Computers / Re: How Fast Is MTN BIS With Wi-free Or Sandwich by Gorimakpa(m): 10:47am On Feb 11, 2013
So which one is the FASTEST! And most consistent? I have tried sandwich, c proxy, and pd proxy, they are all unreliable. Pd proxy used to be ok, but for a while it has been SLOW and the servers are unreliable. You experts should simply tell us the one with the highest download speeds and the most reliable server. Period! I want to decide fast which one to pay for.

lindiwey: Hmmmn!which kain long process b dis? I don't tink it takes dt long o.my sista works wit a FG agency I cn rememba she ws cald to pik up her letter just a week after d interview..

I wonder oh. Wats so special about nsitf that employment list must be paraded up and down from senate to aso rock to supreme court before calling successful candidates. Many other govt agencies have done recruitment and it was not so. People have been waiting for this since november. If this is true, then it is not good news. The longer this kind of list parades around, the more the chances of the list being tampered with by substituting names and all that. I'm really fed up with this nonsense.it's better to release the list so that we would move on with our lives, whether our name is there or not!

Dexx: Hi, everyone! i've been reading all comments and i can imagine people who have been expectant since November last year. Lemme come out straight, was with the AGM (Training) o Tuesday and he told me that the board has not even made final decisions on the list and after that, the list will be sent to FCC, when FCC confirms they will send it to the senate, after that it'll go back to FCC who will make the final decision before it"ll come back to the NSITF. n essence the list is not coming out till late APRIL or early MAY.

I DESPERATELY hope this info is not correct. Some of us cannot wait much longer, we have run out of oxygen. Somebofy else should please kindly provide counter info. On FEBRUARY we stand!!

phoebeconsult: I wasn't a junior staff in fact i was an Officer 2...a step before a supervisor....its looks rosy on the outside if not why is there a large turn over of staff and as such the need for massive recruitment

This makes sense. That's the problem with many private one man companies. They treat workers like trash. Its just that a jobless man has no choice but to apply and get the job first before worrying about working conditions.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Still A Jobseeker? How Have You Been Coping? by Gorimakpa(m): 4:41pm On Feb 04, 2013
i have been working on and off for three years since after nysc, none can be called a good job. Just managing, and earning less than one needs to settle down and start living an enjohbale life. Yet I have written countless tests and attended several interviews with many big organisations, government agencies etc. No way. At the end of the day, you would hear that some people with connection got employed in these places through the back door.

The bitter truth is that 95% of the good jobs in naija especially government, top companies, etc go to those with connections. The rest of us who dont have connections are left to scramble for the 5% left, and manage all the other poor paying and unstable jobs. Its good to be optimistic, but it is also not good to deceive yourself in order to avoid disappointment. The sad thing is that some of us have clocked around 30 years, and you know that almost all the good companies now would tell you they want only applicants that are less than 26 years, with 2.1 bla bla. How does one cope?

the solution is to keep trying your luck, and attend events where you may meet influential top shots, and tell them your situation. Sometimes one can get big connection from a stranger, not only from your family member.

Glo has stopped working since last night, and hasn't worked so far this morning. Not just glo blackberry, but also gloflat as well. Location is Ajao Estate Area in Lagos. To the honest the network is the least stable in Nigeria. Always having problems. tried to call their customer care and 444 but no way.

keside001: Hi House, i called Mr Peter but he refused to release any info to me n said he doesnt knw when our AP letter is coming out. I just got NSITF HR's number Mrs Olufunke Aleshinloye 08023014170 n Alhaji Munir Abubakar MD NSITF 08033010963. Gud luck guyz. I blv our AP letters will come out this week.

How do you expect him to give you any info? Does he know you? Its not a wise idea to post these men's numbers here for some strangers to start disturbing them. That will only make matters worse. People who know them personally can contact them and share info with us instead of just splashing their number here for anybody to start calling unnecessarily.

Meanwhile, bros luluosas, what happens when I exhaust my 3gig data limit before the end of the subscription period (30 days)? Is there a way I can resubscribe immediately to another plan, or do I have to wait until the expiration period after a month? Have you tried it?
Phones / Re: Glo Blackberry Plans On Phones And Other Devices by Gorimakpa(m): 11:41pm On Jan 09, 2013
Meen dis thing is excellent. I can't believe it. I've already downloaded almost 2gig today and the thing is still pending activation. Wow. The best part is that unlike the mtn bis, one does not need any useless vpn like pd proxy or sandwich to browse. I hope glo would not stop it anytime soon o....after all, airtel's own has been working for more than a year now.

The only problem is the frequent disconnection, i hope there is a solution to dat.

Meanwhile, how will i know when the bis is finally activated? Will i receive a notification sms or do i have to keep sending status to 777 to check?

babarazy: The amount of data u used will be deducted when ur subscription is confirmed!. It happened to me.

lol, thank God I asked oh. I was about storming some sites to download heavy duty pc games and movies.
Phones / Re: Glo Blackberry Plans On Phones And Other Devices by Gorimakpa(m): 8:26am On Jan 09, 2013
luluosas:
No! No!! No!!! You are not wasting the N1,400. Just continue browsing as you are actually browsing FREE until it is activated. Keep on enjoying.

Thanks sir!!! I just tried it now, and it seems to be browsing, even though myy bis status is still pending when i check 777. Does this mean I can download any amount of gig i want for now? And how long does it actually take before the bis is activated to the 3g?

Meanwhile the network disconnects too often joor, and i have to reconnect. That may not be much fun when i use it on my pc through joikuspot hotspot on my phone.

Abeg ogas in the house help oh! I sent the comonth glo bis activation code since last night, and up till now, it is still pending and has not been activated (when i send status to 777). Maybe it is because I cannot remove the battery of my phone nokia e7. What can i do? I can't afford to waste the 1400 deducted from my balance. Thanks guys.

This is very sad. Very very sad. So things are so bad now that a whole graduate would be doing househelp for N15k a month. I advise you use your savings to do petty business for now while searching for another job.

Meanwhile, how did you manage to save N100k from your NYSC year? With the small alawee. I assume you are a female, only females can save like that, since they would enjoy a lot of free food, awoof and other things from toasters and all that.

pitoski: @samfena. I think u r right. the number is 2000 plus. But how many people willthey take.

Rubbish, how did the number get to 2,000 plus again. I thought it was only a few, maybe 400-500 that were invited this second time. Only for the number to balloon to 2000 strange faces, which means that we're back to square one like the last round of recruitment - man know man, sources, hijacking of slots, etc. How many people would be selected from this 2000? In fact, this people are frustrating themselves, not us. Mtscheww.

Celebrities / Re: D'banj Owns Mo' Hits And Don Jazzy Is His Artist - Interview With Ebony Magazine by Gorimakpa(m): 6:46am On Mar 14, 2012
bayooooooo: Dbanj is the public face of the group, well known and most productive based on the number of hits. What does D Jazzy contribute apart from being the "boss" dangling meaningless stick at every public space? He does not write songs, he can not sing, he does not foot the bills (does not have the majority shares in Mo Hits). None in Mo Hits can actually at the moment compete with Dbanj. Beyond the shores of Nigeria, who knows Don jazzy?
A dude in Jamaica, Australia, Kenya, SA or whatever watching Dbanj on YouTube knows nothing about Don Jazzy.

And all this your bias-tainted rantings mean that D'Banj legally owns Mo'Hits? Seems some of you get the thrill from being utterly senseless. Why did Dbanj not state in the interview that he is the most productive member of Mo'Hits, or that he is the biggest artist on the record label, or that he is their cash cow. Why did he have to LIE that he OWNS Mo'Hits? And numbskulls like you would justify that because he is the biggest artist on the label?
www.mohitsrecords.com/about/

It's just like Biggie claiming that he owned Bad Boy Records simply because he was the biggest artist and Puff Daddy was an unproductive leech. Would that have made any sense?

Imagine asking the fooooolish question "what does Don Jazzy contribute apart from being the boss dangling meaningless stick". Ode mani boboyi sha. Do you know what a producer/record company executive does? Let alone one that is widely acclaimed for being the best in the industry? Seems you have a shamefully limited knowledge of music.
