busuyi44: how can I flash official global ROM? ? Can I use Ucbrowser installed in my Mi Max Prime to download the official ROM & then flash it to the phone without a need for a laptop Yes, just download an old version of stable rom and follow same procedure above, just saw a thread on miui of someone having similar issues as you, he finally downloaded an older version of miui, then he got an update of the latest rom through the updater app. http://en.miui.com/thread-595533-1-1.html, that's the thread, so just follow this guy and download version 8.1.9.0 and use updater app to flash. |

Na vendor rom o. But wetin make the seller nr fit flash the official global rom wen e clearly dey available? smh. |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Gptech(m): 1:27pm On May 19, 2017 |
Baadal: i appreciate your effort bro....its unlocked Just download the latest rom, copy it to the internal memory of your phone in a folder named 'downloaded_rom' (you can create the folder yourself), then open the updater app(normally located in tools), click the 3 dots on the top right of your screen, then choose updater package, scroll to the folder 'downloaded_rom' and select the file. Your phone will immediately flash the rom, takes about 15 mins or so. You can download the rom from here, download the global stable rom (1.5gig), http://en.miui.com/download-321.html |

princetom1: As for me, i care about the extra roar of a processor and camera too. The battery of mi max is already a beast, is more than fine for me and whichever processor they put, battery life is gonna be better. Be it the super battery friendly snapdragon 626 or the efficient, smooth and battery friendly 660 They better put the 626 oooo, me love battery now, imagine somebody dey see the Mi Max battery as weak now because note 4x don spoil am . |

Trippledots: Hello guys, im using an infinix note 2 bt feel like changing to xiaomi.
Which of the models is suggested?
What i'm looking for are: 1day plus battery life No heating Less than $100 price 5.5" and above HD screen Finger print scanner....Front preferably.
However if there are other phones that go SLIGHTLY beyond some listings up there but you think are worth sharing, please do. Also, pls, mention me when you do so the response isn't lost. Thanks guys. Redmi note 4x, and you can't get any Xiaomi with fingerprint and 5.5 inch for less than $140+ depending on colour. Also the cheapest with fingerprint on the front is the Redmi pro, won't advise you to go buy it because of lack of proper support ( no official global rom). Buy Redmi note 4x and relax, but you must up your budget. |

write2obi: Yea, Gptech. Your help is needed here SD 626 vs SD 660 compare and contrast Hehehehe, very unfair to even compare both, snapdragon 660 should be compared to the snapdragon 820, it will almost double the 626 in performance, meanwhile the 626 is not much different from the 625. |

princetom1: I got it initially, just that this is the best way to design back lit keys, i wouldn't wanna on my screen and still be using hands to find where my keys are. How is it distracting? If the back lit key is distracting at night, the screen too is distracting at night be that o. Check all the big brand and small brands phones, anyone using a back lit keys will be using same as this xiaomi, ur old phone might be a bug sef.
Gptech Exactly! But developers should make it possible to do this in order to meet every user's need if possible. |
