The members of the AFA IGBO BU OFU MOVEMENT in continuation of their support for the Executive Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, chief Dr Sir Willie Maduaburochukwu Obiano's efforts in curtailing the spread of COVID-19 Pandemic in the State, today visited the New Auto Spare Parts (NASPA) Markets Nnewi where they provided the AIBO branded Face Masks to the market through its leadership under the chairmanship of Hon Obinna Okechukwu.
The AIBO delegation comprising the State Organizing Secretary, the Nnewi North LGA Coordinator, Nnewi North LGA Woman Leader, Nnewi North LGA Media Officer and two members from Umudim Ward one execo were led by the Anambra South Zonal Coordinator, Hon Muoneme Emmanuel.
In his presentation speech, Hon Muoneme informed the market leaders of all the efforts and contributions made so far by the AIBO in helping the State Government since the outbreak of this Pandemic.
The Chairman of the Market, Hon Obinna Okechukwu thanked the AIBO for all their tireless efforts in public enlightenment and sensitization against COVID-19 Pandemic. He urged them to keep the ball rolling and not to relent until the Pandemic is totally eradicated. Continuing further, he urged them to continue supporting the APGA led Govt under the leadership of Akpokuedike Global.

Recall that the AIBO under the capacified leadership of Hon Onyedika Chukwuma, Acobarry UK, (Ikukuoma politics) commenced the distribution of 5000 pieces of AIBO branded Face Masks in various Markets, Parks in Anambra State. They had earlier shared various palliative packages to the down troddens and the less privileged in various LGAs of the State. They were also among those that made cash donation to the Anambra State COVID-19 Pandemic task force.

Accunalysis Diagnostics Nnewi Is A Private Sector Operator Without Links To Any Politician

The management of Accunalysis Diagnostics Center Ltd, Nnewi, the first fully certified Covid-19 Testing Center in Anambra State has denied some reports circulating on social media, claiming that it has ties and investments from politically exposed persons.

Addressing the press in Awka on Monday, May 18, 2020, the Managing Director of the diagnostic center, Mr Chijike Agbaka said the company was embarrassed to read reports in the media alleging that a certain politician was an investor in its business.

"We have no relationship with any politician in Anambra State. We are a serious private sector operator and we are here to help Anambra State realize its dream of building a strong medical tourism industry. The claim by some politicians that they are behind our operations is not true," Mr Agbaka declared.

Speaking further, he revealed that the Chairman of Accunalysis Diagnostics, Chief Ifenna Okeke is a proud son of Anambra State who is passionate about investing in the state to contribute to its economic growth.

Mr Agbaka also confirmed that Accunalysis is a molecular laboratory which all types of tests, stressing that their involvement in Covid-19 testing is a result of public private partnership arrangement between the Anambra State Government, NCDC and Accunalysis. He revealed that they are putting finishing touches to a pending MOU with the Government of Anambra State following its certification and authorization by the NCDC to run Covid-19 tests in its laboratory.

Accunalysis diagnostics laboratory centre is sufficiently equipped to conduct medical inquiries and run complex tests on its ultramodern machines. Agbaka emphasized.

The New Otuocha Regional Water Supply Scheme has been commissioned.

Governor Willie Obiano commissioned the project which will service three communities in Anambra East including Aguleri, Umueri and Umuoba Anam.

The project which was jointly executed by the European Union and the state government, sources water from the Omambala river and has the capacity to treat ten million liters of water daily.

From the Omambala river, the water is pumped to the Water tank in Otuocha, from where it is reticulated.

Governor Obiano said that the target is to take water to all parts of the local government, calling on them to help government by taking ownership of the project, to protect it.

Recall that when he inspected the project on January 24th 2020, Governor Obiano gave assurances that the project will become operations in April of 2020.

Commissioner for Public Utilities and Water Resources, Engineer Emeka Ezenwanne, his works counterpart, Engineer Marcel Ifejiofor, traditional rulers of the three communities, among others, were present at the ceremony.

EXECUTIVE MEMBERS OF AIBO UMUDIM WARD ONE, NNEWI NORTH LGA HOLDS ITS FIRST EXCO MEETING.

The Executive members of the AFA IGBO BU OFU MOVEMENT in Umudim Ward one of Nnewi North LGA today Sunday, 17/05/2020 held its first full executive meeting at MING MEDIA EASTATE UMUDIM, NNEWI.
The meeting which was held under the leadership of the AIBO UMUDIM WARD ONE Coordinator, Mr Michael Muorah, his Secretary Victor Offor, Youth Leader, Osita Ibeanusi and Woman Leader Hon Mrs Yvonne Igwe was hosted by the owner of the eastate who is also the AIBO'S NATIONAL LEGAL ADVISER, in person of Hon Barr Chibedu Adili Ubah (Tino).
After the opening prayer, a minute silence was observed as a respect in honor of the deceased fathers of both the group's National Legal Adviser and the Ward's Secretary.(Both died last month)

As the meeting was going on, one of the major stakeholders of AIBO, Hon Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu Ikemba Ezeigbo gburugburu11, called on phone and appreciated the exco members for their believe and doggedness, he also assured them that we are on the right track and urged every member to remain focused, he later supported the meeting with a cash donation.

The Ward Coordinator updated the meeting about the events and programs at the Local Govt level.

The Woman Leader, Youth Leader, Secretary, Coordinator, Organizing Secretary, Welfare Officer and the PRO were all mandated to make sure that all the Ten chapters of AIBO in Umudim Ward one are functional before our next meeting.

Also in attendance with the National Legal Adviser were the State Organizing Secretary of AIBO, Mr Bona Ogbonna, the Woman Leader of APGA in Nnewi North LGA, Hon Mrs Achusim, the Chairman of APGA in Umudim Ward one, Onyeka Uzochukwu and Chief Emmanuel Ofordeme ( Emma Moon).

In line with the spirit of Onye aghana nwanne ya, and AFA IGBO BU OFU, some key positions were allotted to non indigenes residing in Umudim Ward one.

Roll calls and apologies were taken before the meeting came to an end, with our host and capacified National Legal Adviser lavishly entertaining the gathering with food and drinks.

The State Woman Leader and the State Secretary of the AIBO commenced a sensitization tours of all their Local governments area's in the State. The tour which was kick-started today from Awka North, took them to Awka South and Dunukofia Local Govt Areas.

The State Women Leader, Hon Mrs Amarachi Golibe in her message at the various point of call, gave proper explanation of What AIBO stands for and what is expected from all the Members.

She urged all Members to continue supporting the APGA led Government in our State, which is under the leadership of our ever willingly working Governor; His Excellency, Chief Dr. Sir, Willie Obiano (Akpokuodike Global), and his supportive wife, Her Excellency, Chief Dr Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, the mother of the modern day Anambra State (Osodieme Global) in their unrelenting efforts to contain the spread of Coronavirus Pandemic and for all the Palliatives packages they have and are still dolling out to Ndi Anambra..

In his own remarks, the State Secretary, Hon Solomon Onwusika, appreciated the members for their zeal and doggedness towards the promotion and expansion of the AIBO down to the grassroots. He also urged them to keep the ball rolling and not to relent until the message of AIBO reaches every nook and cranny of the State.

They dolled out many Palliatives packages, like Salt, Rice, Hand Sanitizer, Face masks and Soap to all the Local Govt Areas they visited.

Second Coronavirus Case in Anambra: Don't Panic, Comply with COVID19 Protocol

...Two Test Centres to be Approved Next Week

A Special Broadcast on Covid-19 by the Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano on Thursday 14th May, 2020.

1. Ndi Anambra ekenem unu.

2. I am here once again to address you on our efforts to protect Anambra State from the raging Covid-19 pandemic.

3. As you would have heard from the media, our beloved state recorded a new case of Covid-19 yesterday. The new case returned from Kano on the 6th of May after a short business trip.

4. It is saddening that despite our efforts to tighten security at the boundaries, this new case was able to sneak back into Anambra State after a trip to Kano.

5. He is currently receiving attention in one of our Protective Care Centers. His residence has been sealed off and we have commenced aggressive contact tracing to minimize the wave of community spread that might arise from this case.

6. Ndi Anambra, I urge you to be calm as Covid-19 Task Force is on top of the situation to ensure that this threat is quickly contained.

Testing Centers:

7. Ndi Anambra we are making gradual progress in our efforts to bring Covid-19 testing closer to our people. We have received assurances that the two laboratories that had been earmarked for approval shall be approved to operate fully as Covid-19 Testing Centers from next week.

8. A special training for professionals who will work in the laboratories is currently going on in readiness for the inauguration of the laboratories.

9. We have commenced aggressive case search in the 179 communities of Anambra State. This will help us ramp up the numbers in terms of testing and ensure immediate containment of any possible outbreak.

10. We are also hopeful that when our laboratories become fully operational, we shall be able to conduct more tests.

No Need for Panic:

11. Ndi Anambra, God has been on our side. Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country, we have had only two positive cases in Anambra State. We have made adequate arrangements for the containment of the pandemic.

12. There is therefore no need for panic. I urge you to go about your business lawfully and in strict compliance to the protocols of Covid-19.

13. These include regular washing of hands, the wearing of face-masks when stepping out, regular use of hand sanitizers and adherence to the principles of social distancing.

14. I am sure that once we keep to these principles it shall be well with Anambra State.

The Influx of People into Anambra State:

15. Ndi Anambra we have been monitoring developments across the country. In particular, we are aware of the mass movement of young people in groups from most of the epicenters of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.

16. As the Chief Security Officer of Anambra State, I have a responsibility to protect my people from avoidable threats to public health.

17. Consequently, we have directed the security agencies to ensure that movement into Anambra State by individuals and groups shall no longer be allowed. We are determined to enforce the federal order restricting movement between states across the country.

Curfew:

18. The nationwide curfew must be strictly observed in Anambra State. From now on, there will be no vehicular and human traffic into Anambra State from 8pm to 6am.

19. This includes essential goods and services. Every movement into Anambra State must wait until the next morning.

Donations:

20. I must sincerely commend all our illustrious brothers and sisters for the outpour of donations both to the state and to individual members of the society.

21. In the words of Corretta Scott King, the wife of Martin Luther King Jnr, the foremost African American civil rights hero, “the greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.”

22. Indeed, through the actions of our public spirited brothers and sisters who have risen to the challenge of Covid-19, the world has seen the greatness of Anambra State.

Conclusion:

23. In conclusion, Ndi Anambra the fight against Covid-19 is entirely in our hands. If we take full responsibility and conduct ourselves according to the guidelines prescribed by the WHO and NCDC on Covid-19, we shall win this war.

Today,11th of May, 2020, Afa igbo bu ofu women leaders of all the 21 local governments in Anambra state held their highly spirited meeting at Awka under the leadership of the state woman leader Hon Amarachi Joseph(Gollibe).

The meeting which was a strategic meeting was successful and the state woman leader used the opportunity to thank the National leader HON ONYEDIKA CHUKWUMA (IKUKUOMA POLITICS) and his exco for the well kind thought over the distribution of the 5000 noise mask to Ndi Anambra.
She also used the occasion to properly and officially inform them of her upcoming local governments tour to their various local governments.

She further, thanked the Executive Governor of Anambra, Chief Dr Sir Willie Maduaburochukwu Obiano, Akpokuedike Global and his wife for their proactive measures against COVID-19 pandemic, which has helped Anambra State tremendously to checkmate the spread of the virus in the State. They also used the opportunity to express their gratitude and happiness to the State government for dolling out palliative packages to the people of the state more especially when the state was on total lockdown.
The women prayed God to continue blessing and protecting Osodieme Global, for the latest houses and water boreholes she gave out to two windows last week.
They thanked God for the gift of a mother like OSODIEME GLOBAL to our fast growing State, and begged God to endue her with of the caring and loving spirit.
They also used the opportunity to shower prayers towards Her Excellency, for all the palliatives packages she dolled out to all the Correctional centers in the State, the physically challenged persons in the State, the people living with sickle cell amenia in the State and others.

The women resolved to take the AFA IGBO BU OFU message down to the grassroots in their various local government areas.

Work Advances at 100 Foot Road Erosion Control Project, Nnewi.

Work has reached an advanced stage on the erosion control project at the 100 Foot Road, Uruagu, Nnewi.
Governor Willie Obiano embarked on the inspection of the project, being undertaken by the Anambra State government at the cost of over three billion naira.
On arrival, it was discovered that the site, has been filled with laterite while most part of the work on the storm water diversion discharge has been completed.
According to the Governor, his constant visit to the erosion site, lays credence to the importance his administration places on such critical infrastructure that has enormous socio-economic impact.
While calling on Ndi Anambra not to forget to practice the COVID-19 protocols as laid down by the World Health Organization, he pledged that his administration will complete the erosion project in a record time, expressing optimism that the road has been finally reclaimed.
The Commissioner for Works, Mr Marcel Ifejiofor who recalled that some buildings in the area had been lost as a result of the erosion said that the Ministry and the contractor handling the project are waiting for the rains to return fully, to enable them determine the water settlement.
Mr Ifejiofor an Engineer, reiterated that the contractor has been fully mobilized for the certificates generated, adding that asphalting of the road will hopefully commence by August.
Responding the Contractor handling the project, Mr Youssef Zchaib extolled the support of the members of the community since they commenced the project, assuring that they were working hard to deliver the project according to schedule.
The Member representing Nnewi North Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Nonso Smart Okafor commended the Governor for showing great commitment to the project, saying that they will continue to support the good efforts of his administration.
The Commissioner for Youth Entrepreneurship and Creative Economy, Hon Afam Mbanefo, was among those that accompanied the Governor to the inspection.

The National leader of the Movement Hon Onyedika Chukwuma( Aco Barry Uk) Ikuku Oma politics who disclosed earlier last week that AIBO in compliance with Governor Willie Obiano directives that all citizens should wear face mask maintained that Anambra state police Command who are leading the fight for compliance deserves to be encouraged!!
This led to the decision of the National body of the movement to donate face mask to Anambra police Command through the Hon Commissioner of police Mr John Abang!!to be shared among men and women of the Anambra police command!!

Receiving the face mask, the Hon Commissioner of police thanked Members of AFAIGBOBUOFU movement for this show of commitment to ensure that men and women of the force are also protected.

He appreciated the good gesture and called on good citizens of the state and organisations to always remember that police is their friend while he assure the movement representatives that soon they will start seeing members of Anambra command putting on the customised face mask while on duty.

Anambra State government reacts to the conflict between two neighboring communities.

The Conflict between the People of Umumbu and Omor Communities in Ayamelum Local Government Area.

1. The Anambra State Government notes with profound sadness the conflict between the people of Umumbo and their neighbours in Omor community, Ayamelum Local Government Area, over land ownership which has in the last two days resulted in one confirmed fatality and the destruction of valuable assets in both places. Security agents drawn from the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigerian Army and the National Security and Civil Defence Corps have since been drafted to the scene to stabilize the situation and maintain law and order.

2. This conflict is a negation of the strenuous effort the government and people of Anambra State have been making in the past six years to make Anambra not only the safest and most secure state in the federation but also the most socially harmonious.

3. Given that the state government considers the safety of the life and property of every Anambra person an article of faith, those responsible for the violence between the Omor and Umumbo communities will be made to feel the full weight of the law accordingly. The security agencies, including the Anambra Vigilante Group (AVG), are hereby directed to arrest everyone involved in the conflict and bring him or her to justice. The arrests and subsequent prosecution in the law court will be made regardless of the status of each person in society.

4. The arrest and prosecution of those connected with the Umumbo-Omor crisis will serve as a lesson to other people who may wish to fan the embers of disunity and crisis in any other part of the state. The utterances and actions of these elements are inimical to the state government’s drive towards the rapid economic and social development of the state.

5. The Anambra State Government assures all ndi Anambra of its unwavering resolve to make our state the most peaceful in Nigeria and beyond. Though the Umumbo-Omor conflict is an isolated incident, it will attract a robust response from the government. No person can shed the blood of any Anambra person and expect to go scot-free because life is sacred. Anambra State must remain the Light of the Nation.

Markets In Nnewi Commend Obiano For Easing Lockdown, Comply With COVID -19 Safety Measures

Traders and inhabitants of the commercial city of Nnewi have returned to their various businesses after about thirty-five days of Market closure by the Anambra State government, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
From Agbo-Edo Market, Agbo Edo United Market, to the Fairly Used and New Motorcycles Dealers, Agbo-Edo Motor Spare Parts to New Auto Spare Parts Markets, it was messages of commendation for Governor Willie Obiano.
We also observed over ninety per cent compliance with the precautionary measures agaist COVID-19 being enforced by the Market Task Force members and traders.


At the entrance of the Markets, it was observed that the Task Force manned the gates as they direct the traders and buyers to wash their hands and make use of alcohol based hand sanitizers before they will be allowed into the Market.

They also ensured that everybody wore their facemasks before entering the Market.

The Chairman of Agbo-Edo United Market, Mr Joe Enumah, thanked the State government for re-opening the Markets and pledged total commitment to enforcing the preventive measures within the Market.
The Secretary New Auto Spare Parts Association, Mr Uche Ezechukwu, commended the traders for their positive and commendable behaviours towards the measures to curb the spread of the virus.


Earlier, the Chairman of Fairly Used and New Motorcycles Dealers Association, Mr Chukwueloka Ubajekwe, noted that the re-opening of Markets does not mean an end to coronavirus pandemic, but just to ease the sufferings and hardship on the people.

Some traders at Fairly Used and New Motorcycles Dealers Association, Messrs Sunday Mbah, Onyebuchi Ezeh and James Igboabuchi, expressed satisfaction with the reopening of the Markets in the State by the State government.

In furtherance of government directive on the use of face mask by the citizenry, the wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr. (Mrs) Ebelechukwu Obiano (Osodieme) has launched Operation Wear Your Face Mask to promote public adherence to the use of the mask as a protection against the Coronavirus pandemic.

Mrs Obiano performed the launch today 6th May, 2020, at their Aguleri home, supported by the leadership of the Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU) Women Wing. The women were mandated to carry the gospel to their various communities across the State.

While addressing the select group of women, Mrs Obiano said it became necessary to get mothers involved in the advocacy in order to ensure statewide compliance.

"This Coronavirus disease requires erternal vigilance and our women are strategically placed to lead the campaign for promotion of self discipline. I had cause to visit our radio station- ABS - to urge our people to observe the Covid-19 protocols. But it would seem some still think the threat is not real.This is the time for ndi Anambra and Nigerians to take personal hygiene seriously. We are required to wash our hands regularly with running water, observe the social distancing and wear our face mask when going out in order to stay safe" Mrs Obiano said.

She added : "This is why I called you here to launch Operation Wear Your Face Mask, and I am happy that ASATU Women are already doing the right thing. What is left is for us to carry the campaign to our communities and homes and we should also intensify our prayers to ensure that the virus does not ravage us."

In her brief remark, the Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue, commended the wife of the Governor for initiating the launch and her continuous enlightenment and advocacy for women groups on the prevention of the Coronavirus.

Earlier the Chairperson, ASATU Women Wing, Lady Franca Nwigbo, thanked the wife of the Governor for inviting them to be part of the launch which she described as a timely call by a caring mother who not only looks after widows but also seeks the welfare of ndi Anambra.

"We are assuring you as ASATU Women of our unalloyed support and that this campaign of Operation Wear Your Face Mask will reach everyone."

A symbolic launch and demonstration of the proper wearing of face mask was performed by the wife of the Governor.

When Osodieme prayed to be blessed with success, she was propelled by the passion to give back to the society.

What Osodieme is doing today can be classified as the fruit of her burning desire and passion to do the things that pleases God and that is touching lives positively in our society.

Osodieme is not selfish and has proved that beyond every reasonable doubt.

She believes in the assertion that there is love in sharing.

During the commissioning of the two houses she built for indigent widows, Osodieme made an interesting revelation in her speech at the occasion.

The revelation she made has to do with the propelling force and genesis of her acts of philanthropy.

She revealed that when she was searching for a job at NNPC as a young woman, she prayed to God with a contrite heart and pleaded God to help her get that job with a promise that if she succeeds in getting the job that she will not eat her salary alone rather she will be using part of her salary to help the needy.

Do you know why Osodieme prayed to God with an open heart, she prayed because God is her only hope meaning that she doesn't have any godfather as at that time.

Another thing is that she is a well trained virtuous woman that doesn't want to soil her dignity like some women of nowadays.

She put all her hope and trust in God believing that God will give her the NNPC job and that if she actualise the miracle, she will remember the needy.

From this story, you will agree with me that even when Osodieme is in dire need of a job, she has started thinking of helping those that she is better than.

God seeing her natural kind heart, blessed her with that NNPC job, when she secured the job, she fulfilled her promise of using part of her salary to help the needy and that opened her door of divine blessing so wide to the extent that the divine blessing of God started falling like rain upon her till date.

God crowned Osodieme blessing with the gift of a loving and caring man as husband and that is Governor Obiano.

COVID-19 Response: Umueri Protective Care Center Nears Completion

The Anambra State Covid-19 Protective Center undertaken by Access Bank Plc, at Umueri General Hospital is nearing completion.

Governor Willie Obiano inspected the center where it was observed that true to their words, the bank has donated one hundred beds in addition to the twenty beds earlier provided by the state government.

Governor Obiano thanked the management of the bank for fulfilling their promise, pointing out that Fidelity Bank is also equipping a center at Ekwulobia General Hospital.

While recalling that the Umueri General Hospital is the oldest hospital in that area, the Governor said that Access Bank will soon open a branch of the bank in Umueri.

He called on Ndi Anambra to adhere to the COVID-19 protocols against the spread of the virus, while his administration will continue to do everything within its powers to contain the situation.

The Tradional Ruler of Umueri, Igwe Ben Emeka pledged their support to the present government while appreciating the Governor for attracting such facility to Umueri, including the International Cargo Airport which is undergoing construction.

The Commissioner for Health, Dr Vincent Okpala had conducted a tour of the Immaculate Heart Multi-Specialty Hospital, including the ten - bed Protective Care Center sited within the hospital premises.

The Protective Care Center also has Ventilators, cardiac monitors, oxygen concentrator, among others.

Dr Okpala explained that the essence of his visit was to share the vision of the Governor for the hospital, said that it is a comprehensive arena, and expressed confidence that the facility can effectively manage any medical emergency, including COVID-19 cases.

Concerning a video circulating on social media about a young man who alleged that four patients died in the hospital due to staff negligence, Commissioner Okpala stressed that having gone through the records, such cases were not recorded in the facility.

Osodieme Calls for Self Discipline as She Hands over Free House to two Widows

The wife of the Governor of Anambra State and founder of the Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFE), an NGO, Dr. (Mrs.) Ebelechukwu Obiano (Osodieme) has called for observance of self-discipline and compliance to Covid-19 protocols in order to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus in our communities.

Osodieme made the plea on 5th April, 2020 at the handover of two houses she built free for two widows, each at Akwaihedi, Nnewi South and Igboukwu in Aguata Local Government Area.

Osodieme said that the advent of Coronavirus has changed our world drastically and the new rule is, 'If want to stay alive, stay at home!'

In her words:

"Since this pandemic started, we have all been rooted to our homes. Unfortunately, there are some of our sisters who cannot stay comfortably because they have no roof over their heads. This is why I decided to come out today to ensure that our sisters stay at home and stay safe by handing the keys to two new 2-Bedroom bungalows built free by my NGO, CAFE."

She went further to counsel the people of Akwaihedi and Igboukwu to "be disciplined and responsible by observing basic hygiene and social distancing. This Coronavirus disease is real and can kill if you don't do simple things like: Using face mask when leaving your house, washing hands with soap regularly, using sanitizers and avoiding crowded places."

Mrs. Obiano promised that the houses will be furnished with necessary household furniture and television within the week to ensure the comfort of the beneficiaries. She called on everyone to learn to help others who are less privileged especially at this time.

"Don't wait till you can make it big, do what you can now to help others; no matter how little. You are also encouraged to support what we are doing by donating to CAFE and we will acknowledge your support," Osodieme enjoined the people.

Speaking at the event, Member Representing Nnewi South II Constituency, Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Johnbosco Akaegbobi, commended the Wife of the Governor and her NGO for remembering an indigent widow in Akwaihedi with a new house at a most ideal time. He said, "We are indeed grateful to you and also to your husband, our Governor who gives you all the support to touch lives."

In the same vein, Member Representing Aguata Constituency in Anambra State House, Hon Okey Okoye, prayed for Osodieme : "God who gave you the grace to turn this widow's place in Igboukwu from a dilapidated state to brand new house will continue to bless and keep you and your husband in Jesus name."

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue, conveyed the greetings of the women and children of Akwaihedi and Igboukwu to the Wife of the Governor for braving the threat of Coronavirus to make the house handover possible for the two widows possible.

Earlier, the Transition Committeee Chairman Nnewi South Local Government Area, Hon Chieloka Okoye, thanked Mrs. Obiano for building a house for a widow in the Council Area. Equally his Aguata counterpart, Hon Eche Ezeibe, said they were indeed proud of all Osodieme's charitable programmes and are praying fervently that God will keep her and her husband, Akpokuedike, healthy to continue to work for the good of ndi Anambra.

Beneficiaries Mrs Ifeoma Ogbuanukwu of Umunwehi Village, Akwaihedi and Mrs Monica Okeke of Ezihu village Igboukwu thanked Osodieme for the best gift ever and prayed that God will also bless her and her family. The houses are amongst the twenty-seven built and now handed over to the beneficiaries by CAFE. Another one in Ozubulu will be commissioned and handed over at a later date.

It's a day of double blessings from the Mother of the modern day Anambra State, as she gifted another widow today.

Anambra State Governor's Wife, Dr. Ebelechekwu Obiano, has extended her charitable deeds as she donated a newly commissioned bungalow and water borehole to a widow, Mrs Monica Okeke, of Ezihu Village in Igbo-Ukwu, Aguata Local Government Area.
Presenting the keys, Dr. Mrs Obiano said the new two-bedroom bungalow was intended to ensure that the beneficiary stays at home and safe, in the spirit of being one’s brother’s and sister’s keeper.
