As long as it’s a regular savings account it can take amount but if it’s a tier 1 acc i.e an account opened with incomplete documentation e.g corpers or students account they’ll be limits. |
LarrySun:You Larrysun, divepen, repogirl, tiffanyj, Roy we there was this other guy that writes fantasy/adventure I’ve forgotten his name but we got an acronym for his story then OMG his name is at the tip of my tongue anyways I was going to say literaturelanders especially the people I’ve just mentioned were my first inspiration to write. What drives me personally is the fact that books have done a whole lot to me. I’ve read books like Francine Rivers that made me cry like really reflect and cry. Books have brought me where I am today. Books are powerful and are capable of changing lives forever, a book like alchemist etc have made lifelong impacts in my life. That’s what I want, make someone better or be a part of someone’s joy or success story through my writing ![]() |
Especially videos Emails too, people are fond of leaving their emails to pile up. I always try to delete unnecessary emails, less emails equals less clutter, more space and less stress |
You’re not cursed. Get a church or a counselor or someone you can confide in to talk to and pray along side with. It’s important you change your mindset about the whole thing. You’re experiencing the trauma that comes with sexual abuse, so many have been there and are healed. You too can be healed. It’s well with you! |

Hey guys, it’s been a minute (okay a few weeks technically) and I have missed you. For the record, it wasn’t deliberate. It’s been one helluva ‘break’ so let’s just call them unforeseen circumstances. Losing my phone and the delayed arrival of my laptop were definitely not planned but then, shit happens right? So I’m back yeah, got my acts together. Like I’ve made a list of interesting headlines we’ll be talking about for the next couple of weeks so sit back and let’s get into today’s topic already. Growing up I had a lot of writers who I fancied. And when I read their books, I would subconsciously begin to talk, act and/or write like them. I remember that whenever I read James Hadley Chase I became uptight and a little too cautious. James Patterson on the other hand always influenced my sense of humor. I soon realized that just as no two persons are the same, no two writers write the same. And the most terrible if not the worst thing that could happen to a writer is to lose their uniqueness. Now everyone appreciates unique right. Maybe it’s because everyone is unique – from our anatomical differences to our innate abilities, we are all, well, unique. But in a world where the quality of writing is fast deteriorating, a lot of writers have lost their unique writing voice. It’s sad. When I pick a book or a write up, I want to be blown away. And I’m sure that’s the case for so many others. Especially with creative writing, the reader craves for original, natural, crazy, raw, humorous, fun etc. it’s why we (I) love Mark Manson and so many others. If it’s going to be worth our intention, then you better be interesting. And here are 7 ways I think any writer can incorporate in retracing or finding their unique writing voice Be yourself There is nothing more unique than the cliched ‘Be yourself’ mantra (ignore the irony). The next thing you want to do after knowing yourself is to become it, in its fullness. Technically, that’s the best you can be. It’s fun. People only struggle with personality and acceptance issues because they aren’t being or haven’t loved being themselves. Know your audience Bear your readers in mind when writing. This makes it easy as you’ll know what your readers expect. You want to put yourself in their shoes. So next time you choose a headline to write on, ask yourself, “if I wanted to read something on this, what do I expect?” Be Spontaneous Okay rules are cool, but they suck too. I also find them limiting, and since writing is not speaking, it makes even more annoying to follow up on rules. I want to be conversational, I want to sound like I’m talking life to my readers. No sugar coating, cancelling, and all that chaos in my head. Then I must deal with punctuations and figures of shit and all that crap. Yea I think I just broke some of them. Noticed the many jargons in this point? Just write. Let others read your work This is important. Getting someone on the outside to read your work, gives you an idea of what your readers see or think about your write up. There is a reason we all (most of us) wanted someone to read our amazing write up when we first started. Be your first fan Most definitely sis (man, bro etc),love your write up and what you’re all about then others will follow. I’m my number one fan whatever the case. You shouldn’t be complacent, but you should give yourself some credit too. Be versatile Be known for something but don’t be limited. You’ll eventually narrow down to your favorite niche but don’t let that limit you. Imagine you ate say, rice everyday from the beginning of the year, you’d get bored eventually that’s if you even made it past the first 3 days. Get crazy Don’t be afraid of being crazy sometimes it’s like in the real world, the more loosened up you are the more fun you’ll have and the authentic you are perceived to be. James Patterson, one of my favorites is a good example of crazy, it’s probably why I’m always on the lookout for his novels. I feel like most of the points highlighted are intertwined. But I know you got what I’m trying to say. The point is, uniqueness is in simply being authentic. Whether you’re the crazy, reserved, weird or natural, nerdy Just… be it Please subscribe to my blog for more juicy posts on book reviews, stories and all things literature. Royver:Oh Royver I've missed your stories! |
TiffanyJ:It's been ages I swear don't mind me been trying to be an adult lol I was so proud to see our series (TRB) on Okadabooks congratulations ![]() |
Hello y’all! It's been a minute and I've really missed you guys especially literaturelanders.I want to mention names like Oluwabuqqyolo, Rachael, Tiffanyj (my mama), Royver (my author crush) agapecharis, etc but I won't be surprised if they aren't active here anymore like myself and that's even if I got the monikers right (it's a miracle I still remember the codes for smileys). Alright so aside trying to catch up on old friends and hopefully making new ones, I'm here to advertise my blog. I know right, I finally got one lol. So enough already and let's get down to brass tacks. There are various ways we get our inspirations from. For some (and many) it’s music, books, movies to others, it might be real life experiences or purely imagination. And those are valid ways as I use them myself but then, I found that we still sometimes, run out of ideas or inspiration to write or do whatever art it is we do. We’ve all been there. So if you’re familiar with writers block, you’re at the right place. Because the truth is inspiration to write is everywhere around us and one only needs to be observant and curious enough to leave the comfort (regular) zones. Like trying something new maybe odd . There are so many odd places to get writing ideas from however, I’ve selected only five (5). Whether it’s content writing, creative writing and in fact, generally arts you do. I’m about to broaden your options on getting ideas. Eavesdropping Yo! Time to get your ears up fellas. People dispatch plenty of information when they talk and the good thing is, you don’t even need to creep on them or spy on their conversations. You just need to follow on an interesting chitchat from two ladies or guys, in a bus or on a random queue. Trust me, you could learn a story or two to write about. Animals Weird right? Of course, we’re talking odd. I know for a fact that animals are a very fascinating creature to observe and even learn a few things from. Countless times I have caught myself watching an animal do something even as mundane as regurgitating, and then my brain go spinning several scenarios and patterns associated with the act. I try to imagine what goes on in their head when I see them exhibiting a certain behavior. Take my cat for instance, Tabby perfectly knows how to carry herself and still cherish her comfort, so I learnt poise from her. She’s also charming, now ain’t I? *flutters lashes* lol. So when next you see an animal, be it your pet or kangaroo in the bush, stop and watch them with keen interest, you never know, that may be the answer to your next genius story! Market place I always say that the market is where you see all caliber of persons. From the mildly insane to the extremely insane to those that are just insane, by default! A few times, I’ll stand by and watch, intrigued by the movements, dress, body language of diverse people, brushing shoulders, breaking sweat, spewing curses hauling germs in a rush to buy and sell! There are so many amusing characters to talk about in the market; definitely not a bad idea for comic write ups. Gym You already know that people think clearer when they’re fit plus funny ‘stuffs’ do happen in the gym. I once heard a weightlifter died after a bench press fell on his neck (this is not funny though). Now, you may want to maximize your next work out session so, instead of ogling at that hot lady’s behind or that dudes abs when you’re on break, get yourself a story to write about. Ogling a lil bit don’t hurt too though. Taking walks Oldie but absolutely a goodie. Especially, in our contemporary world where walking is seen as a punishment reserved for the ‘broke’ or stingy folks. Now not only is this activity healthy but it also allows one ample amount of time to think, reflect and meditate. Instead of jumping into the next available motorcycle or cab, take a walk. You also get to burn some calories and save some change for ice cream later Now it’s your turn, what unconventional (odd or weird) ways or places do you get ideas from?
