Anambra South Senator and Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial Election Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on Monday, reassured ndị Nnewichi and the People of Anambra South Senatorial District that he will not relent in putting in measures that will protect their interests. The Senator made the remarks at Nnewichi Ward 1 in Umuogbo Obiofia Nnewichi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State when he was hosted by the community members and stakeholders. Speaking at the event, Senator Ubah who was accompanied by his wife Mrs Uche Ubah, the Director-General of Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation Chief Vin Onyeka and some stakeholders appreciated ndị Nnewichi for defying all odds to maintain their supports for him.

Senator Ubah further disclosed that his Senatorial Outing in the past four years has laid a solid foundation for quality representation for ndị Anambra South at the Red Chamber, and reassured the people that he will leave no stone unturned in partnering with relevant authorities to promote their wellbeing. He also informed them that the execution of the “Operation Light-Up and Secure Anambra South Project” which he recently flagged off in Nnewi North Local Government will support security agencies in surveillance and security analysis in parts of the community.

Commenting on the forthcoming National Assembly and State Assembly elections, Senator Ubah urged ndị Nnewichi to consolidate their supports for him by voting massively for YPP in 2023 National Assembly and State Assembly elections as that will guarantee sustenance of quality programmes within the community and the Senatorial District.

In his remarks, Chief Emeka Martins Chikezie (C-MARTINS) appreciated Senator Ubah for his relentless and selfless efforts to promote the wellbeing of the people. The Senator representing Anambra South and Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial Election Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on Monday, reassured the people of Anambra South that their continuous support will cement his zeal to efficiently represent them at the Red Chamber. Senator Ubah made the remarks while addressing ndị Uruagu at Obi Umumejiaku Uruagu Nnewi of Uruagu Ward 3 in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State. Speaking at the event, the Senator who was warmly received by Uruagu community members appreciated the community for always defying all odds to maintain their massive supports for him. The Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District and Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), for the forthcoming Senatorial Elections in February, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah on Saturday, 11/02/2023, reinterated his resolve to end the insecurity and capital flight that have ravaged the Senatorial District in recent times .

The Senator made the declaration during the kick-off of the ifeanyi Ubah quiz competition that he organised for the entire secondary schools in Anambra South Senatorial District.

Speaking through his representative and chief of staff, Mr Gerald Udogu, at Maria Regina College , one of the venues for the quiz competition. Senator Ubah insisted that it is the responsibility of elected public officials to stand in the gap for the people and implement action programmes and projects that help free movement ,safe environment as well as human capital development of the masses .

The highly attended quiz competition took place simultaneously in the seven(7) local government areas that make up the Senatorial District.

Speaking before the examination commenced at Mosignor Maduka Memorial Secondary school, Ekwulobia. Hon Emma Ezeokafor applauded the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah, for what he termed his outside the box capacity for formulating great ideas that has greatly helped in restoring peace to the hitherto restive zone . Speaking further , Hon Ezeokafor, who is the Young Progressives Party (YPP) candidate for Aguata Federal Constituency in the forthcoming House of Representatives election slated for February 25th, stated that it indeed takes being a special breed for a first-timer like Senator Ubah to deliver such quantity of projects to the zone, boasts of a bill already signed into law and yet (still not resting on his oars), has gone ahead to assist the state government in curbing the insecurity in the Senatorial District. This he did through various action programmes like operation light Up and Secure Anambra South through which he is dropping a minimum of 50 solar powered streetlights in every ward, the donation of security Equipments, the football tournament for the Youths, and the quiz competition for students held yesterday.

You may recall that the Anambra state governor,,Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo a few days ago, minced no words while heaping praises on the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah for harkening to his call for partnership from ndi Anambra in curbing the insecurity and infrastructural decadence in the State. The governor described the senator as the true son of Anambra. Senator Ubah has since gone ahead to donate 500 million Naira worth of security equipment ,walkie-talkies, and solar powered streetlights with CCTV cameras. Senator Ubah has also initiated a collaborative venture with the state government that is aimed at training one thousand (1000)youths on security networking and information gathering.

The students that took part in the quiz competition competed for various prizes ranging from payment of senior WAEC fees for 140 of them while 35 best performing schools will be handed 2 desktop computers and full science kits each amongst several other consolation prizes.

Anambra State Governor Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo on Tuesday, commended the Senator representing Anambra South and Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial Election Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah for taking actions to support relevant authorities in protecting the lives and properties of the people of Anambra South regardless of their political affiliations. The governor made the remarks during the Anambra South Security Surveillance and Information Technology Summit. Speaking at the event which took place at Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium, Nnewi-Ozubulu, Governor Soludo said that he was there to thank and congratulate Senator Ubah for making security of lives and properties of ndị Anambra South his priority irrespective of their political affiliations. The Anambra State Governor who was accompanied by his Chief of Staff Ernest Ezeajughi and Special Assistant on Security Air Vice Marchal Ben Chiobi also described Senator Ubah as a true son of the soil and reassured him that his office will continually partner with him for the benefits of residents of Anambra South and Anambrarians in general.

Governor Soludo further maintained that with the Secure South Project (SSP) which was initiated by Senator Ubah, security agencies will be more equipped to carry out surveillance and security analysis in all the one hundred and nineteen wards of Anambra South Senatorial District. Mr. Governor, who was overwhelmed with joy, further informed Senator Ubah that he is always ready to attend any programme facilitated by him that is meant to boost security in Anambra South and Anambra State in general. He also reassured ndị Anambra South that his office will continue to partner with Senator Ubah to ensure that the aims of the Secure South Project are achieved.

The Anambra State Governor also commended Senator Ubah for his patriotism, which made him place people’s interests above his own, and maintained that he is very proud to have him as his Senator. He also appreciated him for always making personal efforts to promote the wellbeing of his people and described the Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium as a massive project that will be supported by the state government. The governor further assured Senator Ubah that his administration will partner with him to develop the stadium in a way that it will continually benefit ndị Anambra South and Anambrarians in general. Prof Soludo also promised to rehabilitate Nkwọ Nnewi Triangle and other Nnewi roads for the benefit of all and described Secure South Project as one of the fruits of the State’s Security Trust Fund.

Mr Governor further thanked Senator Ubah on behalf of ndị Anambra for his great gifts to the people of the state and reassured citizens that security of lives and properties which has improved since his assumption of office will continually improve.

Also speaking, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, Retired Air Vice Marchal Ben Chiobi informed the governor that in line with his directive, he has confirmed that the Secure South Project which the summit was part of is in tune with his promise to ndị Anambra on security. He also disclosed that about one thousand walkie-talkies with other powerful gadgets, including Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), have been procured by Senator Ubah. He also advised the governor to go ahead in his security partnership with the Senator.

In his remarks, the Director-General of Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation Chief Vin Onyeka appreciated the governor for believing in the Anambra South Senator. Chief Onyeka further appreciated ndị Anambra South for their continuous support for the Senator and reassured them that he will not relent in partnering with relevant authorities to attract quality projects to the Senatorial District and promote their wellbeing.

Following his immense contributions towards promoting services in the Lord’s Vineyard and for showing huge support to people living with various forms of disability, the Council of Laity, Nnewi Diocese (Anglican Communion) and students of the Diocesan Special Education Center which was established to rehabilitate, educate and care for people living with various forms of disability on Saturday, made special prayers to God on the political ambition of the Senator representing Anambra South and Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial Election Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah. The Council and students of the disability center who were overwhelmed by the Senator’s sacrifices to the church and his kindness to the needy prayed God to bless his coming in and going out, and bless his ambition with victory.

Senator Ubah made the remarks during a meeting with the Association of Nnewi Former Political Appointees and Stakeholders at Hotel De Universe Nnewichi Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State. Speaking at the event, the Senator said that his major functions as a legislator are to make laws and attract projects that will promote the wellbeing of ndị Anambra South.

Senator Ubah who was accompanied by his wife Mrs Uche Ubah, Chief Dan Edokwe, Director-General of Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation Chief Vin Onyeka, members of Afaigboefuna Solidarity led by their president Chief Ernest Otugo, YPP Candidate for 2023 Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency Election Hon Peter Uzokwe, YPP Candidate for 2023 Nnewi North State Constituency Election Sir Augustine Ikedoji and some stakeholders further used the opportunity to inform the gathering about his latest activities at the Red Chamber. He disclosed that two of his Bills for the Establishment of Federal Orthopaedic Hospital Ukpor and Federal Medical Center Uli recently passed Public Hearing and if signed into law by the president as expected, the establishment of the medical facilities will contribute immensely to the development of the Health Sector in the Senatorial District.

Speaking on his recent activities in the Red Chamber, Senator Ubah informed the gathering that recently, he flagged off the execution of “Operation Light-Up and Secure Anambra South Project” which features installation of solar powered facilities that are equipped with a Light-Emitting Diode (LED) Light System and other powerful electronic gadgets that will help security agencies in surveillance and security analysis in all Wards of Nnewi North Local Government Area. The Senator further revealed that each ward in Anambra South Senatorial District received fifty units of the solar powered facilities and that he is hopeful that with the project execution, grassroots businesses will boost thereby promoting people’s wellbeing.

Commenting on his Corporate Social Responsibility as a private citizen, the Anambra South Senator disclosed that he built facilities that are aimed at creating employment opportunities. He further maintained that Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium, Nnewi-Ozubulu and Authority 91.9FM, Nnewi have generated employment opportunities that are assisting many families in carrying out their various responsibilities. The Senator also reassured the Council that he will leave no stone unturned in partnering with relevant authorities in the development of various communities and urged them to maintain their continuous support for him in order to sustain facilitation of quality programmes and projects in the Senatorial District.

Also speaking, YPP Candidate for 2023 Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency Election Hon Peter Uzokwe urged the Laity Council to consolidate their love for YPP by voting massively for the party in the 2023 National Assembly and State Assembly elections as that will bring in more developmental opportunities to Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Ekwusigo and entire Anambra South. Hon Uzokwe also urged the church to always pray for constituted authorities and assured them that their sacrifices shall never be in vain.

Responding, the Diocesan Bishop Rt Rev Ndubuisi Chukwuka Obi appreciated Senator Ubah for his numerous legislative and personal actions which are aimed at supporting various groups and organizations to promote the wellbeing of the people. The Bishop who was represented by the Chaplain of the Diocesan Council of Laity Rev Canon Godwin Onuchukwu specifically appreciated the Senator for his intervention project at St Christopher’s Anglican Church Umuezena and prayed God to bless his ambition, and grant more grace and protection upon him and his entourage.

After the meeting with the Laity Council, Senator Ubah and his wife led their entourage to the Diocesan Special Education Center which was established to rehabilitate, educate and care for people living with various forms of disability. During their brief visit to the facility, they had one on one interaction with the occupants and presented various gift items to them. The occupants in return, made special prayers for the Senator.

Umuanuka community of Otolo Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State was agog on Friday following the burial of Comr Peter Nwachukwu Ubah (Eziafakaego) who until his death, was the uncle of the Senator representing Anambra South and Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial Election Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.

In his tribute during the Funeral Mass which took place at St Peter Clavers Catholic Church Otolo Nnewi, Anambra State Governor Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo described the deceased as a man who devoted his lifetime to humanity services. Prof Soludo also appreciated God for granting him a fulfilled life and maintained that with seven children, twenty-eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, the deceased lives on and his family have more than enough reason to glorify God. The governor further urged Senator Ubah and the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area Hon Mrs Amaka Obi (Nee Ubah) to take heart, and prayed for more divine grace upon the entire Ubah family as they bid their husband, father, brother and uncle farewell.

In his speech, Senator Ubah described the deceased as a humble, caring and disciplined gentleman whom he will always be proud of. The Anambra South Senator who was in the company of his wife Mrs Uche Ubah, and his sisters Mrs Ogechukwu Udogu and Mrs Fidelia Chigbo also appreciated Anambra State Governor Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo for gracing the occasion despite his tight schedules. Senator Ubah further thanked God for granting the deceased a fulfilled life and prayed for more divine grace and protection upon the Ubah family.

In his vote of thanks which he delivered on behalf of the deceased family, Engr Dr Ikenna Ubah appreciated God for his grace and mercies upon the Ubah family. Engr Ubah who is also a lecturer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka further appreciated Anambra State Governor Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo and all dignitaries for honouring their late father and prayed God to always guide and protect them.

The deceased who transited to glory on Sunday December 4, 2022 was a teacher at St Mary’s Primary School, Afikpo, St Theresa’s Primary School, Abakaliki and St Thomas Teachers’ Training College, Ogoja. After his teaching services in Ebonyi State, he returned and served as a Headmaster at St Joseph’s Primary School Okofia Otolo Nnewi, Akwunweke Digbo Community School Otolo Nnewi, Akwudo Central School Otolo Nnewi and Oduda Central School Nnewichi Nnewi.

Upon his retirement, Eziafakaego assumed the post of a Company Secretary at St Mary’s Industrial Complex Nnewi, where he worked closely with the Company’s Chief Executive Officer, Sir Christopher Nwafor (Afomachukwuebuka) and retired successfully in 2002. He was also an executive member of Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) in Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi States where he served as State Assistant Secretary, State Secretary, State Deputy Chairman and later State Chairman respectively.

The deceased who passed on at the age of eighty-two is also survived by his wife Mrs Nneka Regina Ubah, brother Mr Anselem Ubah and other relatives, and his funeral ceremony which continued after his interment at his compound will be concluded on Sunday with a Thanksgiving Mass at St Peter Clavers Catholic Church Otolo Nnewi. May God grant his soul repose.
