Thanks. I did that. It appears i didn't press the power button hard enough. I tried the volume down + power buttons again and the fastboot icon appeared. I pressed the volume up. It went off. Then i pressed the power button hard enough and it finally came on. Whew!!! What a relief! �

Hi guys. I have a problem. My note 4 x froze and went off since yesterday evening when i tried to get to WhatsApp. I tried to switch it on but it won't come on at all. I plugged the original charger to see it it would make it come on. Instead the green indicator light turned on and remained that way after the charger was unplugged. Bear in mind that I didn't install any app or any update before that. My battery was also full too.

I googled and tried a few suggestions: pressing up and down volume button + power button. No response. I tried plugging to the laptop since it worked for a couple of people. The laptop responded but did not recognize my phone.

The last update i made was to Miui V9.5.10.0 NCFMIFA stable.

Anyone with a solution?

Hold just the power button for as long as 15 secs after plugging the device and see the response.

This time, I flashed in the dummy file, even flashed the twrp boot into the device, flashed cam2api also.
But upon all, when I used the manual camera compatibility app to check, it still showed red ticks to show that cam2api hasn't been enabled.
And when I tried booting into twrp recovery again by pressing volume up and power button, it booked into stock recovery.
I don't know why the twrp isn't staying
Will I need to flash lazy flasher??

Flash twrp again, and don't reboot. Instead after flashing twrp, use it to flash lazy flasher before rebooting.

Yes you can and you'll need to re-enable camera2api after updating.

Available only for the Vietnamese market, look at getting something of a least 3 gig ram, you can consider the Redmi 5.

I took pictures with my RN5 rear camera (first time I did that after 1 month of getting the phone) and I was totally thrilled. The rear camera is great, the portrait mode is just wonderful. I took the same pictures with my friend's infinix note 5 and the infinix looked like crap. My friend has literally dumped her 2 weeks old infinix and turned my RN5 to her 'default' camera phone. Lol

From ur assertions the only device that can satisfy you is iPhone coz even guyz are still flashing and modding the Galaxy Note 9.

Techies are insatiable. I used to be one when i was using a Samsung galaxy phone. But getting the RN6 pro i discovered that..
1. I can hardly spot much difference in display. This is sharp enough for me.

2. I don't need viper4android for good music coz the default equalizer is over good.

3. I don't need modding for fastness coz this device is damn fast.

4. I dont need mod for cam coz d camera is simply crazy.. Even night shots..

5. I don't need mod for changing U.I coz theming on MIUI is madly flawless and its just too fluid.

6. Battery Life is great and phone doesn't get hot even on heavy usage.

I use a modded iOS 12 theme not coz i want to feel like lol.. Even Iphone 6s feels like shit near this mobile. I use it coz of its simplicity same way i use cheetah keyboard instead of Gboard...

For the first time i am using a phone and i am almost 100% satisfied with stock things. Honestly, considering price, functionality and battery life, Xiaomi over Samsung and Iphones.. Save for galaxy note 9, atleast that one has 4kmah ba3.

The one wey weak me na tech advisor. Even almighty gsm arena most times gives inaccurate information on devices.

Which earpiece u dey use sef? If u nr dey use any of the Memt x5s, Rock Zircon, or uiisii hm 7 then hmmmm .

Can I flash a developer rom on a stable rom from updater?

Yes, but both roms must be on the same miui level (miui 9 stable to miui 9 developer or miui 10 stable to miui 10 developer). Note that you can't return back to Stable rom easily unless you unlock bootloader and flash the fastboot rom. You'll also lose all your files when migrating, so back up necessary files.
