Well, we can all try to remember that there is no law against seeking bail or standing surety for an arrested person, and that any police officer who tries to arrest anyone who does that is, himself, committing an offence. Mr Minister of the FCT is not God, and cannot, with certainty, describe an arrested person as a criminal until he/she has gone through a judicial process which declares them guilty. One would expect a person of with his experience and exposure to know that. |

WHAT IS THRUSH? Thrush is a fungal (yeast) infection that can grow in your mouth, throat and other parts of your body. In your mouth thrush appears as a growth that can look like cottage cheese – white, raised lesions on your tongue and cheeks. The condition can quickly become irritated and cause mouth pain and redness. Thrush is caused by the overgrowth of a type of fungus called Candida. Mouth and throat thrush is called oropharyngeal candidiasis. A thrush infection is annoying but it’s generally a minor problem for healthy people and will clear up in a few weeks with antifungal treatment. Who can get thrush and is it contagious (pass from person to person)? While thrush can affect anyone, babies under 1 month old, toddlers, older adults and people with weakened immune systems (where symptoms can be harder to control) are at more risk. Thrush in the esophagus (swallowing tube) is one of the more common infections in people with HIV/AIDS. Thrush can be contagious to those at risk (like people with weakened immune systems or are taking certain medications). In healthy people, it’s unusual for it to be passed on through kissing or other close contacts. In most cases, thrush isn’t considered particularly contagious but it can be transmitted. If you’re worried about getting thrush from another person who has it, avoid coming into contact with their saliva (spit). It’s smart to wash your hands as often as possible if you’re near someone who has thrush. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/10956-thrush

The documents speak for themselves as you have yourself observed. You are required to give at least 2 weeks notice if you are on probation according to your employment contract. Also if the company has spent more than N500k on training you so far, you will be required to repay it if you decide to leave before 2 years. |

I'd asked a question like this a while back and got very little feedback, so I'd like to help. The main reason why the GL Benz is unpopular is that the model has a low reliability rating, particularly in respect of its air suspension, which many reports say has a high propensity to fail. The ML Benz uses a spring suspension (shock absorber) while the GL Benz uses an air suspension (air bag). I hear that back in the day, replacing damaged air suspensions could cost about N500k each, which is probably what gave it a bad reputation in the first place. However, I hear that the price has come down considerably to about N100k for each suspension, which may still be considered high considering that the GL air suspension has a high propensity to fail, coupled with our bad roads in Nigeria. Imagine having to replace a air suspension every 4 or so months. Plus, if your air suspension gives way completely, you cannot continue to drive the car and will have to get it towed, unlike a spring suspension which you can "manage" and drive the car to the mechanic. The spring suspension for the ML is cheaper to replace, though I can't say exactly how much it is. If you speak to Benz mechanics, they'll tell you that an ML is cheaper to maintain than the GL. The GL has a larger fuel tank and if you buy the V8 model, that means you're spending more money on fuel all round. Also, some people view the design of the older GL benz as bogus and find the sportier design of the ML more appealing. The newer GL (called the GLS) has a more sporty design but costs much more than the older GL. |

When they tell people to go to school so that they can reason properly, they'll be shouting "school na scam" and be looking for how to do online fraud. See now, dem don gather surround the bird and are marvelling at a simple identification tag as if say na magic. What's now the difference between them and those hidden rainforest tribes that have never even seen civilisation? |

1. You've paid your rent and are entitled to quiet enjoyment. Allowing the landlord to show up whenever he likes to enter your apartment and stretch leg in your parlour while your tenancy is still running is not one of your obligations under a tenancy agreement. The landlord can only ask to come to the house to see if any repairs need to be done if he had given reasonable notice beforehand. 2. No landlord is entitled under law to kick you out of his property summarily, without giving you adequate notice. It is six months in the case of a yearly tenancy, and one month in the case of a monthly tenancy. Even then you are entitled to stay till the period of your rent expires. If he feels that you have breached the terms of your tenancy, then he should go to court. Someone cannot collect rent money from you and still be acting as if you are a guest in his house or that he is doing you a favour by letting you stay in his house. Their willingness to refund you is neither here nor there. The decision to ask a refund and leave the property is yours to make, nobody can force you to take it. 3. Ask an affordable lawyer to write a letter to the landlord formally so that he does not feel that you are a helpless person, or go to the Office of the Public Defender to help you. They can provide you with free legal services if you don't money. Go to the National Stadium Bus Stop in Surulere and ask anyone where it is. It is around there on a street called Iyun Road. 4. Start looking for another place to move to after your rent expires because the landlord is obviously sick in the head. Good luck. |
