from which they may not recover. |
main24:Please be careful what you wish for. United are over one billion pounds sterling in debt. There is no money to sign players except there is a sale of some players in the club. Amorim has got the team hooked at the lower half of the league table . Payments are made to clubs according to where they finish on the league table. So except United stay in this league and try to win the Europa so they can get into the Champions league through the back door I just don't see where the money to sign players who will suit Amorim's system is coming from. The money certainly wouldn't come out if Manchester United are relegated into the Championship. |
Andre Onana keeps parrying the ball back to the feet of on rushing attackers/opponents. While Maguire and De ligt are too slow and similar to be in the back three defence line. Amorim really needs to occasionally re-adjust his tactics. He appears just too rigid and stubborn in his formation. |
Ashley Young should be in an Olympics diving team. |
Goal. Ugarte. |
