The Senator Representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, on Friday,24th,March 2023 commiserated with the entire Ikpeazu family over the death of their daughter, Miss Cheryl Nwankie Ikpeazu daughter of Dr Onyechi Ikpeazu(SAN)

While extending his heartfelt condolences during the burial event at the residence of the Ikpeazus in Onitsha, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah stressed that the demise of Miss Cheryl Nwankie Ikpeazu aged 31, is a painful one considering the fact that she's a vibrant youth with potentials that would have been resourceful to the society.Senator Ubah however reinterated that as mere mortals, we will remain grateful to God in all circumstances and prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul.

Sen Ifeanyi Ubah, on behalf of his family, campaign organisation, and ndi Anambra South, prayed that the Almighty God grants the Ikpeazus fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Late Miss Nwankie, who passed on at the age of 31, is survived by her parents, siblings, and relatives

Anambra South Senator and winner of the 2023 Senatorial Election in the District Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on Thursday, hosted the leaders of his party, the Young Progressives Party6 (YPP) at his Umuanuka Otolo Nnewi residence to appreciate them for their supports. During the event, the Senator commended them for putting in their best in the just concluded National Assembly Election and reassured them that he will always encourage diligent members.

Senator Ubah who was flanked by the Director-General of Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation Chief Vin Onyeka also reassured his constituents and his party that he will not relent in partnering with relevant authorities to promote the wellbeing of the people of the Senatorial District. He also maintained that his legislative activities in the 10th Assembly shall focus on engaging in legitimate partnerships to ensure that all the Bills sponsored by him in the outgoing 9th Assembly are passed by the 10th Assembly and signed into law by the incoming President.

The Anambra South Senator also reassured ndị Anambra South that efforts are in top gear to ensure that more developmental projects and programmes are executed in various local government areas of the Senatorial District. He further6 disclosed that implementation of more of his empowerment programmes that are captured in the 2023 Appropriation Act of the6 Federal Republic of Nigeria will hopefully commence soon and urged the people especially the youths to remain focused and law abiding. The Senator also reassured his constituents and his party that he will always do them proud in the Red Chamber and reaffirmed that promotion of the wellbeing of the people will always be his priority.

Other highlights of the event which was preceded by a visit to Orumba North Local Government Area Headquarters Ajali by Senator Ubah were presentations of gift items like Motorcycles, Electric Grinding Machines, Sewing Machines, Standing Fans, Gas Stoves and units of Solar Energy Facility equipped with POS Machines, mobile phone charging ports and a backup power supply to diligent members of the party. INEC DECLARES AUGUSTINE ONYEKACHUKWU IKEDOJI OF THE YPP WINNER OF 2023 NNEWI NORTH STATE CONSTITUENCY ELECTION

AUGUSTINE IKEDOJI OF YPP WINS 2023 NNEWI NORTH STATE CONSTITUENCY ELECTION WITH 20,214 VOTES AS APGA GATHERS ONLY 6092 VOTES.

INEC DECLARES AUGUSTINE ONYEKACHUKWU IKEDOJI OF THE YPP WINNER OF 2023 NNEWI NORTH STATE CONSTITUENCY ELECTION


_With the declaration, Sir Augustine Ikedoji who defeated the APGA Candidate with fourteen thousand votes margin will be the first YPP Honourable Member in the Anambra State House of Assembly. His victory and that of Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah also confirmed YPP as the number one political party in Nnewi_

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday, declared the Young Progressives Party (YPP) Candidate Sir Augustine Onyekachukwu Ikedoji winner of the 2023 Nnewi North State Constituency Election. Announcing the result, the Returning Officer Charles Nweke declared that the YPP Candidate polled a total of *twenty thousand two hundred and fourteen votes* to beat his closest rival Nwosu Peter Okwudili of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) who polled a total of *six thousand and ninety-two votes* .

Further breakdown of the result as announced by INEC showed that Barrister Izuchukwu Unegbu of the Labour Party (LP) polled a total of four thousand nine hundred and twenty-one votes to come distant third while Ike Eloka Clement of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled a total of one thousand three hundred and forty-one votes.

With the declaration, Sir Augustine Ikedoji who defeated the APGA Candidate with fourteen thousand votes margin will be the first YPP Honourable Member in the Anambra State House of Assembly. It should also be recalled that Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah who contested the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial Election on the platform of YPP was also declared winner of the Senatorial Election by INEC thereby retaining YPP as the ruling party in Nnewi and Anambra South.

SENATOR IFEANYI UBAH MOURNS THE FORMER DEAN OF THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA, LATE ARCHBISHOP MAXWELL ANIKWENWA; A REVERED CLERIC OF THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA (ANGLICAN COMMUNION)

It is with a heavy heart that I received the sad news of the passing of the former Dean of the Church of Nigeria, the Most Reverend Maxwell Anikwenwa, who slept in the Lord in the early hours of Monday, March 13, 2023, at the age of 83 years.

The Anglican prelate, who was born in Anambra State in 1940, got ordained a priest in December 1966 from where he rose to become the former Archbishop of province 11 and later Bishop of Awka Diocese, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion).

Archbishop Maxwell Chukwunweike Samuel Anikwenwa was appointed the first Bishop of Awka in 1987, became the Archbishop on the Niger in the year 2000 and later Dean of the Church of Nigeria, a position he retired from on the 22nd of November 2010.

Archbishop Maxwell Anikwenwa had a meritorious sojourn while on earth and was a mentor, source of inspiration to many and moral compass of the society.

He was until he passed a stoical cleric devoted to the service and redemption of Christianity.

Throughout the entirety of his sojourn here on earth, Archbishop Anikwenwa led a life worthy of emulation, and the Church of Nigeria has indeed lost a pious clergyman.

I wish to express my deepest condolences to his grieving family, friends, the Church of Nigeria, and the entire Christendom who have over the years benefited from his teachings and exemplary lifestyle.

May God grant us all the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
