Like you rightly said,Xiaomi is a better phone (When compared with others of the same price range) but then, the downside of it is that you must be extra careful with the product. I mean, just getting a compatible screen guard becomes a herculean task as it had to be shipped to Nigeria. Will you be able to cope with that? We don't know what might happen tomorrow, what if the screen gets broken, how will you repair it?
This is what is going to happen, you might have to come down to Lagos since most sellers and those that affirm to be Xiaomi repairers are majorly based in lag, imagine the time it would take, now, for the parts to be shipped, it will also take some days and finally for it it get repaired. So,if perhaps your phone develops a screen problem, it will take days to get it fixed.
If you can cope will this then I will adjudicate for you to get a Xiaomi product. I love it though, those are the cons,I haven't updated my phone so I don't know what others are but hey, cheers.

Regarding screen protectors and other accessories, you save yourself the stress by ordering along with the phone, don wait for your current screen protector to die on you before buying extra ( to avoid delays). As for repairs, I don't understand you, you mean we take our devices to Lagos for repairs? I have replaced my own screen twice now, done for friends around me using Xiaomi and LEeco devices, some have changed charging ports and earpiece ports, all done with different phone repairers located over 250km from Lagos. From experience, it's even easier to work on Xiaomi devices compared to what we have here, you'll know why if you open up the devices wink

Hey guys, Xiaomi is indeed an awesome brand with great phones. But the risk of using the phone in Nigeria (no xiaomi office here for repairs) is quite high. Also it seems getting the global version to Nigeria is risky( the issue BTW noobody and the other guy). Because the phone might get bricked if I try to update it.
So my question is, is it worth it? Getting the phone to Nigeria or should I just go with infinix ( for the safety of familiarity). Even though xiaomi is better. Thanks

Just state your budget, you'll be given the best available device to pick from depending on your priority, there's no ish about using any of their devices here, just ask questions and you'll be fine, many who fell into the hands of dubious sellers didn't ask to get enough info.

Breakdown : when you load #1000, dem go give u #2000 bonus airtime to call all network @55k/s (way exorbitant of course) but If u divide this by 5, u get an an equivalent of #400 @11k/s. Na d cheapest call rate I kw of for 9ja with MTN and Airtel, and the first calls of the day dey more expensive actually.

Las las when u suscribe, u get 3.6gig, so its actually #600 for 3.6gig and #400 for calls, all with #1000 wink

It is as stated, they have many misleading information about some Xiaomi phones, for instance they said the Mi 8 lite doesn't come the with an Sd card slot.
