I find it amusing when wealthy people lament in the press about the hardship being faced by the poor when we know say e no dey touch them. As if poor people will view them as being empathic and ignore them in the event of an uprising like some sort of esprit de corps. |

In a normal country, this plan would fail because there would be a direct nexus between his public comments and any reprisals by the Senate leadership. They are trying to say that if you criticise the president's performance then you will be punished. In America, it would be a 1st Amendment issue. |

He is just talking his own. Local Governments used to be very independent and very influential at the grassroots level before the current republic and nobody died. Prince Demola Adeniji-Adele was a very powerful local government chairman of Lagos Island under the IBB and Abacha regimes. State governors just want to keep local governments under their control by keeping a grip on their financial purse strings. This is understandable because governors need grassroots support to win elections and don't want any unforeseen spoilers come election time. |

I didn't go for the GL450 anymore, I got the ML350. Less stress on fuel consumption and cost of replacing air suspensions. Benz V8s drink fuel like crazy, which is something to think about with the the current prices of fuel. I haven't had any major issues with the ML so far apart from the fact that the parts cost much more than Japanese cars. That's normal for Benzs and BMWs. Just to change the steering switch controls recently cost me about N35k for the part alone. Apart from that the ML is a strong car and I've enjoyed owning it. It goes without saying that you should always go with a competent mechanic who is experienced with handling Benz repairs when going to inspect the car before buying. Cheers. anyibig: |

*sigh* I travel all the time. I've tried to access WiFi and it never worked. There is some supposed free Glo wifi thing that hardly connects and when it does is so slow that it's not even worth it. Section 308 says you can't initiate court proceedings against a sitting governor. It doesn't say you cannot enter the governor's residence to arrest a fugitive. |

Atk1nson:Lol. That’s not the correct position at all. The deal was struck the moment that the seller agreed to start receiving payment in instalments from the buyer. If the buyer had stopped paying the seller would have been entitled to go to court and seek what is called an order of specific performance. Imagine if you paid for a house off plan and have been paying all your milestone instalments on time, then the developer comes and says he’s not selling to you again then returns your money and goes to sell the same house to someone who has offered him more money than you. You would be entitled to go to court and get an order to force the seller to stick to the terms of the deal that was struck. . 3 Likes |
