This happen to my husband years ago.... we saw a website online that claim to do dbs. We paid and it entered voice mail. It only when he got a job that the dbs was properly processed

So I think you should focus on getting a job and if the employment need DBS then they can do it as part of their post job referencing stage

Thank you for responding. The thing is this wasn’t an online thing. This was done through a nursing agency with a physical office. We have been to their physical office. He looked my brother and wife in the face, collected full money for application and lied he did the dbs application whereas he didn’t. They have spent the last two months chasing for the certificate for an application that was never made.

They have called severally requesting for reference number to track and hr still couldn’t say he did not make this application.

I really need to know how to treat such fraud cos this person is not some anonymous online business

Hi my people
Long time no see.
Been a little while
In the period of my absence, a few things have changed. Myself and kids are now British citizens. Praise God!

To the point of this post
My brother came into the uk in February on tier 4
He has been in the process of registering with an agency, they supposedly applied for his dbs since the beginning of March and till date it’s not yet out. He keeps calling and they keep saying it was in stage 1, stage 2 and eventually said it’s gone through all the stages and he should expect it in the post.

We have waited all week and nothing arrived. I ring this agency myself today and requested for the reference number to track it and this man says he will send it and didn’t send it after several hours. I google and find a contact number to reach DBS representative so I called using the number. After providing my brother ‘a details, can you believe that DBS has no record of his and the wife’s DBS application. Like this man didn’t apply for their DBS after collecting full fees for this application.

I quickly started recording when he confirmed they dont have details of any application with the details I provided.

Please where do I take this deceit and fraud to? I am ready to follow this up cos this is the height of wickedness. Two long months my brother and wife have been waiting for dbs so they can work, he knew he didn’t apply but have been lying. How mean can people be? He has asked severally for number and he will tell him he is sending it but never sends it until I decided to call myself today

Please advice my people

With bullies they are usually carried away by the crowd or their followers edging them on!

Hi everyone
Thank you all for the amazing job everyone contributing here is doing
Quick question about maintenance funds

I know the statement has to be in the student’s name or parents
Question is, can my mom’s account be used for my brother who is married? I mean, is it ok to use my mom as a sponsor for my brother and his dependants (3kids plus wife)

Country of nationality: Nigeria. Place of birth: I put Newcastle where they were born.

@lagosismyhome

Thank you for your response, I have attached a part of the application.

What do I then fill in as their nationality here? They were both born here, I want their first passport to be British passport.

Lucky you. Enjoy the few weeks of rest.

Mind if I make some clarifications that might help when I'm applying for mine.

How long did you state that she will be visiting for?
Did she include that she had dependents?

I stated she’d be staying 2 months
I didn’t include any dependants for her. I wrote 0 for number of dependants

I didn’t upload anything in that regards. I uploaded previous US visa, entry and exit stamps. I guess having been to US several times was probably enough for them

Every week your Mum is around, give her monies you can afford (tell her to keep it for you).......

Unknown to her, that would be her take away fund .......... wink

Yes, I plan to give her something on weekly or monthly basis. I will ask her inlaw to please also give his own oo. I can’t begin to describe the work of childcare for 2 babies less than 3 yrs of age.

I tried a professional minder, she told me £40 for 2 hours in the evening and £40 for 2 hours in the morning. That is £80 for me to go do one shift! How much will the shift pay me na. My husband kuku say make I no drop his kids anywhere. We will do it by ourselves if it means cutting down on our hours, then so be it
We currently working opposite each other. I work when he is off and he works when I am off.

We are both tired and exhausted as it feels like having no day off since our off days are spent babysitting / little kids.

I live in the USA but am enjoying the parenting advice . I have a 3 year old and he will be starting prekindergarten 3 in August , please which prekindergarten is better Montessori , classical education or regular prekindergarten. He got offer from Alief Montessori community school in Houston, KIPP sharp college prep charter school, westchase classical academy and Harvard elementary all in Houston. I am confused the one to choose , am a new immigrant and almost all have good ratings.

Small world. My sis kids used to attend kipp. They lived at wil crest drive but they moved recently and kids changed school. I live in uk but have visited a few times so I know the area.

Back to your question. My sis loved kipp, she had such a hard time moving het kids out of there. In fact, she considered taking them back after she got them

Hey Mama. If you’ve never added them to your application as dependents (hence negating the need for a resident card/BRP) then you should be able to use their birth certificate.

I’ve always applied for my kids passports when we visit Naija but I hear applying here is straightforward as well. Have you checked the website and are having trouble with anything?

No, never added them as dependants so they don’t have BRP

See the attached. It already listed birth certificate and there is this as well which is why I am concerned if birth certificate is enough or not

I have looked at the requirements for Naija passport online, not really a lot but it’s just the waiting time that I am worried about.

Here’s to raising strong families.

Ah ah
How is it I am just seeing this now when I have 2 under 3s in this Uk.

Na search for mamatukwas to look for her post on obtaining passport for kids land me here oo.

Ok, let me start reading from the beginning.

But firstly, if this has already been addressed, my apologies in advance.
I am completing application for citizenship for my 2kids born before I got ILR
Now, it’s asking for ID document, can I use just birth certificate as an ID document for them? If not, biko, can someone break down the process of getting Nigerian passport for kids again that wouldn’t take forever.

I was hoping to submit the applications this month end

Thanks in advance
