Thanks for the response. Is the xiaomi camera that bad, the front and back, e.g when compared to a phone like Gionee S6s
Hehehehe, I tire, didn't say the camera is bad, and should be better than the Gionee s6s.

And also long term xiaomi redmi note 4 users, how has It been thus far, any hanging or Lags, or excessive heating, would you recommend it. Thanks, awaiting ur response/s
No hanging, no heat at all, coolest device have handled, great design. You should go for the Huawei only because of camera because it's better, but the Redmi note 4 trumps the Huawei in every other department.

V8. 2.5.0
Sorry ooo, I mean the size of the download, if it's around 50mb, you can proceed, if it's about 1.5gig, no need to update unless you have spare data to waste, there's no noticeable change after updating.

Shina! Is this 2017 moniker necessary? You have been on this forum since 2008 so why not just trade with any of your other user names like the yomo...or kazzo...? The toon...has closed so let's leave that one out!

Sends first or escrow your choice!
Hope you guys are good now, no need to be afraid of him, let's assume the words you both traded didn't happen and let's move on, noobody can have almost all active members of the Xiaomi thread beat their chests for him, he is legit.

Its high time we faced our fate and buy what we need now ooo, exchange rate might even get worse, remember when it was predicted on this thread around December/January that things might not remain the same in future, hence the need to get what we need asap.

with about 4 hours SOT I still have 40% this morning though I use it to chat alone and update the ROM but failed at 89% and restart which is the third time and I give up
Download updates manually to avoid waste of data and incomplete rom downloads.

Plz I'm not tech savvy. I saw a notification on my newly bought note 4 global for update and I don't know weather to click the update icon. Does it requires special configuration after I click "update"?
No special configuration, you just click to reboot and wait for phone to come up, that's it. What's the story size of the download let's see if it's worth it?

Thanks, it worked.

I haven't done any update since I got the phone. I didn't want issues arising after update. How does one go about updates, safely. Thanks
Don't worry, just follow the thread, when the official rom comes out, we will all rock it together here.

Good morning house, My redmi 4x refuses to charge or switch off. Pls can someone guide me through on how to get out of this maze. Thanks
Have you done what udemzyudex? please your response is needed. Those of us using Redmi 4/4x should immediately update to official roms when they eventually get released, to curb these unstable issues some of us experience.

Now, I think I should just give up on this recovery ish! I just discovered that not only did my files just disappear but the ROM was downgraded to v8.2.2.0 from V8.2.4.0! What kinda nonsense be that!!!

Last week I decided to upgrade to v8.2.5.0, my download of the ROM was 99% when I noticed the connection was off. I restarted the connection and it continued. I successfully downloaded the file and decided to install at a later date, unfortunately, by the time I woke up, the already confirmed 14??MB file was nowhere to be found. I should've known!!

Just learnt my lesson the hard way. Chai! BlackBerry,
I salute you o. Android, you na no do me good for this one by using this stupid MTP connection protocol o. Na God go judge the person wey make it impossible to recover files on Android.

Only God can judge.... angry cry
So sorry, I think it has to do with the update you said, it's generally safer to download the updates manually, still think there should be a way of recovery, maybe you should update again (please manually download from miui), hopefully those files will remain there and accessible, let's give it a shot.

The issue is that the battery life while charging is beginning to act weird. What I mean is that when I charge and use my phone simultaneously, I notice that at some point it charges really fast to like, let's say 60% then gradually drops charges to like 55% and increases again.
Oooooo, now I understand you, that's weird but I suspect something, maybe there is loss of contact intermittently between usb and charger, check if you are charging over usb or Ac.

Guys!!! Please I need help oo! When my phone is charging it keeps dropping and increasing in sequences. Check out my battery graph below. Any solutionshuh cry
Its not a problem, the graph shows your charging and usage patterns. It can never be straight down unless you charge to 100% and not charge until you don't you want, the moment you start charging the graph goes up, discharging, the graph goes down, when you charge to 100%, I hope the graph restarts.
