Hi everyone.
I am trying to fill ILR application form, part of the documents requested is a letter from your employer to cover periods of absence from UK even if your absence was your annual leave. I am no more with the employer I was with at the time i travelled out of the country and as such, can’t get this letter from the employer. What else can I use?

I have ticked the OTHERS option with the intention of writing a letter to explain my absence, is that enough?

Please Justwise, Lagosismyhome, lexusgs430 any ideas on the above? Or is there already a thread dedicated to ILR application through tier2 route?

I thought there’s a way to hide some comments on this thread. I suggest we shld start doing that otherwise, the purpose of this thread will be defeated

I think reporting the comment also hides it.

Best thing is to just ignore these questions since people can’t read and follow simple instructions.

There is a thread for student visa application, there is also one for students living in the UK… but they just keep bringing these study related questions here.

Abegii let me go continue reading my life in the UK boring book.

Good morning

Sadly my sch travel didnt work due to one or two reasons. .
Funds went into something else, i got married and now i am making plans to come over.
Though not as a student but dependent .
My Wife passed ielts and hospitals are already calling her for jobs in UK.

My question are.. .
1. do you think its possible to continue with my studying wen i come.
2. As a dependent are there jobs i can do to add up and keep the family going.
3. In ur view what's ur best advise or suggestions on areas i am not considering.
Wish i could have a phone talk

1. Continue your study as in? The previous admission that you didn’t meet up with? You can study on a dependant visa so long as you have your money to pay tuition as you will still be paying as an international student.

2. Yes, there are jobs and you can work and must work as a matter of fact, your wife’s income alone can’t sustain you as a family.

3. That’s for you to search and ask google based on your personal preference and decide. Also, it will depend on where your wife gets a job

All the best!

Like @lexusg430 said, you need to go back and read through the thread

Op. I’ve read all your submissions and I really hope things get better for you and you can work things out with your wife. I believe you guys aren’t a hopeless case yet.

And just to add, maybe consider if external information might be making you biased. I don’t know your unique situation but some things you have mentioned should not be a problem where there is trust. I.e- I’m also a dependent. And I’m not on any bills except tenancy. I don’t care, I’m not worried and it doesn’t make me suspect my husband of enslavement. We have renewed visa many times. The UK gov doesn’t ask whose name is on the bills when it’s time to renew. I buy and do things for my kids sometimes without telling my husband, confess later and we both laugh. It’s not a big deal.

Not to disregard how you feel, but shut out the noise and really talk to your wife. Remember the woman you married and see honest conversation + more trust will help you both. Wish you the best.

Thank you ooo

My husband na my dependant
He has Been here 2 years. He is not in any of our bills, he only recently asked I transfer electricity bills to his name cos he is trying to build his credit score. I called council may be a year after being here to add him to council tax.

His name on or off our bills has never been an issue, never been raised, never been talked about.

Honestly I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t expecting the refund at all. I was still trying to find to apply for the refund using the link that was pasted here some weeks back.
