CultureRe: My Yoruba Brothers Give your Reason why we don't get along with the Igbos by graciousolo(m): 2:16am On Jan 15, 2016
Dumb thing... I actually my first thought was... there they go again and, then I thought you were actually making sense, until you proved me right.

How in your mind will this kind of thread bring about amends between both tribes?

I am Igbo my roommate is Yoruba, I am currently in school(Night class) with two Yoruba friends.

I am not saying these problems don't exist but, the irony and disguise of this hokum of a thread is what upsets me.

#PresidentialMediaChat I like the president, but I just have a problem with having a problem understanding what he's saying. U get?

I just couldn't continue listening... He sincerely needs to be subtitled when he speaks.

Always learn to play within the confines of the rule.

Better luck next time Uniuyo and UI.

Tourshaw and Neyoor I appreciate your doggedness and pragmaticalness. Unilorites unto the next.

Thanks to the amiable Judges for heeding our plea. Nice on Fynestboi.

Geestarry:
Normally, I would have reserved my comments but I wish to express myself on this platform. No participant/contestant is permitted to play judge/moderator. Participants are first expected to respect the authority of the day, and as such, any reservations should be presented orderly and not coaxed into being effected.
The art of threatening too pull out from the debate is already grounds for disqualification. Participants are expected to be able to respect and comport themselves if their concerns would be considered. No matter how right a claim is, if it is not duly represented, it could be disregarded on grounds of contempt. And if the moderator and judges review the scores without reprimanding the plaintiffs for their manner [in public especially], then participants for subsequent editions could/would be expected to throw stones at each other or even fight like the members of the Nigerian House of Representatives.
Besides, someone said "UniUyo" played on the judges intelligence, that's an undue accusation/summation. One person did, not every member of the Uniuyo team, and if anyone has to lay complaints, he/she should do so in a very polite manner.

There is life beyond this competition. In as much as we are here to build our intellectual prowess, we also have to build character. The real aim of this competition will be defeated if we remain at loggerheads. Thank you very much. Shalom

By the way, The judge's decision is final.
The judge's decision can be appealed too.

Apart from from the plagiarism, He wrote over 2000 words when the maximum is 1200.

Judge's please see to this. Thanks.

I admit I made a mistake as far the word count is concerned but believe me. I gave him that score not based on the headlines he posted but on the overall essay. In fact if you take out the alledged copy and paste headlines you would still get a very respectable essay. Looking at the way I scored them you could see that almost everyone got "unbelievably high scores" with the exception of a particular candidate whose scored a low grade because I didn't particularly enjoy his essay, it was lumped together and looked like something hurriedly constructed. Once again I sympathize with the aggrieved but as it stands, what I have written I have written, that can only be changed by disqualification which isn't exactly an option since he cited the source.
Let's agree with the cited part.

But, Sir what of the fact that his essay beat the maximum word count? Isn't that against a rule?

What will be the punishment for that?

ANd the story that a man that died for claiming nonsense 2000 years ago in some village in the Middle east is your saviour is not enslavement?

What if Jesus died in Africa
Born of a carpenter
Welcomed by three dibias
With cowries, yams and talismans

What if Jesus died in Africa
Faraway from Mecca
And closer to Abuja,
Aso Rock, his path on Passover

What if Jesus died in Africa
His cross made of rafia
Stoned with mounds of eba
Alomo passed to him as his soul crossed over

But Jesus didnt die in Africa
No eba was stoned at Golgotha
The son of David had no idea whatsoever
That there was a land called Africa.

God that didn't save himself from three nails 2000 years ago and hasn't come back since will save me from what?

HE didn't save all the Christians and Muslims Boko Haram killed in the North. HE didn't destroy the Boko Haram that was supposedly 'spoiling' His Name. Can you see how stupid your God is. Look at all the prayers and tithes and pilgrimage and time Nigerians spend on 'God' business every year and see where we are... Nansenz.. grin grin

Your cars, your phones, your language, your books do not reflect you. You fight for the Gods of the Jews and Arabs. You kill yourself in the name of Allah and Yahweh. And destroy the temples of Chukwu, Olodumare. You insult Esu by calling Him Lucifer. You insult Ekwensu, the great god of war and craftiness, by equating him with Yahweh's archenemy Lucifer. You are deranged, your history is broken, that is why your present is a miserable existence.
I usually don't comment on religious topics anymore as I'm beginning to feel irreligious but, people like you just makes it certain and unambiguous that there is truly a God and His enemy is satan. Thanks for drawing me back to God. Bless you.
