The Senator representing Anambra South and Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial Election Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on Tuesday,31/01/2023, reassured his constituents that he will always use the instrumentality of his office to provide adequate healthcare for them. Senator Ubah made the remarks during a public hearing organized by the Senate Committee on Health for his two bills: Federal Orthopaedic Hospital Ukpor, Anambra State (Establishment) Bill 2022 (SB. 598) and Federal Medical Centre Uli, Anambra State (Establishment) Bill 2023 (SB. 487).

Speaking at the event that took place at the Senate Conference Hall 231 New Building, Senator Ubah maintained that health is wealth and no nation can develop if its citizens lack adequate healthcare. The Anambra South Senator also said that the Bill for the establishment of Federal Orthopaedic Hospital, Ukpor was birthed by appeals from his constituents for the provision of a Federal Orthopaedic Healthcare Unit to address the rising Orthopaedic healthcare challenges that are catalysed by the increased population of people in the Senatorial District. He also disclosed that the entire South-East geopolitical zone presently has only one federal orthopaedic hospital situated in Enugu, and that has caused many avoidable deaths in his Senatorial District. The Senator also lamented that due to lack of adequate Orthopaedic Healthcare, some people who battled fracture due to bullet wounds after his convoy was attacked at Nkwọ Enugwu-Ukwu on September 11, 2022 couldn’t survive

Commenting on the Bill for the establishment of Federal Medical Centre Uli Anambra State, Senator Ubah said that it is well deserved because some states in the country including the Federal Capital Territory have both Teaching Hospital and Federal Medical Centre. The Anambra South Senator also disclosed that the Bill was birthed by appeals from his constituents and expressed hope that when established, the centre will play vital roles in addressing various health challenges of his people. He also informed the gathering that as part of his intervention in the health sector and in continuation of his efforts at providing adequate healthcare for his constituents and ndị Anambra, he convened a group of high profile citizens under the umbrella of Anambra Progressives and Development Union (APDU) and built ultramodern medical and isolation centres at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (Permanent Site), Nnewi and Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka within a period of one year during the Convid-19 Pandemic.

Senator Ubah further appreciated his fellow members of the Senate Committee on Health led by Senator Ibrahim Oloriegbe, tradional rulers and stakeholders of the host communities of the proposed medical facilities and various medical unions for their supports and cooperation, and reassured ndị Anambra South that his office will leave no stone unturned in partnering with relevant authorities to promote their wellbeing and boost community development.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Senate Committee on Health Senator Ibrahim Oloriegbe disclosed that the Public Hearing was meant to assess the views of stakeholders and general public in order to obtain balanced inputs that will be acceptable to all. Senator Oloriegbe also appreciated the Senate President Ahmed Lawan, Senator Ubah, and other members of the committee for their support and expressed hope that the Bills, when passed, will address the concerns of constituents

The re-election project of the Senator representatimg Anambra South, who is also the Young Progressives Party (YPP) Candidate for Anambra South Senatorial District in the Feb. 25th National Assembly Election, got a major boost Monday, 30/01/2023 as a group known as the Door-2-Door 4 Sen Ifeanyi Ubah, after it's enlarged executive meeting, resolved to commence a rigorous grassroot campaign tagged " OPERATION ONE MEMBER, TEN VOTERS" in support of the Senatorial ambition of Sen. Dr. Patrick ifeanyi Ubah.

In his opening speech, the leader/convener of the group, Hon Bona Ogbonna, reminded the members of how important it is that Sen Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah (Ebubechukwu Uzo) is returned as the Senator representatimg Anambra South Senatorial District for the second term.

According to Hon Bona, the decision was precipitated by the leadership and representative antecedents of Sen. Ubah; ranging from Economics, Commerce, Education, Healthcare, Environment, Sports, Human Capital Development and Infrastructures.
Continuing, Hon Bona reminded the members of the group, that the Senator has been a forerunner of quality and vibrant representation as evident from the motley of bills and motions he has sponsored and moved at Senate within the last three years.

Speaking further, Hon Bona, enumarated some of these bills which includes; Petroleum Tankers Safety Bill, Bill for National Institute for Business Studies Nnewi, Power and Petroleum Safety Bill Oraifite Erosion Control and Prevention Commission Bill, Bill for Institute of Rice Research and Development Amichi, Matallurgy Training Institute Bill Orumba, Bill for Establishment of Center for Sickle Cell Anaemia Research and Treatment in Aguata, Bill for the establishment of Federal Orthopedic hospital in Ukpor, Nnewi South just to mention but a few. He equally reminded them of the already existing robust synergy between the Senator and the Governor of Anambra State through the Senator's Operation Light up and Secure Anambra South Senatorial District, which have become a laudable and a pace setting feet for other Legislators both at the State and the Nation at Large.

He made it clear that the only way to Consolidate on these unprecedented achievement of Sen Ubah, is to make sure that he is re-elected, so that the good work will continue. He, therefore urged members of the group to go from Door to Door, House to House, Store to Store, Office to Office and galvanize, canvass and mobilize the much needed support for the return of Sen. Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) to the Senate come February, 25th 2023.

The group's woman leader, Lady Amaka Okonkwo, in her speech, appreciated the members for turning out in large number, more especially those that came with various gift items which according to her, is a very good sign that members of the group truly, we love Sen Ubah.
Continuing, Lady Amaka reminded the women about the 21 houses the Senator built and furnished for randomly selected widows across the Seven Local Govt Areas in Anambra South, she urged the women to go all out and prove to the Senator that they are the real owners of the Grassroot. She prayed that God will continue to guide and protect Sen Ifeanyi Ubah as he journeys round the Senatorial District.

Speaker after speaker, eulogized Sen Ubah for changing the narrative of Senatorial representation in Anambra South, and the country in general with his superlative performances within the last three years, and despite his being a first time Senator which led to his being decorated with the title of "The Prince of the Senate" by the Senate President and other 108 Senators of the 9th Senate.

The highlights of the meeting which was a huge success, was the presentation and distribution of various gift items which includes, tubers of yam, biscuits, assorted drinks and kola donated by the group members as a show of their true love for the Senator.

How else does one qualify his three years plus of rising above storms, trials, and trepidations to deliver technical knockouts to existing records in Senate representation by his predecessors.

Year 2020, a year into his representation while still battling court cases , the Convid-19 Pandemic took the nation by storm ,he rose to the occasion , organised his friends and delivered two state of the art,fully euipped, isolation centers and hospitals in Awka and Nnewi with a third one coming up in Onitsha.

The Courts cases and attempts to steal his mandate from the back door , after his landslide victory in 2019 could not stop him from immediately delivering a law that gives the nation billions in revenue accruals every year through the petroleum sector .

The attack by enemies of progress on his convoy did not stop him from breaking records in quality representation by dropping atleast one project in every ward ....119 in total.....in Anambra South Senatorial District.

In the Senate Order Paper, he stood out in the top 5 as one of the new Senators with the highest bills and motions

To cap it all , the 9th Senate broke protocol and for the time in the history of the elite chamber , carved out a new title and bestowed on Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah .

The Ifeanyi Ubah Football Academy soccer competition which is under the sponsorship of the Senator representing Anambra South and Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial Election Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah came to a conclusion in Nnewi North Local Government Area on Sunday after Nnewichi Ward 2 players defeated their Otolo Ward 1 counterparts by 3-2 on penalties to emerge champion in the local government. The final match which was formally kicked off by Senator Ubah at Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium Nnewi was preceded by a third place match between Otolo Ward 2 and Umudim Ward 2 which ended 1-0 in favour of the Otolo Ward 2 team.

Commenting on both matches, Senator Ubah congratulated all Nnewi teams for participating in the tournament. Senator Ubah who arrived the venue of the final match in company of the Director-General of Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation Chief Vin Onyeka and some stakeholders also disclosed that the tournament is aimed at discovering, empowering and developing young talents in all Wards of Anambra South Senatorial District. He further congratulated the winning team who will represent Nnewi at the local government level of the tournament and urged them to keep their eyes on the ball in order to win the trophy.

...as Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah's ward Otolo 1 beats Uruagu Ward 1 to qualify for the next round.

As the Ifeanyi Ubah Football Academy (IUFA) soccer competition under the sponsorship of the Senator representing Anambra South and Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial Election Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah continues in all the seven local government areas of the Senatorial District, Otolo Ward 1 team on Wednesday at Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium Nnewi, moved to the next round of the tournament after defeating Uruagu Ward 1. The only goal of the interesting match, which ended 1-0 in favour of Otolo Ward 1, was scored by Osueke Michael.

Commenting on the match, Senator Ubah congratulated the winning team, who are also members of his Ward, and urged them to keep all eyes on the ball in order to win the trophy. The Anambra South Senator also commended the players who made the Match Golden list and urged them to remain disciplined and focused in order to make the final list of champions.

Anambra South Senator and candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial Election, Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on Saturday, reassured the good people of Anambra South Senatorial District, that he will always represent them diligently without any form of discrimination at the upper chamber of the National Assembly.

Senator Ubah made the remarks when he hosted the Yoruba Community in Nnewi at his Umuanuka Palatial abode in Otolo Nnewi.

According to him, promoting action policies and programs that trigger the economic well-being of every Anambra South resident regardless of the person’s ethnicity or religious affiliation remains his priority.

Senator Ubah also used the opportunity to appreciate the Yoruba Community for their continuous support and also briefed them on his legislative activities so far at the Red Chambers.

He further disclosed that his office is partnering with relevant authorities to boost security and promote businesses within the Senatorial District.

Speaking further on his efforts in boosting security, Senator Ubah informed the gathering that his office recently launched the Operation Light-Up and Secure Anambra South Project which will feature the installation of solar-powered facilities that are equipped with a Light-Emitting Diode (LED) light system, surveillance cameras and other powerful security gadgets which includes walkie-talkies that will assist security agencies in surveillance, intelligence gathering and security analysis in all wards of the Senatorial District.

On his relationship with the Yoruba Community, Senator Ubah informed the gathering that over the years, he has successfully worked with several Yoruba indigenes and that presently, some of their brothers including Bashiru Olabiran Ariwo, Babatunde Ajala, Engr Tunde Adebiyi and Engr Samson Julius are working with him.
He also appreciated their diligence and patriotism and reassured them that they would always be carried along in his legislative activities.

Senator Ubah further thanked them for their unalloyed support and urged them to consolidate their love for him by voting massively for the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in the 2023 National Assembly and State Assembly elections.

Responding on behalf of the visitors, the President-General of the Yoruba Community in Nnewi, Gabriel Adejumi Abiodun appreciated Senator Ubah for his giant efforts towards promoting the well-being of all Anambra South residents regardless of their ethnicity or religious affiliation.
He also disclosed that they visited to condole with the Senator over the killing of two of his Aides and some security personnel attached to him by gunmen at Nkwọ Enugwu-Ukwu on September 11, 2022, and to also seek his continuous collaboration.

The visitors who eulogised the giant strides by the Senator despite his being a first termer appealed to him to remain steadfast and sustain his selfless services to his constituents.
They reassured him of their unalloyed support and readiness to partner with him in deepening the conversation towards the economic development of the zone.

Dignitaries from the Yoruba community that were present at the meeting include the group’s secretary, Jimoh Adeshina, Chief Imam Rashid Sanusi, Treasurer Adekunle Idowu, and the Public Relations Officer Moses Olanrewaju, amongst others.

LUCK SMILES ON MISS JOY AMARA AMAOBI AS SENATOR UBAH GIFTS HER HALF A MILLION NAIRA TO RESTART HER BUSINESS AFTER HER SHOP GOT BURNT.

... expresses joy at what God is doing to our people through the Senator.

Miss Amara Amaobi, a physically challenged young lady who didn't allow her disability to serve as an impediment to her as she engaged in subsistent trading, got terrible news on the morning of October 2022; Her small shop, where she fends for a living, just got gutted by fire.

Overwhelmed with anguish, Amara had to resort to friends for help, who in turn went on social media to assist her to solicit funds as all hopes seemed lost.

As luck will have it, Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah read the plea post for assistance on a WhatsApp platform and instructed his special adviser on disability, Mr A. Okonkwo (Anunuebe Nnewi), to reach out to her and verify the authenticity of the story.

The rest, as they say, is history today , as Senator Ubah invited Miss Amara to his Umuanuka palatial abode, where he gifted her the sum of five hundred thousand Naira(500K) to restart her business along with other gifts (standing Fan, bags of rice etc.)

Overwhelmed with joy, Miss Amara, who coincidentally also got the clutches that she is presently using from the same Senator Ubah during an empowerment program for the physically challenged, blind and disabled held last year, prayed that God continues to bless, protect, and guide him as he goes about putting smiles on the faces of our people.

Indeed, God used Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah to rewrite what would have been a bleak 2022 ending for the young disabled but hardworking Amara.

I wish to use this medium to convey my best wishes and prayers of goodwill to every one of you for your staunch support and steadfast love over the past years. Daalu!

As we all witnessed, the last twelve months were full of challenges bordering on the economy and security. Businesses have been threatened by activities of criminals and our brothers and sisters have remained scared of returning home. Investors have also been afraid of operating in our dear state. Not so long ago as you all are fully aware, I was a victim of the insecurity challenges as two of my Aides, Odum Ikechukwu and Goodnews Mathias as well as some security personnel attached to me were gruesomely murdered at Nkwọ Enugwu-Ukwu on Sunday September 11, 2022. An unforgettable and very sad day indeed. This unfortunate incident strengthened my resolve to partner with the State Government and other relevant authorities in a bid to proffer lasting solutions to this ugly menace.

May I use this medium to expressly appreciate our dear State Governor Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo for taking bold steps to curtail the demonic activities of criminals that wanted to seize our dear state to their advantage.

Despite these challenges ụmụ nne m, my office was able to take actions that will promote your wellbeing. I am happy that some of the projects I facilitated are now completed and functional. The Saint Patrick’s Hospital Ula, Ekwulobia was recently opened for public use by the Ekwulobia Catholic Diocese under the care of His Eminence Peter Ebere Cardinal Okpaleke. My office facilitated the hospital project in response to appeals by the residents of Ula community and Aguata Local Government Area. The hospital which is equipped with standard health units and departments is meant to support the health sector in taking proper care of citizens.

Earlier in the past year, I also commissioned a Primary Health Care Center in Uga which was facilitated by my office to boost provision of health care services in the community. I am happy to inform you all that my Bill for the establishment of Federal Orthopaedic Hospital, Ukpor in Nnewi South Local Government Area recently passed through second reading on the floor of Nigerian Senate and I am hopeful that when signed into law, the hospital will play vital role in prevention of avoidable deaths as medical emergencies resulting from accidents and related occurrences will be promptly addressed.

As our State Governor works round the clock to address security challenges in our dear state, I facilitated the Operation Light-Up and Secure Anambra South Project that will feature installation of solar powered facilities that are equipped with a Light-Emitting Diode (LED) light system and other powerful electronic gadgets that include walkie-talkies which will help security agencies in surveillance and security analysis in all Wards of our Senatorial District. The project which commenced in December 2022 was contracted to indigenous Engineers from various wards of Anambra South in a conscious bid to create employment opportunities across the Senatorial District. Today, I am happy to announce to you that these programs have started yielding fruits as "Operation Light Up and Secure Anambra South" has been met with great acceptance, joy and enthusiasm; ushering in a renewed hope for a better and safer Anambra South Senatorial District.

The above mentioned as well as other numerous projects and interventions that we have attracted and sited in different parts of the Senatorial District firmly cement and bring to fruition my resolve to deliver atleast one project in every ward in the entire 7 Local Government Areas that constitute Anambra South Senatorial District.

Ụmụ nne m, as we begin a new year with joy, hope and great expectations, it is my earnest prayer that your journey through 2023 will be filled with new opportunities, great health, and successful endeavours.
